RP isn't hard

Light some candles, get in the mood.

Buy replica weaponry and hide it under your bed

Buy AoC and roll on a dedicated RP server

Dofus is decent, although I stopped at around lvl 50 because the next spell for my ranger class was at 90 or something.

However it is turn based mmo, but not the sci-fi type. It's more fantasy based, but there aren't any trolls or elves. Just weird creations that give the game its own unique persona.

It has a crafting system, that is decent, although some professions aren't very useful.

Give it a try, or wait for the sequel Wakfu, the release date is unknown atm.

Its when your taking a pee, and remember a fond memory. 

This is a "type game" http://www.ddo.com/. Never played it but it fits your description. It's currently rated 7.75 on mmorpg so it shouldn't be horrific.

You will probably never really know until you buy the game. This could be the game, you have always been waiting for. However it wasn't for me.

The target market today, is for early teens. Jagex tried to turn itself into a focus group, for a younger audience. They are actually turning rs into a kiddy toon town happy land.

No devloping teen wants to be associated with kiddy happy runescape of today.   This spits in the face of what made Rune Scape great.

They got big because it was easy to play on any platform and the game itself was open ended. 

They impvoved by,  introducing a few charecters and new quests you cannot you replace the drive of what once was.

What once was player vs player. Became wildy to pvp. now its no more pvp. Some of you cheer it on, wait till they take something of yours.

It looks old but apparently the fun factor is high.

However if this game doesnt have a trial, or demo.

There is no way Im paying a monthly fee just to test an unrecognized game.

There is 1 human npc, apparently he hands out quests and such. There are only a few types of mobs, however they are divided into ranks, sort of like a gobbel, warchief and royal gobbel if you have played Dofus.

The overview map is probably not operational yet because they are still making adjustments to the layout. The lag may come from graphical settings. It may sound weird but that was a problem with dofus, even though its just 2d isometric. Try turning down some of your video settings.

There was no competition. Just who can click the fastest. Create fake account, collect key, rinse repeat. I doubt the admins will bother making a competition for the next batch. Doing so would require them to read or judge and expend effort.

I have the game, so if in the future they improve game play I will probably re-subscribe.

1. Reduce instances

2. Less linear

3. Put promised content ingame

4. Kill all fanbois

I think they were dishonest. I was looking forward to this game so much. They spend to much time on eye candy, and putting overkill on detail. They should have been making the game fun. Or finishing content. Whatever, I'll find another game, its not the end of the world.

someone said to check out the camelot herald to see the status of the servers. So I went and this is what I saw. Can someone explain this?

Well khilla, while you try to sound mature and open minded, It does come of  like a kid playing doctor.  The only things mentioned about Conan were simply to put my current tastes into perspective. To explain what I  I learned about myself and the games I like now. If you felt I was blabbering on and on about conan, on YOUR vanguard forums then I'm sorry, It wasn't my intention. I wasn't aware you were neighborhood watch, go citizens arrest someone else.

Its not harsh at all. If they got insta banned without any investigation that would be harsh. With no chance of appeal or explanation.

Having all they're money taken is fair, seeing as funcom doesn't know how much they took. Also if the biggest punishment for exploiting was being made to give back only what you stole....then everyone would give it a shot.

I think it was a smart move what funcom did. Also what kind of person would exploit a bug and believe that funcom put it there intentionally because they love your clan and its your little secret gift for being uber cool.

I played this game, but was putt of by the staggering about of auto botters. For me, seeing that in any game is a sign of decay. So two thumbs down, or 4 punches to the face. Your choice.

I have been a staunch supporter of AoC. Sometimes my fanaticism got the better of me, I have even received a warning from a forum mod to that extent.

Well, I'm not here to pet anyones ego, and tell them AoC sucks. AoC is a block buster movie. It has a plot, direction, and at times you feel like an observer. I just realized what I need is a book. It's somewhat the same, but in a book, you become part of the story. A book depends on your imagination and participation to create the battles, trials and the tribulations.

We'll yes...but I'm not the kind of person who likes being clear and concise. Or getting to the point directly. You see, I really am cut out for a sand box game!

I failed to get sucked into Conan's world. Believe me I tried, however after a week I realized I was simply fooling myself. We come from different worlds, he's a barbarian, a loner, a renegade. I'm a straight male with weak wrists.

It's been years, since I've played a game that knocked me off my feet. Where I rush home and climb the stairs two at a time to get back to the fantasy world, with treasures and tombs to explore.

Since my teens, I've tamed the nerd in me. I started dating, picked up sports, finished my education. Now that I'm older, I was hoping AoC could be that game where I could live out the nerd that has been laying dormant in me. 

However my tastes have changed. AoC is not for me, so here I am, about to go on a date with Vanguard. My only thoughts are, should I bring flowers or chocolates?

I'm afraid you can't have the 5 minutes of your life that I wasted. It's mine now along with the part of you that died reading this post. Trolls should be given bells like lepers in the dark ages, that way we all know they're coming.

At first I dismissed this game when I saw the forums and the screen shots.

However this is really essentially what a sand box game is about. You get a character with a few basic tools and you shape your world. However the standard approach to sand box games is to make things as complicated as possible thereby giving the illusion of freedom.

Hopefully because this game is in its infancy. It can be like a paintbrush that lets the player express themselves without being directed.
