Uncharted Waters is made by the famous KOEI game company (who brought us games like Bandit Kings of Ancient China, Nobunaga's Ambition, Gemfire, Romance of the 3 Kingdoms and Dynasty Warriors series). |

It is an expansion and you paid for that expansion right? I'm sorry if you don't like the way I said it. Also I'm sorry I don't buy the "make your own content" mentality either. It's like going to a movie theatre and the movie attendants hands you a camera and a bunch of actors and props and tells you "Sorry we got no movie to show you but you're free to make your own movie." But sure, that feature is an innovative if a bold move on Nevrax's part. |

That is so true. I have seen so many games that were truely innovative and next generation and only to die and dissolve due to financial troubles (...cough...SeeD...cough...) and mismanagement (cough... Horizons ...cough) |

That is correct. Here in the USA a lot of people can afford a computer. In many asian countries, a computer is a luxury item that only the upper-middle class people can afford. That is why internet cafes are so popular in asia while not so much in the U.S. |

I have to question the OP's definition of failure. If a specific game does not satisfy you, do you consider that a failure ? I think many of today's game are so hyped up and at the same time old time players has become so jaded that it is quite difficult to satisfy these players. I must admit I am one of these, I have been playing mmos for the past 12-14 years that it becomes hard to find any games that would satisfy because of the "I have seen it all" mentality. Also, many game developers uses the "tried and true" formula that is successful in past games. I think Raph Koster has an article on his website regarding developers simply feeding off each others ideas and nothing new is being brought forth. Very few actual innovations are happening in the games except for better graphics but new game mechanics and new ways of telling stories are becoming stagnant. Then again there is a factor of technology which is bottlenecking on what can be done online. |

Its the parents job to do that and not the goverments.. Parents can't always control their kids. The reason why the government enacted the law is because it has started to become a social problem in china where kids would become delinquents due to online games (they would skip school just to play these games whole day long). |

Forgive me for being skeptic. But if I were paying a monthly subscription service I would expect professional content from the developers and that includes game features and/or stories, etc. altho there are some players who are probably capable of making professional quality content that would be an exception rather than the norm. Yes indeed it is a bold move and I do wish them well on their endeavors however I am very skeptic if such a feature would be successful. |

Personally I really think there should be some form of control over gaming addiction. I think that law in fact is a good medicine for gaming addiction. The kids in china will grow up to become more productive and sociable people if they don't sit on their asses 16 hours a day playing mindless online games. I think that law needs to be enacted here in the USA too. |

You'll need a bit of strategy and twitch to do well. Some monsters can really hurt you if you're not careful esp if they do their special attacks and you got hit by the brunt of it. |

Universe 1 has the most people. But I think I'll give it about 2 weeks for the game to fill up once people start getting their game. |

Yeah I finally figured out the full screen thing under options and was able to play full screen with my 24 inch LCD Widescreen monitor. The game looks good too even without native widescreen resolution. |

I don't think mouse would work well in this game. This is pretty much an action RPG (think Devil may cry or Castlevania) and the keyboard + gamepad works really well (you can customize them at your whim). |

Unfortunately you can't change your body type <fat or thin> only how tall you are. You can customize facial features like hair, eyes, color of hair, skin color, type of face, eyebrows and clothings. |
