It's not deep, its not the most compettitive or anything like that. But its as fun as it gets ! One of the best shooters i ever played, very interesting with varied elements through out the match. Very refreshing and with triple A polish quality !!!! Battlefield 4 devs should learn to polish a game with Respawn's.

The graphics are good enough for a Multiplayer game, the scenary is very well made and stunning in some maps... with creatures flying, ships exploding and etc. The AI (Grunts) gives a sense of bigger scale in the match also makes your running towards an objective or hunting pilots (players) more interesting since you can kill them for points and faster titan respawn.

The titan gameplay is very good and balanced, they are not overpowered yet they are powerfull enough.

This game deserves the praise it gets !

I've no personal feelings on this game, since I'm passed my liking for MP-only shooters. But damn, the only thing I could think of when reading your post is the damn doge meme.

Maybe we should try talking in Portuguese then.... if you rather have me writing without mistakes and such. But i guess you wouldn't understand much, would you ,smart guy ?

Wildstar devs must be happy.

I'm sad.... another great franchise ruined in the mmo genre.

FFXIV ARR

The game has some serious issues, maybe they will sort it out but i don't think so. Movement is clunky and interaction with the world is very odd.

The game is good though, will be better after some time.

Don't buy it right now, its not worth it. Wait for it to be at least in beta or close to release. I regret buying it so early.

a youtube video that i agree with > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2xwEYo3aF4

bored people are boring, thats why so many threads like this shows up.

The game is fun and pretty, has a strong ip, dedicated fans and dedicated developers. If it really goes about dying it would be a shame... it's the best mmo that came out in a long time, imo, of course.

They still can go the F2P route before closing, i don't see FFXIV going down in a near future.

You are being dramatic.

FFXIV ARR

Its been a long time since i enjoyed playing a mmo, looking foward to the new content and features.

What's your goal?  I'm trying to get feedback from ffxiv players.  I'm not here to discuss nothing else. You haven't answered my question yet.  If you want to talk about ffxiv and the worth of its subscription I'll talk, your other points are useless to me. I don't care to discuss about them.  Please, don't change the subject of this thread, go make your drama somewhere else.
I'm not making drama. I also answered your question right in my first response, second paragraph. You stated that you didn't find the game worth paying a sub, and I basically said, in not as few words, "Fair enough. You didn't find it worth a sub. Others do. It's not a big deal". If you didn't find the game worth the sub for you, then it's not worth a sub for you. So, in fact, I did answer your question.  As for the WoW thing. Look, you chose to use that game as an example to establish the basis of your post. I was responding to what your misuse of it as an example. If it was relevant enough for you to cite as an example to establish your question/post, then it's relevant enough for me to address it as such. You can't have it both ways. If you don't want to be called out on factually wrong assertions in the future, then I advise choosing  your words and examples more carefully and avoid making them.
I used as an example and i think my example is true. If you don't agree, fine. Go read about wow sub numbers in the past years and think about it.

I don't have to proove every example i make, you have the right to disagree or proove me wrong. I don't care, my goal here is not to discuss about those topics. How long will it take for you to get that ?

I think basically you laid the foundation for your argument about justifying a sub by citing that WoW is having a hard time. The tangent said, "Well, actually WoW is still doing way better than everything still, so your point doesn't really make sense". Then you basically said, "I'm not talking about WoW!"... but you kind of are since you used it as crux of your entire point.

Perhaps in the future, if you want to talk about a specific game and ONLY that specific game, dont mention other games in your original post. Otherwise, this scenario will most likely happen.

Thanks for the consulting.

I'm not looking for universal answer, mate. I want the subjective opinion from the players. I'm not interested in the general consensus or if the game will die or thrive. I just wanted to read about individuals opinions and feels about the game they are playing or the game they stoped playing.

yeah but...why?

to read people opinion and discuss about it.

As ALWAYS op,it does not and should never depend on the sub fee or not,it should depend on the quality of game and if it what you are looking for.

GW2 nor LOTRO do not come even close to this game for overall quality, but that does not mean it is YOUR game.If you are seriously interested in a game, then do the homework,TONS of videos and articles to read on FFXIV.Nobody can tell you weather you will like a game or not,you have to make that decision yourself.

i do like the game. You missed the point. I've tried it for the 30 days from box sale. Also i paid 9 USD for it. I got a FFXIV 1.0 key on ebay. It was an great deal, very worth it.

The question is about the subscription worth... but it seems Square enix is on the right track. Mixed opinions around here about the worth of the game, but the majority seems to at least enjoyed their time while playing. Thats count for something.

@Vorch

Good analysis, i agree with you. There are lots of other alternatives for cheap gamming and even free gamming. Thats why i feel the subscription have to be justified by the company actions and by the game quality.

