It's your decision really....at this point I don't see how you could affect the economy one way or the other it's already Borked...

It will just be a matter of time if you give it all away and you are sitting around twiddeling your thumbs and say: "Gee if I wouldn't have given it all away (or sold it) I could re-activate the account but....."

Have Fun!

Huntn makes a valid point...

"if the classes are balanced it should boil down to player talent"

Even with class inbalance, player style has a lot to do with dieing or NOT.

The original post info may be 'old' but I can relate 'current' things I have seen and heard.

Been in my guild for almost a year now. I discovered thru Guild Chat that the founders are gay. At first it wasn't bad as Guild Chat usually flows constantly and I don't pay much attention to it.  Specifically it jumped in my face with a conversation between several players telling stories about partners, straight and gay escalated over several minutes to what I considered excessive because people where starting to relate more graphic specifics as the conversation continued. Kind of a top this type affair between a straihgt and a gay member (both had clearly declared their preference). I just said, "People, this conversation should be done in Private Chat and not in Guild open chat." Nuf said, they agreed. It crops up briefly now and again. Let it be known, my request was NOT againt any of the story tellers straight or gay. It's just not appropriate in Guild OR Open chat. You never know who is listening.

Also, I can verify that with in the past 2-3 weeks there have been posts in General and Shout/Yell chat advertising new guilds starting which is somewhat normal and uaually someone states they need to use the available channels to advertise not general chat.  However, 2 recruiting guilds continued for several days to state they are gay guilds looking for members, one requiring new members to be gay and they other it didn't matter they just wanted folks to know it was a gay based guild.....

So, after reading 'most' of the posts here. I don't think WoW was wrong and I don't think this type of in game conversation is appropriate. To be clear, regardless if it references sexual preference, pot smoking or any other drug usage and/or political/religeous concepts should not be used in any 'game'. There is an obvious reason why Private or Party Chat is provided in game.

WoW belongs to Blizzard and they have the Right to run their business as they choose just like any other.

Not a thing actually

I dont know if i can believe that. And if its true , your marketing manager is doing something wrong , and should investigate this.
It is advertisement of a product , and your site will lose customers if they notice you put some of adds for free...

But again , i dont think it was the case.

Which brings me to the following:

Advertising is way your site works. You must keep the site profitable and your stuff must bring paycheck home at end of the month.
Thats clear.

But pushing advertisement in form of sticky forum post is unethical and misleading. You might get some clicks for it but eventually it will start working against you , because you will lose thrust of your customers.

I recommend you unsticky this, or note it is an add.

It will work better this way

You're and Elite member...gratz!

Why should you care so much?

Do you have a potential piece of the action in this post?

You make no sense unless there is more to your demands.

Just an observation

Scanned thru the 10 pages here and it appears the OP was satisfied with the following....on page 5

OP....why do you group?   Why would someone pay a monthly fee to socialize in a freekin' game.  Are you that lame that you would pay a gaming company a monthly fee to find friends for you?

Geez...if I want to socialize I'll go clubbing or something...if I want to play a game I'll do that.  I don't need "forced" friendships from a game for that....thank you very much.

Want to see how much skill you really have in a game...try to solo it.  Anyone can stand around whacking a mob while getting steady heals from a group member....try completing the same quest and killing the same mob solo...that takes skill.

OP posted one last time after the above post......thank goodness....everyone have a nice day.....

I'll be soloing for the most part for all the reasons given in this unusual saga

If EvE support could not resolve then yes, you will have to do go the RE-Install route.......

First tho you should uninstall EvE completely. After uninstalling make sure ALL the files and folders are gone.

If you have ANY system tools use them most are reasonablly priced and some are free.

Couple of examples -

Window Washer http://www.webroot.com/consumer/products/windowwasher/?rc=4929&ac=5190515&keyword=window%2520washer&source=google

RegCure http://www.regcure.com/lp/11/?uid=astbr

Then reboot and do a defrag before re-download/install....

Just another opinion: WoW amd Eve are 2 totally different styles. I've played both. There is always something to do in WoW for your character to 'gain'. For me, EvE was very boring. As stated above, lvlining is very slow and the missions gave me no real sense of accomplishement for the time invested. The graphics are nice. I have Screen Savers that do the same for me.

Just don't see the attraction to EvE but then as I stated above, "Just another opinion"......Try it to be sure

In the end you do absolutely nothing but max out your character's gear through repeatedly grinding instanced PvP battlegrounds, increaseing faction reputations through grinding, and grinding raid dungeons. After you max out your toon, you can start an alt because...there's nothing else to do...no war to fight...no territory to defend...no cities to build or destroy.  In the end you can show off your gear with the "1337 doodz" in a beauty contest.

YOUR perspective.......you're entitled to that.........

From what you state you obviousely have not learned/explored all that there is to WoW.

Move on now that you have vented your ignorant frustration.

Well think what you will but be informed.....

As mentioned above COH/V is a VENDOR supplied/stocked item.

Just becasue WalMart is listed "official" has nothing to do if something is "in stock" or "NOT",,,

VENDOR stocked items are totally dependaent on the VENDOR!!

Never played that Uo but you might try contacting Customer Service. The games I have played can usually restore a deleted character.

Just a thought, Good Luck

Make a statement back it up...or at least support it.

Anyone can say, "You Suck" or "that Sucks"....Yeah, your Point?

With no explanation why, it's Lame.

Starting a thread the way you did, making a statement with no explanation...

What Sucks in your opinion? I surely can't tell by your post. Do you even know? Probably not.

You Suck!

Hecklers are Shadow Lands Mobs. You are obvioudley one of the new breeds in AO known as SL n00bs.

Power lvl to 100 or higher with no concept of what your character is about or how to play it!

You are misleading folks with your ignorance and lack of understanding the game.

If you go to the MMORPG.com Home Page (click on "HOME" button on top left corner, right below the MMORPG.COM logo in the very Top Left corner, it will take you to the MMORPG.COM Home Page.

Now look over on the Top RIGHT coner of this page and you should see a GREEN strip with "YOUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS". Click on that and it will take you to YOUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS. Scroll down and you SHOULD find an inout Box called "Signature".

If you still have issues setting up your 'Sig', you might try the F.A.Q button on the Home Page for MMORPG.COM(see instructions above how to navigate there) Click on the F.A.Q. button and start reading through it (I did not go there as I don't have any questions atm).

If after that you still cannot get your Sig to work maybe your 'Friend' can leand some advice.

On original Topic, there are games that have somewhat MOB mentality doing things other than just standing around. There are games that allow you to build structures, grow crops and even defend yourself and Co. against MOBS.

To the rest of the the OFF Topic responses,  what point are you attempting to contribute?
