The game doesn't  have any developers, it has gone through couple owners and now its free to play but its a big money sink, the only way to be strong in this game is to spend $$$ in their item shop, the items aren't cheap so unless you have lots of money i wouldn't bother with this game.

The graphics are dated big time and there is a lot of bugs in this game, without a developer to fix them or to add new content thisgame is stuck in time.

This game has some balancing issues and clan HQ's that aren't balanced, players can use AOE attacks and hit player inside their vault.

IF this game was redone with a newer engine and had developers that would listen to its player base it would be bigger but i don't see that happening.

oh lol...major criticism. You make it sound so bad, i'm gonna try it then

After playing flyff for 30 minutess, i made up my mind that it was not suitable for my age. Look at the graphics, the players and monsters. They are all geared towards being appealing to the eyes for young children. What do you guys/gals think?

Played it for two minutes before I felt my sanity slipping and uninstalled it, it was a close call I can tell you...phew!

Definitely for kids!

XD nice one

i havn't really got to the flying part...but doesn't sound interesting to me...=.=

Yeah, I played the game way back last year when it first came out for Open Beta. It was like May 3rd or something. I really liked it and thought that it was quite fun, but I never got very into it. Since it's been over a year now I'm coming back to see all the improvements and possibly get back into it. Hopefully it will be ask good as I remember.

i found it quite fun, but lost my interest after a few days...

I thought flyff was okay. I quit because of the graphics, not because I thought they were too kiddy, but because it made my computer lag an insane amount.

So I quit

What an interesting and unique opinion ^^ what would you consider kiddy graphics?

ive been talking to one of my friends that is a gm on maplestory and said how cool is it to be a gm?he said it is not all cool as u think it would be. and thats why gms never go on enymore. i have looked up to gms and thought oh well they get free nx and stuff and get to do enything they want. RONG i tried my friends gm acc and all it is was i had a gm sign on my head 200k mesos -_- and u just have a notice sign for notices and whenh u right click a on person u can press ban.

when i went to cash shop i had no nx and looked just like a normal acc so think twice on wanting to be come a gm

one more thing u have to be over 16 years old and live in cali

Are you fucking kidding me? Do you honestly think your friend would just share his GM account with his friends? Maybe he would if he would want to get banned. >_>

You're obviously lying.

I don't know if i agree with you or not...

Sure summoning may be useful, maybe rewarding at a higher level, but !! they forgot  to make it fun and enjoyable.

From the most recent updates it seems as if jagex was trying get children to play rs, but maybe they think that if a child starts playing then their parents will also start... well, they are wrong! It is more likely that when the parent starts playing then the child will also play, and then both the parent and the child will pay for a membership while when a child starts playing, then the parents thinks it is some stupid kid game, and that their child will get over it soon so there is no need to pay for membership... I give jagex about a year before they go bancrupt... you can already see that they are working on onther projects like mechscape of funorb for extra profits.

jagex pretty much screwed up by introducing updates targeted to little kids..

k thx. looks like i won't get it after all.

I don't agree with the updates I enjoyed Runescape alot more before but I can see their reasons for doing it.. It has saved Runescape and because of these updates we still have a good game that we can enjoy. However I think Runescape blatently know they have done wrong and are oblivious to our efforts to help such as posts on the forums on how to stamp out RWT but to bring back to wilderness so I am 50/50 about the update. I just wish Jagex would listen.

Well, i for one, do not see the reason for the updates. every MMORPG has some form of real world trading, you can't expect runescape to be any different.

I'm not one to judge a game solely on graphics. The graphics aren't what ruined runescape. When I first started playing runescape I thought the graphics were pretty good. Nowadays I think most people would say they are subpar when compared to games like Guildwars, WoW, and Everquest.

But there is a lot more to a game then graphincs. In runescape's case the recent updates are what ruined the game for me and other many other players. The recent updates sent a strong message to the players. It basically was like a slap in the face to all the pkers, merchanters, and other honest players. I understand Jagex made the updates to help the players, but in my opinion they were made them just to help themselves. They really don't give a crap of what any players think. They delete any thread on their forums questioning their descions and they have removed the " Comment on Our Service" link on their website.

This is simply sendinhg the message to us players, that they really don't care about what we think or say. This is why runescape sucks now. They are catering to 9-10 year olds with the stupid Reporting Academy and their horrible updates. The community is also starting to get more and more immature. I'm tired of their silly half-baked updates. They really don't put any thought into any of their new quests anymore, it seems like they're just making more quests to keep people from keeping their quest capes for too long.

They also ban tons of people for no reason. My freind got perm muted for typing in a few question marks. Honestly it's silly. Not to mention the hundreds of bugs in the game and the horrible lag. The bad graphincs just add to all this. Their so-called graphics improvement isn't really much of an improvement. What they really need to do is fix the character's graphics on the game and give them actaully faces. Summoning also sucks. It costs way too much to train and the familars don't even really help you that much. It's just not worth it.

BRAVO! well said!

Yeah . jagex's updates have been geared towards 9-10 year old kids....they whine and jagex pacifies them by putting in updates they would like...

I've played this game since beta. It isn't the best, but it has gotten better with time, and next patch brings a boatload of new features (that undoubtedly should have been available upon release, but better late than never). A few pointers:

The game isn't for everyone. The way that it is set up will bring in many Diablo 2 players, but the actual playstyle will turn many of those players away.

It is a horrible shitty MMO. Think of it as Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, on crack, with multiplayer capabilities.

Try it first. I believe there is a demo floating around online, but if you don't want to download, try a friends version (if they have it). Or you can put down $30 and pick one up. At most you'll lose 30. (Mind you, the demo is extremely old)

The game gets exponentially more enjoyable with each friend you're with. SO get your friends to play =P

On the main story -> someone above me posted that they completed the single player storymode (which is the same as multiplayer) within one sitting... and that is possible to do. However, the main story takes your character from level 1 to 30, (the cap is 50), and I played 18 hours in one sitting and got to 20. This was my fourth time getting to 20. Kinda makes me skeptical.

The main story sucks.

Thats about it. Basically, try it first.

I'll try to ask my friends if they have a copy, if not most probably i'll go download a demo. i'm not going to buy a game i won't like..=.=

i hate torrents...take waaaay too long
