There is a difference between the trial and a buddy key. The trial has restrictions like:
- no auction house use - no mail use - you cant send tells unless the person is on your friends list etc. the buddy key acct is fully functional. |

Of course you are not going to be able to use the stables until you find them so you will have to fight your way through once. And BTW if you read the descriptions on the goats it looks like the highest rep one is faster than the others. So maybe you get on to start but it is not as fast as the rep ones.
And BTW what is wrong with a goat. You realize how much of an uproar there would be if you couldn't rent a mount or use one...they are in the books. |

They have already showed them. They are a Ram/Yak like creature that will only be used in the mines for rentable mounts. You won't be able to summon your horse inside. Look in my moria preview thread to see them. |

I don't believe this game will ever go F2P, but what they might do is have like a 4.99/mo model in which you would then pay a bit extra for the free content updates. It seems this is something they want to do for casual gamers without as much time on there hands. Or they might chagre a small fee for access, like 4.99/mo for 30hrs of play. Something like that. |

Buddy key and founders referral are 2 different things.
Buddy: 10 day trial no restrictions, can upgrade account to full no problems.
Founders: Lets you get the cheaper pricing and horse at 25. But you need to have a new account. So if you try the trial or use a buddy key and want a refferal you will have to make a new account effectively losing what you have done. |

You should be able to D/L the client without activating an account. Once you have d/l and then installed you can create a trial account. |
