AoC is dead.

Hold that thought.  Keeps you and others like you on stay away mode which is working as intended!

Everyone who has a clue has left.  Only the idiots that continue to think, "no, it will be fixed in THIS patch" stay.

I'm wiling to bet I am more successful in my life than you can dream to be.  Regardless of that, War just hit 750,000 registered accounts.

We'll see where that is in a month, however, we both know AoC will still be far, far below.  Enjoy your niche game -- you and the 10 other people.

Yet another thing that was brought up DURING BETA that should have been in release.

Funcom is a joke.  Warrhammer is kicking their ass and they don't know what to do.

Warhammer is kicking ass...

So many players

Are quite enamored

Because PvE rocks

And the game keeps peoples interest

Need more examples of how the 30 day placebo effect is going?

Kicking ass.

Please stay on topic...thanks

lol, a bunch of blogs from random losers.

So the OP is one of the 5 people who still play this game?

Are you saying AoC doesn't have instanced pvp / zones?

The only thing innovating about Conan were the graphics.  Everything else was rehashed.

If shiny things make you happy, AoC is for you.  If you want substance, look elsewhere.

I love how folks that more than likely either still live off their parents Income or Work at the local Gamestop can say Too little to late game over  like it will have any relevance over the future of this game.  last time I checked AO still had a healthy popoulation, AoC will be fine.

Too little, too late.

I don't live in my parent's basement nor do I work at Gamestop.

Who is whining?  I bought a product that said it would have certain types of content.  Upon installation, said content wasn't there.

Mr. Morrison may indeed have an excellent track record.  Sadly, though, what AoC could have been from the start will now probably reach fruition a year from now.  I've already moved on to an excellent game that I enjoy tremendously.  At this point in time, it would take a miracle for Funcom to ever get any of my money for any of their products.

Well, this is coming from someone who has become vehement in his hatred against Age of Conan, but this is some fresh air to me.

Ever since the game came out, the stuff I saw gradually got worse and worse, hell I remember reading about the Murderer system, which seemed completely out of place in Conan's lore. Yet now, it makes sense to me. I remember reading that it was just any player in general would get you points unless they were a criminal, and that when you become a murderer you are screwed unless your grind/wait. Now you are just forced outside of society. I dont know if that was planned before Gaute left, but oh well, I'm actually considering trying this game now lol

Edit: I do agree though, sadly this change was a little too late, four-five months seems too long to finally get the game on track. I may hate Funcom, but at least this guy seems smart though.

AoC could offer free money to people for signing back up -- it just isn't going to happen.  AoC is dead.

Too little, too late.

So you mean that AoC should go for a more Disney style in the art for it to be inspired and diverse ?

Hmm..They are all very well drawn and picturesque armor and even close to the lore of how I pitcure the armor in Conan lore.

And It's not even close to being the same.

Conan has by far the best looking gear in any game yet.

/junker

Best looking gear doesn't equal inspired.

A polished turd is still a polished turd.

Armor in AoC is not just handed over to you, you have to go out there to get it. Yes, vendor armor all looks the same, and the simple quest armor is not better, but if you want to look different you can. The better armor is there, you just need to find it, and I think its fortunate they didn't make it too easily available to everyone. But I do however agree that some more diversification for the "simple" armor would be more than welcome.

Here is a small sampling, there is much more ingame:

Look, different shades of brown.  Wait, a blue!

Come on, it's ALL THE SAME.  The only thing that changes is the length and/or the frilly crap.  Truly, truly uninspired.

Warhammer graphics are reflective of the lore.

And, really, if that is the only complaint about Warhammer...

Warhammer has content in all forms -- something AoC STILL lacks 4 months after release.

This is absolute nonsense (pardon me). R E. Howard lore is way bigger in content, age/history and fanbase than WARHammer, and this is certainly reflected in AoC's game content... No need to say anything more about that. Besides, I doubt you have tested new content after Patch 2.0... Since you post on AoC threads and obviously is interested in AoC, I would read up or test the new content before making new worldchanging statements.

Since you say WARHammer got content in all forms I would like to correct that a bit. I claim WARHAmmer do not have that rich combat content actually, due to its very limited oldschool combat system. The attacks are very repetetive (you can see that on any movie) and the animations horrible... Just look on a guy running for example, it looks like his shoe is flaoting on the ground as the character move.. This gave a terrible arcade feel to me...  Well what about combat in AoC then... For starters there are Fatalities .

1) Warhammer probably has 100 times the storyline of Conan.

2)  Aoc's content, imo, isn't there.  I'm not the only one who is saying this, either.

3) I haven't played AoC since the 2nd month of release.  It was uninspired to myself and if you look at the all people leaving, I wasn't the only one.  I'm happy they finally decided to release some patch.... too little too late.  No one is coming back.

4) You haven't played Warhammer.  That much is apparent.  Your opinion on Warhammer combat is garbage.  Furthermore, I don't see how you can refute pressing q,1,e,2 in AoC is any different than pressing 1,3,5,6 in Warhammer.  AoC has fatalities.  Yep.  They were cool.  I still prefer Warhammer's combat -- there is  vast amount of PVP in Warhammer.  I'm currently leveling just by PVP on a Bright Wizard.  No quests outside of RVR.  Can AoC do that?  No.

5) You're talking about graphics.  I've covered this.  Games Workshop's IP is just that.  I'm sorry you don't understand.

6) If there is anything else I haven't covered, figure it out for yourself.  AoC is garbage and that's why the servers are dead.

7) Oh, enjoy the brown armor -- all 80 levels of it.

A very bad game wrapped in pretty graphics.  It's like waking up for Christmas and unwrapping that really shiny gift only to find a rock.

I'm sorry, Erling but it is too little, too late.

ALL of that was promised AT launch.  You will never get those subscribers back after you horrific launch and subsequent "patching" since then.

Try used car sales -- you'll be better at it.
