I am a solo player and it's good to see that they continue to add things also for solo players and not just guilds. 

Great patch! The new mount is really cool. Here is a picture of it with armor added to it:

Lots and lots of really nice stuff incoming for both solo players and guilds. I can't wait! :)

They haven't added the texture yet. Guilds will be able to color code them and add guild symbols. I am sure they will be improved over the time.

The MAJORITY of the new stuff coming isn't even related to guilds at all, how did you get this whole guild conspiracy :s ?

Yes MO has content for guilded players because obviously that draws in a larger more sociable audience, you need to interact with players to do well in Mortal or have multiple accounts. The entire point of MMO's, playing with others.

 

 

That above = lip service

It is not what people want. They want their skills and abilities to be worhtwhile. Why all the focus on guild horses? Some people don't even bother with horse riding skill.. but opted for swimming, or something else comepltely. So why is Henrik (once again) focusing on things that is predominatly a guild's focus?

Diving for pearls? Wasn't thnat a book? Where are the pearls? Why focus on guild thingss, when there are no pearls for solo people to make an income off, diving for?

Because Henrik's focus is on the guilds. So many players have left because of this. And people talk, many in my EQ guild (over 400) were excited, but I told them to forget it. This game needs until next spring before it will have dungeons, content and single player interests. 

This is exactly what the player want ingame. But what do you know, you don't even play the game. Solo player and guilds wants more different creep to kill. It's good to see SV is about to add all this into the game. 

PS: Why do you always feel you need to write with large/bold letters? 

It's both PvP and PvE.  They have added things for both sides.

Well, actually just since one week ago, there are more people playing now. So right now, it's growing.

1. No desync at all. That was solved in the big convert. I can experience lag from time to time, but I got a 4 year old comp on medium gfx. But all MMO's can lag from time to time.

2. No problem to swing. As a newbie you will swing slower with low skill and bad weapon. But after an hour or two and if you buy a simple weapon you start swing much faster. When you shoot with a bow you need to consider wind and if it rains.

3. There is PvE content. Now in the coming 3 patches (one patch each week) SV focus on bug fixes and ... MORE different creatures. Several different types of humanoids and animals right now http://www.mortalwiki.org/wiki/Creatures (not a complete list thou), but many more will come now. Check here ... under development ... http://www.mortalonline.com/content/under-development what to expect the coming weeks. A rare spawned boss was added in the last patch. Rare spawned mounts.

There is a bug thou where some mobs look in wrong direction, SV is waiting on a fix here from Epic. But it's still playable.

4. Tame, Explore, visit dungeons and kill mobs, siege warfare (catapults and balistas), soon fishing, crafting, building bridges houses keeps, PvP, thieving, ranged combat, mounted combat (armor sadle), guilds arrange events, political system (you can vote on who will control the area if not dictatorship is set) and more ...

5. Lots and lots have been added the last patches and more to come in the coming as u can see in my link. MO gets improved lots in every patch imo.

There are some bugs as in all MMO's but it's very playable.

Right now I play like 5-10 hours a day, more than I have ever played MO (I have been playing for a year now).

I can just say ... wow! If they can deliver most of it, I would be impressed!

Same for me, I haven't had this fun in any MMO since I played EQ1 7-8 years ago. As you said, there are some bugs, but the game gets better every week. I have been playing MO for a year now. Today I play more than ever, like 5-10 hours a day.

Thats one of many reason why I really love MO. No handholding, no maps, no minimaps, no instances, etc ...like the old EQ1 days. Where real knowledge about a game, counts for something. You had to learn how to find around in the world. 

Being able to get lost was one of the danger.

There wont be a free beta within the coming months (my gess based on what SV have said like 3 weeks ago). 

The thing is, after the last two patches more people have started to play MO and I see more people everywhere now. 

The last patches have added lots of nice feats and content. Star Vault give us a patch once every week, so MO is right now developed in a fast pace. Devs knows what they are doing. They really add interesting solutions for their feats.

