Sadly Rift has turned out to be just the same old same old. Two months in and I'm tired of it. It's the same crap with a different wrapper.

Swtor is the same but with cinematics!

GW2 is the real competitor here. Not only is it going to be a better game at it's foundation but it's simply awesome looking.

GW2 broke the mold so to speak, Rift reused an old one lieing around.

Rift is growing like mad, servers are so full it's hard at times to quest but that will pass.

I played WoW for 6 years. I played the Rift trial for one day and the next day I bought the collector's edition, unsubbed from WoW and completely removed it from my game drive.

Rift is like crack and I just can't get enough... maybe I need a doctor :P

World of Warcraft DOES NOT have 11 million active subscribers. When are you idiots that keep saying this going to get a brain?

Since World of Warcraft's initial release 11 million accounts have been created. This does not mean all of these accounts are active.

Certainly a few million players are currently subscribed but that's about it. This doesn't include China subs.

And no WoW is not that great of a game. it came along and filled a niche that needed filling. There timing couldn't have been more perfect. Ever think of why their forums are 90% complaints?
