Lovers Vs. Haters of Aion. A Pro and Con comparison.

Originally posted by Kamikazego I'm guessing that by the amount of pros, that you're a fan of Aion? I'm just curious as to which one i should put it under ;) im not a fan but im gona give the game a go, eventho the all bad things listed in first post. but to seeing opponents level is just bull**** and peeking under the " skirt " seeing what items someone have is just lame. no levels no items just plain quick decition making am i gona attack or run away is the best. |

i made both 2 different servers, eventho i like asmodian starting area more, aswell the main city of asmodians i liked the feeling more than being in sanctum. still i was only playing beta for couple of days , things might change when i play more. edit : have to say also that asmodian male running style looks very retarted, and yea its all about the looks i suppose at the end of the day most people chose sides.

why theres needs to be endgame dungeon what you by then can grindfarm endlesly after you reach level cap?! mindless.. just everlasting end game war sounds far more nicer. people seeking endgame dungeon raid can stick in for example carebear world of teddycraft wich they allows soon an option if you pay this amount of money you will be able to party with opposing faction. |

Originally posted by bloodaxes shame that the res topf the game is quite bad ( my opinion ) and i have to say , gear and weapons should only be for looks and what matters most is your skill like in fps games you had it or dont have it. dont have it? craft stuffs then or something else what game provides. should be a winner.

puuh another moan and crycry from assassin, accept your calss bad side as you want to play with it. ive seen templar beating sorcerers with 2handed weapon, gladiators doing the same for example. melee classes ? yes. so if assassin who hides in shadows anyway and cowardly tries to ambush targets at the end of the day is not so good against caster class in this game its only bonus from my point of view! cheers,
edit, one good way to deal with casters overpowering is : they wear a cloth so basicly no armor as i see it as a realistic way to balance things would be they dies in couple of sword swing hits by then they are allowed to have some roots and stuff . unlike in world of warcraft were mages wearing some rag robes can take beating like tanks because of resilence, turned me off from pvp in that game. |

everyhting working fine in my end ingame. if the first day was lag lag etc. you could go and pick some cookies while wait until they got it under control , i mean theres still plenty of time to play to make your judgement. people are too hasty always. anyway, for the beta key without pre order already in hand i dont have any experience how that worked.

everyone copycat someway or another today. but to the point i really like it how they turn it again horde against alliance war and forgot the carebearing alltogether against ai monsters type of gameplay. also new areas zones map whatever excite always and its worth of a peek, if you are intersted about the lore if not then those are not for you, couple new classes , worgens behind the wall in silverpine forest, have you not always wondered what lies behind when you have been adventuring in silverpine forest? also new jungle ( goblins ) looking quite tempting and the fact that blood elfs can be warriors now. i know some say those are cheap upgrades what should have been there right at the start but hey, devs are allowed to have some room of later improvements eventho they knew that some things they dont add in that precise moment will upset some players eventho they will add them later on and i know , make the players pay for those as a form of new expansion, and also make players pay for mistake taking the northrend expansion totally in wrong direction of original purpose of warcraft game. still this lil molly gona buy it, so what , costs some euros dollars pounds whatever? only thing is if you like it you buy if dont , you probably end up whining about it in forums hours on end and arguing the improvements or unimprovements. i dont like raiding i did it when it was before any expansion. i like adventuring and the fact that i belong either good or bad and i can hate my enemy in form of attacking it wich means player of another faction. alltogether i will buy the new expansion eventho ive been playing on and off from 11th february 2005. so for final word i dont care hoots about if they copy some other game or not its all somhow new and playable how long? it will remains to be seen. cheers, |

op, find a job then you might understand the reason that games are more of a relaxing entertainment form than anyhting else. |

I'm going to respond to your OP only since I don't give a rats ass what others say in this thread. I quit because WoW is nothing but a soulless gear grind. You have two options in WoW You can run raids forever or Instance pvp forever for items. Not much of a choice tbh. The items you grind thousands of raids and pvp mini games for get replaced by expansions and new armor updates constantly. Basically giving you a less than satisfactory feeling of achievement. WoW's crafting is a waste of time tbh and all that's left is rolling alt after alt. I just got tired of it. All the money Blizzard makes and they release content on the average of your run of the mill 150k sub P2p MMO. After trying other MMOs I've found that WoW really wasn;t anything special and that I wasted years playing a game when I could of supported a better MMO development house. Do you really want to go back to running instances everytime your on for purple items just so they could be replaced within months? WoW is just the same content over and over again. Look at the latest patch they gave players a one room dungeon thats basically a loot pinata and the playerbase being so addicted is eating it up lol. Don't waste your time seriously
i agree |

should only have one zone to rvr and the rest zones for training and adventuring , that way there would be always people to participate war between factions. |

op talking bullshit and yeah lazy people are used to quick dialog and questhelpers. |

Originally posted by Krytycal absolutely true. watching movies, reading book etc.. is all escapism from real life. its up to you what you pick, and they are all equal enertaniment forms, and it is silly to say or ask why you play so much while the person who asks the question watches tv as much for example. and for the loneliness question, for me, i just happen to like playing games its my cup of coffee of entertainment of course i like movies etc also , also have girlfriend and baby coming in days from now on. and i still keep playing when i can because i like it not because im lonely =)

The Current Problem with Online Gaming – IE MMORPG’s
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 7/31/09 1:19:15 PM
nice opening op, i have to say i agree tho and freedom of choise in games is what i yell at the moment myself, out of the forcing raiding grouping bullshit to get best items, theres i other ways to deal with it also. every player is unique and therefore needs to be respected so if you only respect those who tend to sacrifice their real life to gear up like you did it leaves no room for those who wants game to be fun in minority hours but then again are skilled what they do in game and ot punished because they dont wanna spend endless hours sitting and pressing couple of buttons in a row. cheers, good post. |

freedom of choise , what a beautiful thing, and if games as mmos are going in that direction in every sector im only pleased. forcing is so last season. some people enjoy mmos without having a need to do something to be best. how you play is more important than how many you play with. |
