Knight of the Blazing Sun is currently much more powerful than the chosen class, which has always been underpowered imo. I really think they need to buff Chosen to make them equal to KotBS.

What are the advantages/disadvantages in soloing and tanking for Shadow Knights, Paladins, Guardians, and Berzerkers. I have always loved tanking but at the same time I don't want to be putting out almost no damage and taking forever to level. I am also interested in Wizard/Warlock but don't know which is better for what

yea, WAR sucks....because its too easy...really, you just hit a couple buttons and then the same button over and over again until you run out of energy....then wait a little....then start again...the hardest part is keeping within or without melee range or certain classes.

Vanguard pvp is better. and the pvp server has about 5 people playing at a time. :P

if there was a way to turn your XP off, you would get lots of rank 11/21/31 players in RvR that would kill everyone else, especially on ORvR servers where you do not get a bolster buff in RvR lakes

The hatred towards Arenas is so pointed because half the players MUST lose, and their score is out there for anyone to see.  No other MMORPG that I am aware of 'grades' people like this and makes it public.

 

I don't think that it's a very accurate assessment. Arenas is not really about skill unless you're talking about equally geared teams consisting of the same classes. We all know that certain classes have a particular advantage against other classes and that certain team compositions are generally better in arenas than others. Unfortunately, or fortunately (depending on how you look at it) this game is not really about skill.

With that being said, personally, I dislike arenas because to me that's not what Warcraft should be about. Warcraft is suppose to be about war, not duels and esport. Yet, the esport arenas allow you to get the best PvP gear in the game and BGs (which mimic what Warcraft should be about, do not. Another reason is the organization involved. Where as in a BG, I can just log on and do a few AV's any time I want, when it comes to arenas, I have to make sure that I log on when my teammates are on and set some time of to grind with them.

Basically, being a casual gamer, I get shafted. It doesn't matter though as I'm not planning on buying the expansion any time soon. In my opinion, there really is nothing new being introduced except for more grind.

Actually, part of skill would include making an arena team with classes and specs that work well togethor...

for example, an arena team with 2 prot pallys would get ownd by everyone, but an arena team with a ret pally and a holy pally/resto druid would do much better

Arms is now better than Fury for PvE dps because of Imp. Slam. Fury Warriors might be able to outdps them if they have high amounts of +hit, and the new Rampage is a great group buff

Fury is now better than Arms for PvP dps because all of their damage can be dealt while moving, where as an arms warrior must be standing still to use slam, one of their main damage abilities

But, Prot Warriors now have much better damage and AoE tanking capabilities and are sadly the best PvP spec just because of the insane amount of +hit you need to not suck with Titan's Grip and that Arms cannot deal as much damage to moving targets.

To all those who like Arms Warr pvp, you should reroll retadin. Its sadly the closest thing...all you are missing is interept/charge and the mortal strike debuff, but pallys have lots of OPness to make up for it

UD DKs really wont be that great, cannibalize isnt a combat ability, and Lichborne=Will of the Forsaken they even share a cooldown

Tauren DKs have some extra health that makes them the best for tanking, but they wont be as good for PvP because they deal less dmg as Orcs

If they fix the bugs, it will easily be the best MMO on the market.

In fact, it already is imo, its better than WAR even with the bugs, and all the other MMOs are just more of the same WoW crap

corruption and dread are both crap compared to discord until like rank 25. seriously people. extra cleave damage is a joke, and damage on abilities with cooldowns is too. as for better auras....not that good, and not worth taking one of those paths. not until you get some of the abilities and tactics deep in the tree do you start to benefit from dread or corruption, and the only thing corruption improves thats really any good is Bane Shield, and you dont get that until rank 35-ish. Corruption gives you 2 improved auras and repel and your snare deal more damage, and of course the improved bane shield, which isnt any good until you actually HAVE bane shield.

Discord however, gives you an increase to the damage abilities you actually USE as well as 2 auras that are great for dealing damage with those abilities. And a better blast wave will be nice at rank18. But touch of palsy you dont get until rank 40.

My point is, discord is the only decent mastery until around rank 25, so I would go discord and respec to a different path (if you want) later.

But if you are already a different mastery, dont respec discord. Well, not unless you dont care about the cost anyways.

Edit: Discord is also compatible with a shield or a 2h, which ever you would prefer to use. Discord is by far the highest amount of 1h/shield damage you can do before bane shield. If mythic puts Enraged Blow back into Corruption, it will actually be worth it at lower levels, and it would help with tanking because of the increased threat generation. Right now, corruption doesnt help with tanking until high levels because improving those auras and damage on abilities with cooldowns doesnt help with aggro or mitigation much at all.

 SOE screwed up your game.  You played it for a while, payed for it, loved it, then most likely quit when they changed it. Funcom lied and got you to  pay for a game that was not at all what they said it was and you payed for it, but didn't enjoy it.

and some mmo's fail, SWG being one of them. All of SOE's other MMOs are great imo, except for the non-fantasy one, but, well, all non-fantasy MMOs except EVE dont even compare to fantasy MMOs. I dont like EVE, but some people do, and its the most successful scifi MMO ever.

yay....im 80...imma do same instances, 5 battlegrounds, and maybe some open world pvp for a good 1-2 years until next expansion....

 I like WoW, and Death Knight and some of the new things in WotLK look good but....really its....the same game. It would be nice if there were something better than WoW that I can find but....well thats another problem. I can't find a game I like more than WoW. I plan on trying VG when the trial island download is ready.

Alright, I like WAR, but the PvE is THE WORST I HAVE SEEN IN A P2P MMO.

IMO Vanguard, WoW, and EQ2 are the best PvE games. They have plenty of dungeons and raids, and there isn't forced grouping. Although VG is the hardest to solo with, thats only because WoW and EQ2 are EZ mode outside of instances/raids.
