Chill dude and realize, from YOUR experience, that things don't always pan out the way it's planned.

Suck it up and learn from the mistakes.

As others have replied, this type of thing is typical in the MMO arena.

Blizzard has always been more than willing to compensate for the down time.

If something like this gets your feathers all ruffled maybe you should re-evaluate your priorities.

Most of your questions should be addressed there. Was always a good source for me.

MMOs are "games",  and games have basic incentive that are not necessarily based in RL...

No one is buying that off China and China doesn't want to make a loss on it anymore than anyone else who isn't buying dollars off China at the moment does.

It's basic economics. Buy low, sell high, not buy high sell low.

 

If Korea and Kuwait want to sell their dollars and China doesn't want to buy them, they won't be selling theirs either. No one else has that kind of money at the moment  and if they did they wouldn't be looking to buy dollars any more than anyone else, they would be looking to sell them too.

China is stuffed. It can't cash out of your economy. It can lend you more and hope that you recover, but it can't get it's money back. As much as they would like to. There is no such option available to them.

America is an investment blackhole.

Well put, that’s pretty much the way I see it also. It doesn’t make sense to me to play MMOs with ANY toon as Myself. There are some that play from that perspective and that’s fine, whatever works.

Very true, I ignore any ‘come on hits’. If they keep pestering me I just tell them to go away or I’ll Report them and that works well.

It's sad that our real-life gender expectations play over into the game, but I guess many people can't separate themselves from the reality they know.

Not sure what you are driving here, but there are some players who have not reached the point of knowing and accepting who they are or how to properly relate with others, Male or Female.

It's usually easy to spot a guy playing a girl character many times though. They're way too inviting and have no self-respect for their character's body/appearance. Men seem not to be able to disengage themselves from their own libido.

Younger guys (teens to be specific but it can continue well beyond 20) are the majority. A female toon sporting MAX cup size, running around naked with a large SWORD are dead give a ways for example.

I don't know many girls who play guys. A few do, but they don't appear to find it as enjoyable as playing someone they wish to be…

I think you would be surprised the percentage of female gamers that play male toons. I didn’t realize until using Vent. and other voice chat.

both video character using two handed weapon. look carefully. disregard skill. look only default normal attack swing. the first video oviously showing delay and idle  of each swing during attacking progress while the second video show no idle at all.... arms keep on moving and swinging.

It's give and take you can't have both.

If  you like fast steady attack it takes longer

If you like quick kill fewer strikes with more punch.

Not sure what it is you are really looking for in a MMO

I agree with you to an extent. Yes there are players that will never "learn" how to play their character. On the other hand, there are players that can play their position above average and of course the elite that know ALL there is to know and play beyond superb.

TS and Vent have helped me be more effective as a Team player. I learn how the team as a whole functions  using these tools. It allows me to be more effective specifically when I am not teamed with others I am familiar like in a PUG. I am able to observer the team and realize who the strong and weak players are.

TS/Vent is most effective in a good guild where the members are familiar with the rest of the team. After just a few groupings with the same members very little verbal communication is needed. We stop for a moment and size up the each encounter. Everyone knows what is expected from the other members.

I can do without TS/Vent but from my experience it has made me a better overall player, not made me Dumb.

That cannot be said for ALL players.

As an example...........Leroy Jenkins..........comes to mind.

Very interesting post...even more interesting with the majority of replies. The video is obviously stating that WAR is different then WOW.  WAR offers a different perspective to some or many...only time will tell.

But once again, we get the feedback from both ends of the spectrum bashing each other with less than all the facts yet to be discovered. Again the video is obviously saying WOW a great game but we think we have discovered a way to attract a different kind of player. Someone more "smash mouth" or just something a bit more gritty than WOW.  Come try it you just may like it .....

Why must there always be a reason to bash one way or the other. WOW has shown it is attractive to many. WAR will more than likely find it's audience in time if it offers what is implied. It's too early for anyone to claim "we're better than you tactics". Great things have co-existed and will continue to do so.
