You say you know about terris very well and that wikipedia doesn't say much truth about it. But you didn't sit down and correct those wikipedia pages with the right stuff and referencing your text did you? You just complained that noone has not already done it for you...
"The person who deletes it won’t care if the things you know are true, only whether you can verify them or not." So you just want to write in wikipedia whatever you want and claim that is true and everyone belive you, without any need for proof. Yea ofc thats a very nice way to make a completely useless encyclopedia. |

Looks like a good game but i really dont like all those anti-hack systems and the problems they create . Anyone that have this game installed knows which anti-hack system it uses or if it doesn't have one? |

A question about archetype/class abilities
General Discussion « Allods Online 11/09/09 12:09:41 PM
So what you are saying wowfan1996 is that because wow ripped off some spells from previous games then noone else can ripoff those spells because only wow has the right to ripoff. With your logic, wow as a fantasy game is a ripoff of previous fantasy games.... And same goes for Aion for example, its a complete ripoff of other fantasy games cause its a fantasy game also! Or action games with the gun in front of you, there are so many, i think they are all ripoffs of doom. Omg even adventure games, all of them have the same kind of riddles to solve, RIPOFF! Get some real facts fanboi you make yourself look stupid....
I wont comment teh fact that the only game you know and you can compare with is wow, that only gives you so much credibility,... rofl...
" So? How is your statement related to the obvious rip-off of all core class abilities that I described in detail? :-)" His staement is related to teh fact that wow ripped them off from other games, but that didn't mean a thing, so why bother with allods? Use your brain ffs, use it and stop asking stupid questions... But we all know the brain of the average wow nerd, so we excuse you..... |

Since many gpotato games use gameguard, does this one use it too? There is no way i put in my comp that rootkit with the name gameguard and the excuse to avoid hacks. I even doubt it avoids hacks ingame anyway... |

Originally posted by phrank Believe it or not i have no idea about darkfall :), it might as well be crap, or it might be a diamond. If and only they make trial i will play it cause i never buy games blindly. But tbh why im saying all these to you, you are just gonna reply with another same post, that you again realize how much of a darkfall fanboi i am. Poor little guy. :) You know what all you guys do here? :) You lose your life defending and flaming games so the companies can make money. Like they gonna give you part of those money... You are a free advertisement for them. Even the flame posts are advertisement for any game. Flaming draws people into the game. You phrank with your bumping of this thread, just to flame, probably gave darkfall's company another 20-50 customers.:)
Flaming is a false feel of power. :) And also defending the game is also a false feel of power. You think you do something but you dont. :) |

Im not playing nor i have any idea how this game is. I might try it when they release a trial. Im currently playing another mmorpg. But i cant dismiss the fact that the OP has indeed created this account for the sole purpose of flaming this game. So OP that doesn't look good when you try to "warn" people for not trying the game. I like reading those kind of posts cause through them you learn the cons of a game, but your post OP doesn't seem neutral enough so we, the ones that dont play this game, can trust your judgement. :/ |

General: Massey Asks Why Not Let MMOs Grow?
News Discussion « General Discussion 10/05/09 9:21:11 AM
Dana Massey is right. I played WOW when it first released, i was kept playing it for around 1+ year after, when i eventually quit. When WOW first released it had major problems. For example the classes had useless talents. Talents had almost no point except for very few exceptions, especially the so called 41-point talent etc. Back then we got every month a new patch, and what they did was that every month they fixed a class' talents. So it was the priest patch, the warrior patch etc etc. This lasted for around 1 year. So you had the weird phenomenon that some classes had very good talents and some others not. So they almost completely overpowered them. If this happens now everyone will quit the first month. But we kept playing and we waite around 1 year to have a complete talent overhaul. Another problem was that when WOW released it didn't have many dungeons. Especially for max level (60), they added those dungeons after people reached level 60 and they had nothing to do. On top of that epic items from the epic dungeons didn't have good stats nor a unique look. They had only placeholder graphics, they waited only after people started doing those dungeons to fix them. If i continue i can find out more and more problems. Point here is, back then choices weren't many, so you just sticked with that game. Now there are many choices, so people just decide to quit for something else. What companies need to realize is that if we as players dont have to except their games to be so rich like for example WOW, then they also dont have to expect us to pay the same money we pay for WOW. When you have 2 choices, a new game with not much content yet and possibly many bugs, and on the other hand you have WOW or whatever, a game that has much content, and many bugs are fixed, but when you check the price you see that both cost the same its obvious which one you will choose. Companies should not think players as money machines, "lets convince them that our crappy product is good and make them pay the same so we get money", they have to respect them and realize that they have to charge LESS for their newly released product. They have to charge a price that will make players stick with the game despite the problems, and when they have polished the game and realize that the players like the game then they can decide if they will raise the price or not. |

Would like to test out this game, but i cant seem to find any trial. Is there any way to get a trial? |

Wow introduced mmorpgs to the casual players. Then it transformed casual players to hardcore. Now 90% of people play hardcore and not even in wow. |

Actually what you are showing here is that Gamemon is considered a virus and not the game itself. Gamemon is a separate program (i think from a separate company) that many games (including some famous ones) use to prevent cheating into those games. Problem is that Gamemon has a behavior similar to a rootkit. As far as i know, it attaches itself to operating system processes in order to safeguard the game. And probably thats why your antivirus thinks it is a virus. If Gamemon is actually harmful and does more than what it says, that is something i dont know, but this is probably a false alarm. Another problem many people have with Gamemon is that it is very difficult to remove. Even if you uninstall the game, Gamemon stays, and you have to mannualy remove its files. Even if the program is legit, many people dont want useless files and programs to remain on their computers serving no purpose. Ndoors is also the company behind atlantica online, which many people play and is second from top here at mmorpg.com. I dont think Ndoors is really interested to infect people's computers with a virus by creating a virus game. |

I dont know what you all say but 2 of the 3 servers that i have characters have dropped from FULL to MEDIUM the moment AoC got released. Obvisously many people left for AoC straight away... Also now i see far more Medium servers than Full if you compare it to how many there were before... Will those people stay with AoC? Will even more people abandon WoW? Will those people come back to WoW? We will see... I have a feeling that people play WoW because they dont like something else not because they like WoW... |

@OP Im playing EVE a long time now, can you tell me why should i care to kill a noob like you? Me and most of the old players have way better things to do than killing noobs in empire... You probably got killed by a noob like you, better ask yourself "why the f*** did i let that noob kill me?" instead of crying that you got killed by some uber duper super force of evil. |
