Darkfall = Another AOC failure. Warhammer = EA's version of WoW..
Which do you think will win? Number 2 publisher vs.. indie Publisher.. EA ftw.
BTW, system specs are important to peeps... I constantly upgrade my machine, but after playing AOC I realized that I can upgrade all I want, MMO without people is just another Single Player with a subscription attached. |

Alrighty, if you want hard mode play a free-2-play chinese mmo... WoW has a growing incline of subscribers... Why? Because they did these steps to making it that way. I. Death happens, like real life, noone wants to think about it and money can cover anything up. II. Nobody likes fighting mobs that can outthink them, just how it is, it sucks when a monster from the black lagoon can outwit you in a game of cat and mouse.. III. Quests are fun and all, but End Game is something most people look towards... Screw the middle ground, plenty of games get that wrong... (AOC, Tabula Rasa, CoX).. People want more WoW, and if you want to be on a MMO with a huge player base, WoW or similars will have the most... Just how it is, I've learn to deal with this as I've been through every $^()# MMO out there.

Woot, that's kewl, I would hate to have the same problems as PVP in AOC... I like my "You're not like me, I hate anyone who can't understand me, faction pvp relationships". Sorta makes me want to kill more. :P |

Tabula Rasa was a fluke for NCsoft.. IMO, Richard G. was too involved in Space Flight to keep his Tabula going right.. So it's not NCsoft's fault.. City of Heroes was still a legend in it's time.. As for GuildWars, never played it much, own it, just lost interest.. (ADD+MMO's=Jumping a must..) Aion looks great, but I saw a video for a new game by NCSoft, Blade & Soul, which looked so unbelievable... Go NCSoft. :P |

It's a valid statement, and I can see how someone could still think Warhammer graphics sucked. I personally left WoW a year and some ago.. Played AOC for a month or so... Seemingly been through a lot of MMO's, including Tabula Rasa (Don't try that one).. Seeing games like Blade & Soul coming out of the woodwork, yes, this game can't hold a candle to it... But I didn't pre-order this game for that and I'm sure 99% of the rest of Warhammer customers didn't either. It's all about GamePlay.
I would have taken this gentlemen's statements more seriously had he stated lack of End Game content, but seeing how that's not so (Shorter level cap, broadened End Game), I'm comfortable this is gonna give WoW a run for it's money.. As for people flaming, let them, they're gonna be either complaining because it doesn't look like Crysis, or it doesn't have Gnomes running around. Opinions are opinions and I think as a newly found Warhammer Online community, we should offer a more enlightened view to people like them.. We know you say it's graphics, but obviously you just hate PVP, so go play Hello Kitty and leave the forums alone. |

After two days of switching from a 32-bit Vista to a 64 Bit Vista (Thanks to ATI for crappy drivers on my 3870x2) Then going to a 64-bit XP and back to my Vista 64bit... I have concluded that Vista does run AOC for my setup at 10FPS faster. The 32Bit causes memory leaks and crashs from the client (3GB limit). The 64Bit Vista is recommended if you Video Card loves you and has perfect drivers.
AMD Phenom QuadCore 3600. 5gb DDR2 6400 ram. OS-10k RPM Sata 150gb. Games- 10k RPM sata 150gb. One 1gb ATI 3870x2 (Using xp64 drivers) Creative Audigy 2. Vista 64Bit

I played the PVPBeta on my AMD Athlon 64x2 Vista 32Bit 3GB DDR2 Ati 3870x2 (BTW, that's the model, not two 3870's.) @1680x1050.
I ran smoothly with most of the settings, (All but Sound Hardware, got a crappy AudigySE card), Maxed. Smoothly at 40-60FPS. 40 being populated areas, 60 in standard PVP.. So, doesn't have to be the best, just something to run the latest DX10 shaders... |

Alrighty, well I hope you guys are correct on this. I don't mind Paying for a Game, as long as it'll at least compare to EQ2/CoV-COH & WoW in playability for more than a month. :P I'll keep checking up on it, fingers crossed. Just hate to see something like War be underachieved in developing. Specially since the Artist and Creator had much envisioned for this game. |

No, I'm not an AoC fanboy, or any other at that matter. I've just spent a good amount of time playing every single MMO because of lack of end content. I've been hoping WAR to be awesome, I loved the concept art and figured it would be good to go as it had a good following. I'm not in the beta, nor have I played it but from their screenshots and the entire class builds, I'm finding less joy of playing this on my computer (Yes, real MMO'ers actually keep up with their computers, just because well they don't play consoles. :P) So when I look at my computer and knowingly find myself shuttering at the flaws in detail (Not from artistic deployment, but in actual EA scrap together and shove it out there style), I can only hope to the Gods of the MMO World that Chronicles is gonna be decent..
As for that, I have played AOC beta and seeing how I was burnt on TabulaRasa, I'll be waiting a bit before I even think on diving in... Perhaps a trial or something. |
