[Interview] Shroud of the Avatar: Pulling Back the Curtain with Garriott
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 4/03/13 6:06:26 AM
Guess I am one of the few who appreciate the direction this game is taking. Also, why do people assume this is alpha footage? Guys and girls...this is PROTOTYPE video. The bare playable version of the game that is shown to give you an idea of how the maps are going to work together. Alpha comes out in December 2013. Between now and at time, a lot can change and that is not even saying just how much the game can evolve between alpha and beta and between beta and release.

oh so you unlocked all the skills you were ever going to use..and completely ignored trait building? That maybe the reason. Then again, you will still continue killing mobs no matter what. Just like in almost all mmos out there.

Wow just wow...Pirate101 won for GOTY...that is really disheartening. I wouldnt mind even seeing Planetside 2 or TSW winning but Pirate101? Sigh.. sad. Thank god GW2 won in innovative category though :D. |

4 months in. Are you still playing? If so, What are you doing now?
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 12/23/12 7:13:59 AM
Yep. Dungeons, dailies and gonna complete my first monthly soon. Still plan to get more involved into fractals as I only ever did it a couple of times and I need it for monthly. I have made quiet a few friends, so im still going strong and especially so now that the wintersday stuff are on.

Mortal Online: Now Free to Play

I loved the music in the trailer, but hated everything else I saw in it.

I voted yes because exotics are all that is needed to enjoy all lvl 80 content save maybe for higher level fractal runs which is really made for the hardcore players anyway :P.

Nah im here to stay for long time. Not one of those who care about getting the highest end gear. Besides, the fractal dungeons are fun in their own right. Players should just find a group of buddies and have fun together doing the dungeons instead of whining on and on about the grind and how there is now a more powerful tier than exotic. The fact is: there is NO grind if you are having fun. However, if you solely focus getting the best gear as soon as possible, well, that is where you get the hundreds of disappointed players and that is where the game begins to feel like a grind. Changing your mindset a bit and having a more positive outlook on things go a long way. |

wow never prepared to get flamed by my comment lolz. Should have put on a fire-proof jacket. All I was saying is if some event chain is broken, move onto doing something else in gw2 which is quiet a lot there. I just don't see the point in discussing a bugged event chain when there are countless of posts on official forums notyfing Anet of the problem and anet responding and letting us know it is aware of the issue. Besides, since it is causing delay for phase 2, one would expect the phase 1 to be extended. Which it did. Why not make a thread discussing the good and bad points so far in Lost Shores instead of summarizing that it is a mess just because of that broken event which Anet is quickly working on? Why not wait until the Lost Shore events have completed then give your thoughts about it? You see where I am coming from now? |
|
|
If a quest chain is broken, why not do something else until it is truly fixed? No use even posting about it. Common sense really. EDIT: besides the phase 1 will be extended due to this reason. |

I agree on all points in this article. The biggest thing for me is that there is pve content, the sense of progression thru unlocking skills and such and dynamic content. Definately gonna try out this game some time. |

Also looking at the trends of NcSoft games, expect WildStar to go B2P which is always a good thing in my book. |

"GW2 is in a tail spin" and "Huge success"
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 11/01/12 8:32:42 AM
There is a huge positive vibe in the game still esp during halloween events. Servers are going strong, my guild is going strong and all this doomsday naysayers couldn't be further from the truth. The truth being that the game is going strong. It will only get better with the huge november update and in the next coming weeks when Anet takes full throttle at bot destroying :). GW2 is still THE best themepark MMO out there and if the halloween events are any indication to what sort of content updates we can expect in the future, then GW2 will simply get better.

Do you stand by your score rating of GW2 ?
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 10/28/12 7:28:07 AM
I still stand by my 10. Then again, I am a casual player who is not about numbers, efficiency nor contemplating at the end goal of the game but instead, just having a great time meeting new people, hanging out with guildies and ultimately doing things that I have a blast with :). ....Like that clock tower that I spent a whole day on...<333 |
|
|
Oh god..that clock tower...I LOOOOOVVVEEEEEEED IT SOOOO MUCH! Yesterday I was doing it for the entire day. Laughed sooo much at my own failures and that of others. The best thing about it is it is extremely challenging yet sooooo fun just because it brings everyone together and acts like a race to the top. I made a few friends there too. Completed the tower 4 times yesterday. The window at the top kinda bugged out on me or maybe it was lag so the first 3 times I just fell when jumping into it. The last time I finally got the slippers which was like at 3am in the morning lolz. I just wish Anet will implement similar jumping puzzles around the world. That would be awesome :)
