People always bitch and moan about "current mmo games are just no fun" or "current mmos are all the same".  Ive been a member on these boards for four years and these types of topics never stop.  Either go through the process of finding a new game or if its not the games that makes you bored but rather the genre in general, then just stop playing mmorpgs. i like school for 2 reasons.

1. it gives me something to do

2. it gives me something to try to get out of, which is better than being bored.

im boooooooored out of my mind, my sister has to attenned the summer program for colloage. (something like a camp) and i have no one to pick one. and im not in any mood for playing games since, im bored of all of them, and there dosent seem to be a solution on finding a good game i like.

give me me ideas, oh and i watched the latest episodes of my animes and saw all the latest chapters of my favorite mangas. and now im boooooooooooooooooooooooooored

You defended the hell out of Rohan, why are you not still playing it?

 

I'd recommend PW, it is probably the most fun f2p game I've played, but that is not saying much since basically all f2p games suck (unless you are fine with dropping $100-300 a month for good/equal gameplay)

true i did defend rohan. its fun and every thing but there are 2 minor problems, i hate about the game. first is tht the dekan class is over powered, way too over powered. if u battle him with a class with no debuffs u can be sure of losing.

secound, is i already know wht will happen later in the game if i continue. i know wht my stats will be and i know wht skills i will have and i know tht pvp and wars will be the only thing fun but cus of the 50% dmg in pvp, it makes it more easier for dekans to win so if u pick a dekan be sure most ppl will never pvp with u  except if ur willing to battle with another dekan all the time and if ur another class u will feel unsatisfied tht ur char is weaker than alot player since there huge amont of dekans. and of course in the wars. the guild with most dekan and healers are to be sure of winning.

and the worst is tht if u have a high lvl char with tons of money he can lvl his sub chars to a high lvl in less than a week by lowering the lvl of armors and wepons to a low lvl so tht ur sub can wear. and of course the money he lost by doing tht will come from jis sub's quest wich he knows exactly the answer for each one.

well back to the topic there is a game i found dont know if it will suit u, it kills time if im bored. Air Rivals.

i have shaiya and 12 sky on my comp havent started them yet. i was going to play shaiya but my friend was playing 12 sky so i switched..

there is also a game called Time shift, havent tried it yet not even downloaded or made an account.

if any of u play those games plz tell me maybe we can be friends.

dont wrry tht happens alot for me in alot of sites. just wait a few hours and it will be normal

Sword of the New World is a game with high hopes and expectations unfortunately this doesn't transfer well to the mechanics of the game. Graphically it's a masterpiece, mechanically it's a nightmare. I know that many talk about the Multi-Character-Control system as being revolutionary but honestly it's still seems very buggy. I have experienced times where I can be full on mana and hit my action key repeatedly to no avail. Then there are those skills where you need to click and select a target. This is near impossible to do sometimes when you have 5 or 6 mobs all occupying the same square on the map.

Boss battles are of two extremes, either easy or so hard as to be nearly impossible at the suggested level. All in all it can be frustrating going into a boss battle with a mob supposedly even level to you only to be one shot killed. Then there are times where you attack a boss and knock it down to the ground and immediately your characters lose target and stop attacking. This means you have to click and reset all three of your characters on what they were just doing. A lot of times you don't get the chance before you are, as mentioned, one shotted again.

The world is fantastic and even though I have only been to roughly a  3rd of the zones in the game I am amazed at how well put together they are. I'm also amazed at how original the story is. It's deep and rich and encourages a Role Playing atmosphere in the game. I was suprised to see people actually name their characters very RP names. You see far more RP names on characters than not. Yet this doesn't reflect well on the community as a whole. To be honest, the sad thing is the community is non existent in this game. No one talks to each other in an ooc channel or general chat channel because to do so it costs 500g per sentence. Most people don't want to waste 1,000's of gold to have a conversation. This leads to another conundrum? How can you have a multi-player game when people don't ever want to play with each other? MMORPG's by definition are for people to get together and chat and adventure together. That doesn't happen here because there's no need to do it. In fact 90% of the time people don't even want to talk to each other.

Overall I would say the game is a good game, not by any means fantastic but a good game. It has some definite perks but it also has some major flaws. I think that most could be addressed pretty easily. First off open up chat so people can talk together, this would create a community.

My other major beef is the reliance on equipment to get anywhere in the game. It's sad that just 5 points in a stat can have such a huge affect on the game. This again makes the game frustrating. Especially when the auction house seldom has gear at lower levels, which makes equipping your characters difficult.

Leveling is insane in this game as well. This is because a lot of people bot level or afk level their characters. This makes it frustrating if you have to go to a room to kill a mob only to find the room camped by a player already trying to level his guy's afk. It also means that you will spend an inordinate ammount of time leveling in this game. If you don't mind doing the korean leveling grind then this game will be for you. The rest of the people with full time jobs and a life will find it frustrating.

Overall I would rate the game a 7 out of a 10 but I see it getting better in the future. It's definetely worth a try because I'm sure some of the things I have a problem with wont be a problem for everyone.

i also agree but there is one small thing i oppose which is lvling. i think lvling is the easiest. make a team and but a healer with 2 range classes. then put them some where and press (i think it was assult mode) and leave the comp and go chill out and when u come back they will lvl.

the only reason i dont do tht cus its either do something on my comp or be bored all day

u have to admit that the game  is pretty good. well at least the quests and the other things.

the only reason this game suck is cus the graphics r still ugly, there r too many things to lvl which will take ages to do. and last is that the grinding in this game sucks.

So I downloaded it and played for about a week, got to level 25, then I realized two things.

1.  The quests were bland.  All they would say is "kill this many of this", and this was mainly the quests for the game.  I found this very boring, and in no way what so ever did it make me interested in the game.

i quite rappelz for the same reason, looked all over the games to find a good one, and only found 1 which was sword of the new world. but i hate the game for one reason u dont get to do much in it, ya ya ya quest and bosses and events r fun, but u dont get to do much most skills u dont need.

the only classes u will ever think of using their skills is elemental and wizard. when i tried to get back to rappelz, it wouldnt patch.

u have two choice 1 is stay with this game or and grind game, or u can either play a p2p game or make sure u find a better game before deleting it from ur comp.

is the one with angell online graphics has better hgame play than the one with the #D graphics.

definatly rappelz. rappelz maybe a grinding game but its a team grinding game but skillroad is a solo grinding game.

the only reason rappelz suck is too much grinding and lag. but other than tht i like it very much.

in my opinnion switch skill road with sword of the new world. (many ppl hate to play 3 char at the same time) thts the only reason i know tht "most" not all ppl dont like that much about the game. u can play solo but it will be hard.

or u can switch it with rohan, its a good game but still new so its still not that great but i prefer it more than skillroad.

3. Their's no such thing as a WoW killer. WoW is a game that caters to the casual player, was built by a company with a major reputation and built on an extremely successful series of games. Most casual players don't have the time to MMO hop. Basically, that means the only way people are going to leave WoW is if they get board or Blizzard screws up. Once WoW starts to die, a company is going to have to come along with another casual friendly game that was as game breaking as WoW was. Not only that but the company is going to have to boast a name as strong as Blizzard and build their game on top of a franchise as strong as the Warcraft series was.

 well if there is no such thing as WOW killer then why do they make those stupid, and known posts over and over.

Most MMOs are lucky to reach 1 million subscribers, WoW is currently boasting 12+ million. Nothing is going to kill WoW. WoW will be around for many years before it slowly dies off and any MMO company attempting to kill WoW is simply setting themselves up for a major failure.
