Yep, cleaaarrrly gm's fault. I just can't see anything wrong at all... none at all.

Are you really here to just harrass me?

You are the one that mentioned getting banned in a post titled "Any Useful Open betas?"...

What did you expect by stating the ban? I have played WoW on and off since closed beta and have never been banned....

Sooo, what do expect? No one is trying to harass you.

GM's don't Ban players for fun.

There is always a good reason as seen in many posts on this site.

Buck up and be honest....

What is this post really about?

Another post with a feeble intent to get others wound up for no reason.

What is the purpose? If you don't care for the graphics of a particular MMO...don't play it ffs

The population and number of subscribers declares it's validity.

I'm going to agree with Forcan.

People are responsible for their actions. If you can't play a video/MMO without getting 'addicted', imagine what

else you can be over come by...Drugs, Booze, Sex, picking your nose...whatever.

Take some personal responsibility no matter what it is in life or you will always find 'addiction'.

WORK?  I'm pay to have fun, not "work".

As for the "New players have no one.. dude, I ignore the newbies... who actually goes and groups with them?

I have even attempted to get groups going, WC, RFC, RFK...   nothing.

Of course, this isn't a shock, the reaction, WoW's world famous community shines when someone suggests making things more fun taking away their precious "work"

Maybe you just suck if you can't get a group together, don't blame the "community"...

You can always leave the game...no need to whine and complain here because it won't do anything for your game experience. Maybe you just need to brish up on some "people skills"...

I don't have to play MMOs to laugh at people.  There is more than enough opportunities right here.

No one is 'forced' to go to EBAY or the like...it's a choice each individual makes.

Thinking otherwise is another example of today's "self entitlement" social morals that have developed in the last couple of decades.

In Real Life, let's imagine you do not GAMBLE in any way, a moral issue as you put it.

Your wife buys a lottery ticket now and then, doesn't really bother you much she has her own values.

She give you 5 Easy Pick lotto tickets for your birthday or Fathers Day or something like that...

One of the tickets hit the Jackpot for, oh maybe 500K or even 10M, doesn't matter as long as it's a substantial figure in your perspective.

Would you apply the SAME Morality issues to this situation that you do with the Plat?

Playing a game of chance where you have no way of affecting the outcome is quite different then going out and buying items/gold from people who break the rules.  You can't walk into your local 7/11 and say I'm going to buy this ticket and I'm going to pick the numbers that are guaranteed to win.  You can however go out and pay $29.99 for a stack of platinum in EQ.

As stated above, my intention was only to give OP a different perspective. You also are reading too much into it...

Done with this one, OP has resolved his issue

His wife buying a lotto ticket doesn't negatively affect the economy.

That's a matter of opinion and you are entitled to that

You know exactly what the practice does to an economy. Choosing to lable those effects as acceptable collatoral damage because of the personal benefits you receive does not negate the facts.

Chill out....

My post did not support anything one way or the other. Only attempted to assist to OP to make his own decision.

OP, do you have ANY experience in Corporate business?

There are many layers of people working a project like this. The "top brass" are the ones calling the shots.

The developers are doing their job while others make changes for whatever reason they choose.

Have you ever worked in an IT environment in any capacity? $hit happens, ALL the time...

Anything can go wrong during the development from hardware failure to software programming that takes time to identify and resolve.

You can be T'd Off for whatever you choose but the folks making MMOs are busting their humps to get it completed and working the way it's supposed to. For YOU!

OP, you would probably Bash them the same way if it was released unfinished with issues.

But in the end you can feel the way you choose....I wouldn't want your perspective on life....GL!

You answered it with your Vote choice....

"Age of Conan will be a solid, great game..

for those that like it's gameplay and hardcore elements of mmo games."

You get what you EXPECT.

Some have realistic expectations while others will be let down by their irrational or negative perspective.

Last but not least...why does it HAVE to be compared to WoW?

Such a positive perspective to start the New Year....

This is a NICE screen shot.

AO is full of Christmas quests.

You don't know much about Pigs though.

They are smarter than the vast majority of animals.

Put in an enclosed area they all dump in one corner to keep things orderly....