It's very interesting to see how guilds now starting to build keeps and planning for war and try to get more allied etc ...

There are some bugs in MO but it's very playable and is a totally different experience than anything else within the MMO market you have played. 

Well, I was just log in and there was many people in little Moh-Ki, many more than I have seen the last weeks. I see more people everywhere. It seams like many more play MO now.

I bet it's the last two patches that have made more people playing. Lots of nice feats have arrived lately. Every week SV patch in new feats and content and improvements. The game is improves pretty rapidly now. 

Pretty cool feats there. Nice base of the territory control system. I can already see war coming ...

Even thou there are some bugs to fix(because hey add stuff repidly), it's very playable and people have fun playing it

But every patch have made the game better and better. The last patch added lots of new stuff and also fix lots of things. This evening/night we will get another big patch, fixing more things and also add several new feats and stuff, like siege machines, tabards, boss mobs, etc ...

I play myself like 5-10 hours each day atm ... more than ever.

Agree. They have made lots of really good solutions. Tonight we will get a very interesting patch.

My guild which was small lost a tier 2 deed due to a horse bug, We got chased by red got away wold have...when we demounted to go across a river.. the deed holder crashed, the reds killed aloot , SV did nothinga bout any of these issues, then I found out later, they helped a bigger guild with teh saem issue and gave them the deed back because it was a bug , not because of the red killing us..

 

If it was because  of a red that would be as intended, but it was because of the bug that we lost 500gold... 2 months of boring farming. They left the game, now I lost over 200 gold from a bug in my bank,  Alot fo stuff that has been fixed but now important stuff like money is disapearing making the game unplayable, I have canceled my sub.

 

If SV gets there crap straight which I hope they do, I see MO being a great game, DFO, Fallen earth has alot of problems at the start and beta, both are great game that I love and supported, I will not support SV though , as they will not give items back for the bugs like DFO and FE did when they knew it was from bugs..

 

If SV wants to keep subs they will give people items money back from bugs, or they will lose us period.

I think you exaggerate it now. They fix much more than they break. So MO is definitely getting better and better. 

I rather want SV to fix more bugs and add more stuff than spending time figure out if anyone have lost an item. 

Well, I actually have lots of fun playing MO.  It's very playable imo. When OP list things like Keep is buged, ... it's like Keep can't be build at all, but thats not true. Several Keeps have been build in Nave and more is under construction. It's like saying Internet Explorer is buged ... then it's useless ... but that is not true either even is IE had a few bugs.

The last patch just didn't add lots of new nice stuff but also fixed lots of bugs. But there are still some bugs to fix.

But still, I play like 5-10 hours a day. After an hour offline I start getting that feeling that I want to log in again. It has certainly hooked me. 

After last patch I could increase gxf setting from low to medium and with medium shadows and still have same performance. So it's definitely getting much better in all areas. SV solve many more bugs than what are introduced. So it's going forward.

Next week we get a really interesting patch. 

I have been playing MO for a year now and I play more hours a day than I have ever done.

Desync? They have solved the desync problem. I haven't seen any desync at all since after the big code convert SV did to solve it. I am pretty sure that you confuse desync with lag. Lag is one thing (which has more to do with your IP provider/comp/distance)  ...

Lots of improvements regarding lag only since release, and after the last patch this week I could increase from lowest gfx setting (with low shadow) to medium gfx setting (with medium shadow )and still it runs at least as good as before, with my 3.5+ year old comp.

They have balanced up the spears the last two patches ... if that is not enought I am sure they will continue.

Really interesting stuff there. 

Star Vault sooner or later implement what they have said. Most of it anyway. I really love their solutions for different stuff. They really don't care about getting X million subscribers (doing a WoW copy), they go their own path inspiered by UO and do a game themself always wanted to hit the market. 

I really like the last patch, it was nice and already on Monday we get more stuff to play with. I am really looking forward to that. 

Right now I play more hours a day than I have ever done.
