Maybe.. I'm thinking about using this concept for a flash game.. If I do I'll post a link.. maybe it could give an impression of how the game could turn out to be

Well, I got another idea about a MMORPG. If you fell like using this game concept, please use it, because I can't make it. Here's the deal anyways:

The setting is Scandinavia, 10th century. There is many kings owning different regions. You will start out by family. Then choose your god. (The god you choose will determine what kind of fighting style your family will have.) Then you will choose where you want to make your farm. You will start out as a normal farmer, with a small farm, from there you can decide if you will expand your farm, or sail out to plunder (yes, there will be player owned ships). If you're successfull enoug, you will maybe get a king and own large ammounts of lands. If one of your family members dies he is dead permanently, so you should watch carefully out for your family members/soldiers. If the head of the family dies his son will take over, and when all your family mambers dies one of the slaves (you can choose any, will take over.) In combat you can choose to either control one soldier/family member (then the others will be controlled by a CPU, and do the most tactically smart things), or for the more edxperienced players you can control the whole army at once. By killing the king of one country you will become the king. There will have to be many servers, as there won't be unlimited land. If your country is too big, and you stop watching over the outer parts of the country, there will maybe be a civil war, so a too big country that you control all by yourself will fall apart. To solve thyis problem you can trade land (or you could just have some counts, who are real players who you trust enough tolet them watch over for different parts of your land). However, I've found a problem: At some point, a clan will try to controll a whole server, but there will be CPU hordes attacking your kingdom/farm; the bigger the farm/country, the harder the enemy. Hopefully that will help preventing one clan from controlling a whole server.

That's all for now, when I get new ideas I will add them

I just got an okay idea for a Hogwarts/Harry Potter game.. First of all you would choose if you want to be black magic or normal magic, if you choose black magic you can only choose slytherin. If you choose normal you can choose all the other houses (the houses will be like classes, so the different houses will have different spells). There could be around ten levels; The first 7 represents one year at the school, after the first seven years you can choose a proffesion, then you'll have 3 more levels. There will be many different skills that you could get just by going to a class, or using them. So if you choose to go to a lot of transfiguration classes you would be godd at that, by learning transfiguration you can maybe transfigurate racks to beasts (or something like that). The level system will work like most other games, the more enemies you kill (or quests you do) the faster you will level up. By going to a class you would maybe learn a new spell, the spell system would maybe work like this: If you hold down the left mouse button, and move the mouse in a special shape (like a square) you will do a spell, the more complex the shape is the better the spell. There will be several events (maybe twice a month) where you can learn spells you can't learn anyways; if you've missed it there is no way to ever get the spell again, however most spells will be normal spells that you get from classes and quests (spells like wingardium leviosa, or rictusempra would be normal spells that you would learn anyways). With this system your character will most likely be unique. There should be no skill caps, and there should be a rank list for the people who are the best at each subject. The PvP would maybe be the duel club from the second club, however, in the forbidden forest you could maybe have fights between dark and good magicians. Sometimes there should be events from the books (Warning: spoiler allert!: like the last battle with Voldemort, there will be a Voldemort spawn deep in the deepest parts of the forbidden forests, maybe the chamber of mysteries would open so you could kill the basilisk, or maybe the triwizard tournement). The diagon alley would be the place to buy the best wands, robes, cauldrons, and maybe stock up on some potion ingredients.

That's all for now, will add new ideas when I get some :)

Well.. I just bought Crysis, and I'd heard so much great stuff about it (especially the graphics), and then after waiting a few hours for the 12 GB installing, I found out that it laggs REALLY bad.. My computer was supposed to fit the requirements though..

I agree.. but it's mostly metal for me, but I listen to everything from blues to black metal

That's not actually that big a stretch...

EDIT: Don't know why I forgot to post my opinion lol... Try again...

I put my vote in for Jazz, as I'm putting a bet in that noone else/very few others would, because most people tend to 'like' jazz, but not 'listen to' it. I put myself in both camps, as well as playing it. Which brings me to my real point on this. There aren't any genres I don't listen to, BUT that isn't to go with the copout a lot of the general public use 'Oh, I listen to anything.' I'm INCREDIBLY picky about my music. I find it hilarious when generic indie kids tell me they listen to everything, without adding the proviso 'that NME tells me to listen to.' I can always prove them wrong by throwing on some of the ole Gorgoroth, or some Avant Garde Jazz.

My criteria for music that I will happily listen to, is exactly that: there has to be something good to listen to. Something that I can enjoy for the 500th time, as much as I enjoyed the first time (and there damn well better be something worth enjoying the first time, or else I'm gonna snap the CD). I find that with jazz recordings, even as a drummer (and drumming has come on A LOT since the 1940 recordings I enjoy) I can still listen for the 500th time and be just as in awe at the rhythmic complexities, and improvised melody as I was the first time I tried to grasp what's going on in the song. I get the same from Dragonforce though as I do from Miles Davis (maybe less so ;) ), or even from solo acoustic stuff, like David Meade, or more contemporarily acceptable, Secondhand Serenade. Music needs to have a depth that can take all of my attention, but it also should fit seemlessly in the background if I don't want to pay attention to it.

I will have to say though, I HATE indie. With a f*cking passion. The least deep, imaginative music in the entire world, with the least talent involved in playing it. However, I did say above that there's no genre that I outright say 'no' to. There are a couple of indie bands that I do enjoy - namely, Scouting for Girls and Oasis. I mean, I hate Oasis for what they did to music, but come on. Wonderwall is fucking addictive.

We feel the same way then.. I only listen to music that I like listening to, and I almost never like any songs outside of those genres though..

I think it's wrong to download movies, not music. I often just download a few songs off an album to see if it's worth buying...

Used to be.. In 1st grade I read a 300 pages book in one week.. Then for a few years it stopped, but in 6th grade I got addicted to reading again, and would maybe read one to three 5-800 page fantasy books a week.. unfortunately I've read the local library's stock of fantasy books

The legal consent age in most places worldwide is 16.

BS.. come to Europe and you will find in most places its 14 .

japan from a federal standpoint its 13 but most state type law raises it to about 16.

I hear the same is true with most countries with a low age of consent law.

No..its 14 in most countries in Europe. In the uk its 16 but in other places in Europe its 14. In holland a 30 year old man can sleep with a consenting 14 year old and this applies to other countries in Europe as well.

In Norway it's 16 years old.

And the danish newpaper just had to print them again after some people tried to kill the author of the pictures.. Now thats PATHETIC

Woah saying that goes against my views of the world. You, and the whole of Norway should apologize for hurting my feelings.

I hope you see the sarcasm.

The cartoons didn't attack anyone. I've seen hundreds of cartoons making fun of buddhists, hinduists, christians and various other religions, but the instant they choose to include muslims, bull shit starts.

Reprinting them was stupid, but it's still very within our own rights. The cartoons were meant for a danish culture, and not for middle eastern culture, where they don't have freedom of speech.

I haven't seen the video either, but attacking muslim extremnist is absolutely fine by me. I know some moderate muslims and they can see the joke in the cartoons. They have also lived in Denmark for several years so they understand why we think it's okay to show such cartoons.

I do see the sarcasm, and i know that most other religions would'nt kill for it. But I personally think that the newspapers printed them again with the purpose of getting more attention.. it worked the first time right?
They really risked the author of the cartoons life by doing that.. That's what I see as pathetic..
