Money's not a matter for me either so I pre-ordered it. You spend 50$ on it and if you only play for a month you still got your money's worth imo.  You buy a ps3/360 game for 60$ and play for a few weeks.  Why not buy and see.

I've been playing beta for months now and I don't find the game perfect but it's the newest MMORPG out.  It's more polished than the last 10+ major MMORPGS released.  Everything works, no major bugs, all classes are implemented, multiple dungeons/raids/zones.  There is a lot of content.

If money is not an issue, it's worth buying.

That is why the majority of people I've known have quit, as well as myself.

There are people that have done that quest 10 times and failed.

 The reason you get booted out of the game with a bad login or failed login is to prevent spam login. Imagine if everyone who couldn't log on because it was queued and all 10,000+ of them were just holding enter waiting to login. That would cause some major problems. Obviously there's been no word about it, but I'm assuming that will be changed a bit into retail. However I do agree on the long NCSOFT logo screen.

 I agree, but that mutual lack of content is okay as long as it's compared to WoW. According to most of the people coming to Aion from WoW. :)

 How is windows 7 compatibility as far as other games? I'm waiting for sure, but  is it only the new games that wont work?

 Look at the amount of problems they are currently addressing now. If it was your version of an open beta I don't think it would ever be fixed because there would be too many servers and way too much overpopulation. I think they did it the right way IMO.

 Actually....well said. I should stop trying to make sense of it to people. I'm glad they had this lag so they are more prepared to fix it in the future. However it could have been better if there were no beta keys and more servers. That way they'd be even more prepared. The only things I haven't liked about the game so far are....

1. Gathering Aether with flight time. (not really a bad part about the game, just kind of gets annoying to have to fly back down to rest. In eltnen ill normally just fight mobs while waiting.

2. The fact that there's not a flight path in Tolbias Village lol. (def can be overlooked)

And that's all that comes to mind right now.

I'm pretty sure the Lag and GG issues will be fixed after a few weeks, that's why I didn't mention those.

 I must be missing something then. I don't see how that gives you an advantage. Possibly in flight yes, but you have no comparison to give since you can't name many MMOs with aerial combat. How hard is running up to an opponent? The game had click-to-move set to default in CB and thats the only way to attack something with that sort of movement, that's why it's there.

 One of the main things I see people complaining about is running up to the mob or opponent in pvp when you use an attack.

The fix for the couldnt possibly be more simple. 

1. Press ESC (Options Menu)

2. Click Options 

3. By default it is already at the gameplay tab, if not click that.

4. Click  "Disable auto-approach target"

To some of you that leaves nothing else to complain about. For example the "Aion - Not that great thread.

You won't get much info here from people who have actually played it enough to compare the game to others or to review it.

 Many of us have played the CBTs so no I'm not wasting money, nor is it on something I haven't tried yet. You are still missing the point on the TOS. You paid for something that may not be available 24/7. The point of this OB is for more translations, 1.5 issues, and stress testing. The server's you are playing on are brand new on the East coast. That's going to take some time to figure out all the little and huge problems.

And I'll add to that. Lag does not show incompetence of the game developers. They would much rather have this happen in open beta than at release. If it's fixed during the OBT period then it shows they will actually do their jobs. And Yes they have addressed the lag issue many many times. It's been mentioned in-game and all throughout the forums that they are actively working to fix it.

All who have installed the game, and have logged into the game to at the very least, the Char creation screen have accepted the terms of agreement, use, and end user license agreements.

In the agreements, the following is stated;

(A) NC Interactive reserves the right ot interrupt the service from time to time on a regularly scheduled basis or otherwise with or without prior notice in order to perform maintenance. (B) You ackknowledge that the service may be interrupted for reasons beyond the control of NC interactive, and NC interactive cannot guarantee that you will be able to access the service or your account whenever you wish to do so. (C) NC Interactive has the right at any time for any reason or no reason to change and / or eliminate any aspect(s) of the service as it sees fit in its sole discretion.
