Me like:

a) Questing
b) Variety of costumes to choose/buy/wear
c) Friendly players

Me not like:

a) Click on an NPC and your whole Windows crash (lol)
b) Party members who leave right away after they leveled up
c) "Hey, give me gold. I'm new."

Thanks for the eye-opening inputs.. But still, I don't like how they depict women and girls in MMOs.. How distasteful.. There is one wallpaper from Cabal Online showing a mage (I guess) putting her hand on her bosom in my opinion; quite alluring to the youngsters. That's quite disconcerting for me.

I think there's a disturbing stuff going on with MMOs nowadays. Here are some that I can think off at the moment. For me..these are sickening to some extend..

1. Developers tend to focus more on the graphics rather than the game itself ; value of replayability

2. Based on #1, games are most of the times ridden with bugs and instability (Age of Conan, Rohan and Hellgate London comes to mind)

3. Based on #1, players HAVE to upgrade their system just for the sake of playing it

4. Most MMOs depicting female characters with big breasts and half naked costumes for games developed for the general audience and players (unless rated 'M', like AOC)

5. Encouraging youngsters to spend money pointlessly.

6. Inserting into youngsters's mentality that high level characters and big sum of money in any games makes you a somebody, and not school grades which should have been focused on.

What say you? Am I just thinking too much?

Hmm..sounds like a Catch-22. I dunno if I wanna buy a PS3 and/or an XBox just to play GTA4, but..you know..

Anyone got any idea when is the PC version gonna come out? I got variations of search results ; from "october" to "never". Other than Hello Kitty Online and AION, this is one "offline" game that I've been waiting for since the days of Moses. Seriously.

Hmm..I thought ppl play MMORPGs to socialise, make friends and have fun? Why would anyone wanna go solo? I'd be dead bored if I play solo. If I wanna play solo, I'd play Sam and Max, or Day of the Tentacle anytime!

Anyone knows if there were leveling bots 10years ago? I think we can put that under the "evolution of MMO"

I really really wanna play AION and SUN, but since that I heard that AION going to be a P2P and SUN is totally in Korean, I was wondering if there any other games that looks really really really nice but not much of grinding? I've tried Granado Espada (i love their ingame gowns), Perfect World (good god..i'd rather play Hello Kitty Online which I'm eagerly waiting for), Lineage2 (argh..I play for almost a year and only managed to reach level 70).

p.s: I hope Bullet Witch would be ported to MMORPG

Very interesting subject. What has been posted by glord is totally what's on my mind. I see teens today with spikebands, eyeliners, total black outfit,  on shopping malls but talking about britney spears and evanescence*.

On a lighter note, I was once arrested because the cops thought that being a goth means that you worship satan.

I guess, people are afraid of things that are..different..

*i dont consider them as goths..more like sellouts.
