Hi All

Could you tell me how long it was when you got your "early access code" from when you pre-ordered?

Also where did you pre-order from & what date?

I pre-ordered from play.com on 30/12/11 & still haven't got my code.

I have absolutely no idea what format that date is in.

I ordered on the first day possible, 7/21, from Amazon and got my code in about 3 minutes.

I was confused too when I first saw the date, as that would be December 30, 2011. lol. I assume they meant 30/11/11.

On topic, I also ordered from Amazon in July and had my pre-order code within an hour. I have no experience ordering anything with play.com.

Most open beta are just to get players hooked onto the game pre launch imo

Maybe because this game has a story line they didnt want to risk losing sales  ( would be like if you watched a movie before it was released then got offered to buy the movie )

That's a good point. Though, are they doing an early access? I didn't see that mentioned either, and that's something most games give to pre-orders as a perk.

They really don't need an open beta, due to the fact that they have well over 1 million beta testers apparently, which is more than enough to stress test the servers, etc. I would agree that giving away too much of the story would possibly sour it for some people. I know working my way through the story is what I'm looking forward to.

If you check the official site, yes they are offering early access to pre-order customers.

You guys should possibly read the actual press release from Paragon one more time. The update hasn't been released yet. They are just giving us a look at the features coming with it.

That being said, I'm looking forward to everything in the new update!

If anyone could send a NA buddy key my way I would be most appreciative!

Osiris029@hotmail.com

Thanks a bunch!

I'd love to give the game a try if anyone could send me a buddy invite. NA preferred.

Thank you!

Sent both of you wondering about the codes a PM!

Look forward to seeing you in-game!

To answer your questions OP:

1)You do NOT have to purchase the Architect edition in order to make missions. Just go to any Architect Entertainment building and start creating!   :)

2)Its not empty. Not as populous as it once was, but definitely not empty. Try Freedom or Virtue. They have the highest populations and I've never had trouble finding a team. Also, with the Going Rogue expansion coming in August we will be seeing a population growth.

Hope that helps.

PM sent!

I don't necessarily disagree that the community has gone downhill somewhat in recent times, Mission Architect a part of that, but perhaps you are looking in the wrong spots?

My main characters are on Virtue and I never have trouble getting a team together(RP or no RP) and 9 times out of 10 its a great get together and we all have a blast. Just last night I was showing a player returning to the game the ropes again.

Atlas may not be crowded as it once was but there are still plenty of great people and experiences to be had in the game. Once Going Rogue releases I'm sure we will see an increase in population as well.

I'm sending you a PM right now Mardane!

Actually, the answer is yes.

The Pre-ORDER of the Complete Collection  does include a month of game time. You can go pay for it now but you don't get anything until the box sets come out(in July or whenever the release date happens to be). It also includes an item pack with special costume sets and a bonus power.

However, the Pre-PURCHASE does not include the free month of time, or the extra goodies that come in the Complete Collection pack. However you can pay for this and receive access to both Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning immediately. Something the Pre-ORDERS do not get.

Hope that made sense! lol

I'm running it on my Windows 7 64 bit PC right now so nothing to worry about. :)

I keep asking those same questions of the CME fans and employees who come here. I never get a straight answer. While one fan may come here and pretend to understand the truth, he'll then turn around and go badmouth us over on the official forums. The rest of the fans just say, Nuh uh, hater!" And the employees say stupid shit like, "I chose to participate in the scam because this was my one chance to make a video game." In fact, my indictment of that stupid statement (and Agricola's) is what made Shane so annoyed that he finally posted here to begin with.

So, I welcome a logical discuss of the moral issues associated with this game if anyone cares to participate.

I stopped commenting on here a LONG time ago because I was sick of all the FanOri coming over here spouting all their "facts". Pugla, your comment pretty much sums up the whole situation.

