Hopefully I'll get a chance with beta to see if it is worth playing or not just to make sure I do not waste any money. Hermann Peterscheck doesn't inspire much confidence either nor a stroke of genius that you usually see in a new revolutionary production, all of his interviews are banal and so ridiculously scripted. Let's just hope the rest of the NetDevil team can pull this off.

Lord of the Rings Online: A Look at the Looks of LotRO
News Discussion « General Discussion 5/08/09 10:58:33 AM
Originally posted by Alcuin You are more than right relating to the animation of the characters and the lack of persona they have. MMOs generally put everything in a “cycle” so your walk just repeats itself once the legs go through a complete turn. This usually makes everything very monotonous especially when you only have one style of walking and a possibility to jump every now and then. The facial animation and the other emotion tabs give some choice yet nothing that would differentiate one player from another that much. I would love it if the game had a simplistic animation tool in which you could create your own moods and emotions and be able to run them in-game. It wouldn’t be any harder than making music sheets for instruments.

Lord of the Rings Online: Playing the Auction House - How to Sell

Crafters don't want to buyout 5 stacks of 10 they want them 50 at a time, not to mention it's a pain in the ass going through 10 pages of overpriced small stacks to look for decent 50 stacks. I NEVER buy anything less than a full stack of crafting material.
It very much depends on who you are appealing to. There have been many cases where I just needed a few materials in order to complete a recipe and pass a quest or just simply for making an item. I would say the market is pretty split concerning the demand of maximum amounts in any sort of ingredient. |

Going head to head with Eve online?
General Discussion « Jumpgate Evolution 11/19/08 10:39:31 PM
I am really curious to see how skills will be managed. I can say Eve was fun however waiting so long for your skills to be completed, especially if you gave the game a break became rather fustrating and much of a hassle. I had to wait for weeks on end to be able to do what I wanted and that seems to be unfair for people who are willing to put more game time than others. |

WAR is lacking in the gear department..
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 11/16/08 9:34:38 PM
Same here with you, WAR can not come even come close to matching the armory of WOW. The armor and weapon classes are very poorly distributed for the measly 40 levels you are given to waste. |

WAR has been a huge disappointment so far and I am glad I already managed to give away the pre-order copy of the game to someone who might actually enjoy it. Besides the very amateur set up of the servers and gameplay EA Mythic can not even sort their customers right. Simply embarrassing... |

What is there to win in PVP/RVR? Something in the concept gone utterly wrong?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 9/13/08 12:49:05 PM
In a way it is very unsatisfying but I trust EA mythic to add more complexity as the game evolves more and more. So far the engine itself has potential and can be further made better as we play along. Lets remember WAR is the first to introduce experience gain while PVP in battlegrounds. There is a gain already. |

Looking for something similar to WOW
Role Playing Discussion « General Discussion 6/18/07 5:04:09 AM
I tried LOTR Online but it just couldn't pull it all together. The item variety is very small, you can't see a damn thing during night time and the quests leave a lot to be desired of.

is there a racing online games that's for free?
Role Playing Discussion « General Discussion 6/18/07 5:01:07 AM
You could definetly try Toca Race Driver 3. It has a feature for the Clio cup where you can, in time, upgrade certain parts of the car and be faster on the track. I loved it, its great fun.
