Can you elaborate?  I swear you just reiterated what you said in your first paragrah, then turned around and said it again within a sentance. I guess you can just read my first response twice.

 WoW had world PvP. WoW's world PvP was plagued by problems such as server stability and realm population imbalance. Blizzard changed the focus of WoW's PvP from World PvP to instanced PvP where both stability and balance issues could be addressed.\

I'm baffled about this response and would like to speak a little on this. WoW's world PvP was not riddled with population imbalance or stability issue's. Considering CTD's happened everywhere in the game world I would relate the stability to overloaded servers.  I remember waiting hours in que's to get on Shadowmoon back in the day. 

Now I want to add this in.  Out the box and still today, you get nothing for killing another player in the realm of WoW.  The only way its possible for world PvP in WoW is to do it in a few select places in the outlands.  No meaning within Azeroth.

WAR on the other hand... It has reason and rewards behind it,  Mythic will have a ladder system on  their offical website like WoW use to have. Im not going to elaborate on this any further.  I believe there is enough WAR information here in the WAR forum, search is your friend.

Many people credit WoW BGs with the demise of WoW's world PvP.

Don't forget PVE.  The welfare epics being handed out... well that is another kettle of fish I'd rather not touch this here.

WAR will have population imbalances. WAR will likely have server stability issues and lag when large numbers of players gather (this is a hardware limitation, not a design limitation). WAR will have BGs.

First off, I will educate you. WAR won't have population imbalances, why? Mythic has a feature to help alieviate this. Mythic also knows what to expect for hardware launch. They will not under estimate this franchise launch and success.   They also have a successful (outdated) MMO under thier belts. Actually, WAR will not have BG's, they have Scenario's. Similar to WoW's 3, 4 year old BG's. WAR's are new and refreshing, WAAAGH!

Any bets that non-instanced RvR will win out over instanced BGs given players have access to both? Keep in mind that Blizzard did not ban world PvP in WoW. Blizzard only gave its players the option of stable, balanced PvP in BGs.

No. Once again they only put meaning into BG PvP and Arena PvP, world PvP in WoW offers little in the way of meaning or rewards.  It does on the other hand provide us with griefing. I guess that goes with the calibre of the players. Another reason I need out of WoW, I like tough competition, blizzcon PvP team... lol.

What do you do if your team is the underdog? Participate in uneven, laggy RvR where you are dominated or hang out in balanced, relatively lag-free BGs?

Does your computer suck? If not then WAR will run just fine on launch for you, lagfree.

If RvR is so great then why isn't DAoC doing better?

Mythic's DAoC is great and will never be forgotten. They are the MMO forefathers of designing and implementing rewarding and meaningful PvP. Protect yo' neck foo'. DAoC's graphics and engine is outdated nothing more.  If they do what they are thinking and redoing it, Mmmmm can we say APPLE PIE WITH A HOLE IN THE TOP!

I hope that WAR does well because competition is good for we players... but let's not lie to ourselves about its features.

So your saying WoW has a more robust PvP combat system? What matters in WoW is who gets the first opener. WoW greatly lacks skill but is a CC/Stunlock/Fear/gay fest.  This game has no CC or very, very little which makes the PvP far more epic in porportions to WoW.

4. No special things. There are no Warglaives in WAR. Nothing to strive for. In WAR, you are a cog in a machine.

You are very wrong, have you hit level 40 RR 80? Have you seen what the Epic endgame dungeons drop? Didn't think so, nuff time wasted on this question.

5. Unimaginative combat. You'll mostly spam your damage spell or spam your healing spell, nothing else to do.

The only thing going for WAR is the large scale combat. I'm waiting to see if the large scale combat is worth a subscrition to WAR. If large scale combat turns out to be a zerg fest with no strategy, just a bunch of people swarming around and the side with the most people wins, there won't be a reason to play WAR other than it's not WoW.

You need to know how to play in order to make the class shine.  Yes and over-powered class combined with a skilled gamer is what truely makes it epic. Put a non-skilled gamer behind the same OP class and he becomes a wet paper bag and makes the class look like crap. See ya' on the battlefield.

This is the role I play in games as well. I had no beef playing a Greenskin Shaman, the heals were potent at level 30 and I spec'd all healing.  Worked like a charm, I was a beast of a healer.

Contracted lackies should never be credited.  Also, this kind of stuff is normal and happens in every mmo created to date, nothing new to see here just another butt sore lowbie sooking.

Haha, they already got them two scabby companies put to shame. Mythic has already released a successful MMO. We know how they deal with fixes, patches, and new content.  It has shown in the past.  Mythic got their shat together and the game is close to flawless

Sorry there chief, but Fileplanet has been giving out beta's since Ultima Online with subscription fees as the underlying hook.  It's not mythic you should be hating on it's Fileplanet. Mythic simply sold or gave  them some Beta keys to disperse however they see fit. Yes Fileplanet is shady and always will be.  They like to make money off us.

All I am saying is that 10 years ago, I was playing beta's without getting pre-orders or subscribing to File-Planet. It's -NOT- the standard. It may have happened, yes, but it's not like it's been the standard of the genre forever. *sigh*

It's been the standard since the start, yes even "MORE" than 10 years ago.  Sure you can get lucky by signing up to the offical sites of the game providers, but some people like the 100% opt in instead of the random picking.  I still fail to see what your point is, both have existed this way since the begining.

MMORPG does it right.  Everytime they are given Beta keys they give them out for free unlike some of the other larger sites that are more money driven.