Supremeaaron and Kadael (others have as well, but they have all faded away as no progress ever gets made on the game front) both come over here and all they basically say over and over is, "I know that the whole company is involved in scam after scam and has a truckload of lawsuits, but I don't care and will continue to support them as long as my game gets made."

Drives me insane how anyone with any morals can support a company like that just so they can get a half-assed game version of the Stargate universe. I'm sorry but in my mind, the Stargate IP deserves much, much more than what they'll get from CME at this point.

Seriously only the super nerds give a shit how the Romulans look. It's the only drwaback i can see to making a startrek game is that if say theres one extra window on the s-class whatever some guy (similar to the OP) with his official one size fits all ST jumpsuit with the matching glue on ear tips  is going to start pounding his keyboard until he trolls himself into warp speed.

Trekkies do carry the biggest nitpicks. I've never seen a cult of fans quite like them. They've been griping about every series or movie for as long as I can remember.YOu can never please them so it's pointless even trying.

I've never understood all the nitpicks. I've been a Trek fan for as long as I can remember and I've always just enjoyed the series for what they are, entertainment. All the people that sit around trying to find the one wrong thing with e certain episode just ruin the whole experience of Star Trek for themselves and sometimes others. I love Trek, but I don't think I 've ever been that extreme that I'm debating how many windows are supposed to be on a certain class of vessel or the exact warp speed of a certain type of engine.

I'm encountering the same issue. The game downloaded perfectly  but when I go to launch the game, the splash screen comes up and immediately I get a "GameGaurd Error 114".

I had the same issue when I tried to play Spellborn and I'n not sure how to correct it.

Hmmmm, why didn't Agricola announce that?!?  So quick to jump on the bad news but never willing to talk about the good.  Why do some people want others to fail so badly?  I realize that the counter being removed means nothing (I have not idea if they are current on their payroll), I'm just pointing out how badly this dude wants SGW to fail (or at least how much he likes drama).

Its funny, if you had actually read any of Agricola's posts, you would have known he never wanted SGW to fail. I'm not sure how anyone can think this game is in a good state seeing employees not being paid, pyramid schemes, outright lies about the state of the game(anyone who's seen beta footage knows it was more like alpha, if that), and all the other bs that CME has drug Stargate through.

Oh and just FYI, that statement  "I'm done here"  could also be taken as the employee who had the website up, quit CME. See what I did there.

This is the part that worries me. MGM just not caring enough about having a software title for SG and just leaving the lisence with CME/firesky. CME/firesky/handcranked/whatever can't put out titles. They are a company that makes moeny by collecting investors, NOT delivering products. We can argue about what companies we'd like the lisence to go to, but the fact is ANY other company that has a title thats made it to release would be better than where we are now.

The lights may still be on, but no one is home.

Cryptic/NCsoft/EA/SOE/Bioware/Bethesda would ALL be better at this point. They are actual proven software companies.

I totally agree with you. Honestly, any of these companies would be better than what the Stargate license is getting right now.

MGM isn't going to take the lack of product for too much longer I don't think.

Oops, double post.

Time will tell. I -do- believe it'll arrive; when I don't know, in what capacity I don't know.

Constantly having people 'rag' on about any downfall (or whatever they see fit) no matter how trivial is just pathetic; if you don't have an interest in the game, then leave the forum to people who actually DO. People who would like to discuss it, debate over it : -not- constantly whine over it.

Old saying works here I guess : "don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all" ;)

I don't think it has anything to do with ragging on the "downfall" of the game and it has nothing to do with not having an interest in the game. I have a great interest in the game. The problem is all of these bad choices, scams and all the other moronic things the company has done over the past years to get to the place they are at now.

Honestly, I saw the state of the game with the "beta" testing they did. One of my friends showed me the horrible alpha state the game was actually in. Personally all this horrible management, scamming the investors, and now this "new" game company, I hope MGM pulls the license and gives it to someone that deserves it. Cryptic Studios is one off the top of my head that know what they're doing and don't pull the bs CME has.