With $12,99 a month you can get some great humble bundle deals and some steam sales, games that could give you 10h+ of gameplay each.

But as you said as well, its a Final Fantasy product. Its a huge franchise with a powerful name, with distinct look and feel as well. Maybe this is the major value for its subscription.

Then you worded your original post very poorly.

Why do you say so ?

I ask honestly, maybe i failed to express myself. English ain't my first language afterall.

Questionable.

While I played the original FFXIV very briefly, I also partook in the beta for ARR. I've two ideas that I'll share.

(1) My personal view point. I found that the best feature the game had going for it, was its crafting system. It was on par with EQ2, and you really felt involved. The combat was boring, but the varying outfit designs were sometimes interesting albeit static in appearence. Other functions implemented were nice touches to an otherwise (what I felt) unpolished game. I hadn't been in the world more than a few minutes, and I realized I missed the artistic graphics of its original form, and fluid animation to boot. The Hunters Log added some flair to the typical grind, and I was at least happy to say that if you had to get a lizard heart, you need only kill one of them. So, long story short, for me?... nah.

(2) A friend of mine has been MMO hopping, and one recent venture took him to FFXIV ARR. For the first few weeks he was head over heels in love. Suffice to say, much of the grind and static flow became troubling to him, too. He joined a Company that was fairly active with a handful of folk he knew from previous titles, but he claimed it felt too repetitive and a tad linear.

Now, it depends on what you are looking for. A stable game to call home, something to appease your FF craving? This game is amazing in regards to the crafting system, I still love it and couldn't recommend it more highly, but I'm afraid the remainder is not so brightly lit.

What about Square Enix, Yoshi P, choices about the future of the game ? Are they planning and executing changes/updates properly ?

That is something worth of a subscription. I remember playing Darkfall and Mortal Online. Games with interesting ideas, very passionate developers but still they couldn't execute things properly.

The subscription worth its a mix of my personal opinion about the game and the company commitment to the game.

With quality games like GW2 and LOTRO without a subscription plan, its hard for games like WoW and FFXIV to justify their monthly cost.

No it isn't. It's quite simple. They require a monthly fee to subscribe to and play the game. You either decide you want to pay the fee and play it, or you don't.

And really... to say a MMO that still has more subscribers than most other MMOs combined playing it - even with a subscription, on top of box fees - is beyond absurd. WoW is having no problem, whatsoever, justifying its sub fee.

I've played my 30 days from the box sale but i haven't subbed.  I was enjoying the game, very much. But at the time  the sub was an expense i didn't want to commit to.

And that's your choice. Many others chose to sub and continue playing.  And that's pretty much the way it works with everything. I don't understand why people try to make some big issue of it when they don't find a game worth their sub money, like it has some kind of bigger implications.

Are you hurt ?

Not at all. Are you?

I was just offering a response to your post (kinda the point of message forums, after all).

I don't give a fuck about the numbers or anything else. Im not here to discuss if a game should or shouldn't have a subscription. I ain't talking about WoW either.

Wow. You're all over the place here.

You absolutely are asking if a game should have a sub. Right in the title of this thread, you're asking people if it's worth it. If it's worth it, then "yes it should". If not, then "no it shouldn't".

You "aint' talking about WoW"? Read your post again. You specifically cite WoW as an example of a MMO that's having "a hard time justifying a sub fee". If you "ain't talking about WoW", then why did you mention it specifically as an example of your statement?

As for the numbers, they absolutely matter. A game that maintains several million people paying a monthly sub fee to play is quite clearly not having a "hard time justifying" anything.

You don't get to dismiss data just because it's inconvenient to your position.

Im at the FFXIV forums and my question was very clear. Your point is useless in this discussion.

You're in the FFXIV forums and you specifically cited WoW in your opening statement.  Stop trying to backpedal and weasel out of it. You're only making yourself look worse and digging the hole even deeper.

I didn't sub when my first 30 days expired (bought the game at launch) but I subed a couple days ago. I felt the urge to play again, and with the new patch incoming I can see myself subing for, at least, one month more. I just enjoy leveling jobs and running instance, and I like the enviroment this game provides.

The enviroment is just good, i also like the western looks, the flashy skills and the heavy fantasy stuff.

But i'm concern about the sub value... if they are adding enough content and listenning to their player base. Thats key to ANY mmo, specially the ones with a monthly subscription.

with that being said and after some months past release. Do you guys think the game is worth its subscription ?! why ?

Everyone should look at Albion Online, its entering Alpha, it's a multiplataform MMO (including Android and IOS).

The brilliance is, shit matters in Albion world. They will have fullloot, siege mechanics (very interesting actually), item decay, constructions and some other interesting features.

The fact you'll be able to play this with a tablet amazes me. They seem to have great ideas, i encorage UO fans to take a look at it !
