Next Tasos is going to claim that these very same bots are their new PR and Support department.....Why not? They sure seem bright enough.

It's probably possible to write simple algorithms that have bots running around a game world to find simple things like collision detection problems but there;s no freakin way that bots can test like a human can...

If they had what they claim they could cancel Darkfall Online right now and just sell their AI bug testing code and be instant billionares overnight....

Basically what this guy is claiming does not exist anywhere in the world..

The majority of the DF fans are starting to wake up now that they have Mortal Online to follow.. which has about 100 x more credibility after only a few days than DF has after 7 years..

But I agree. The overview on this site does sound like a bunch of wide eyed amateurs spewing out every great idea they can think up without stopping to think if can be or should be done.

I pondered this question for awhile, and I have come to acknowledge a stark reality of why EQ was what it was.  That which makes EQ archaic and very difficult compared to this new "User Friendly" mmo genre is that which makes it great.  Its the Time Sinks and all the old pains in the ass about EQ ( such as say a very difficult corpse retreival) and the fact that NPCs dont have a damn target over there head , you have to actually interact with them to learn about a quest. 

I thought of an analogy to compare it to, lets say your really craving a turkey sandwich.  If you hunt and prepare the turkey yourself, your gonna appreciate the hell out of that sandwich, because you busted your ass for it and it means somthing to you.  ( Thats EQ )  

Or you could just go to the store and buy some pre packaged lunchmeat that doesnt taste as good (Everything Else out there to date)

thats my theory, if anyone has thoughts on it i'd love to hear it.

EQ was junk compared to Asheron's Call

It has absolutely NOTHING to do with WHO made that article.

It's listed on one of the largest MMORPG sites on the net and probably has already been seen by thousands of people... (potential subscribers??)

Not to mention the fact that everything he said in the article was 100% true..

and even if that guy wasn't talking about Age of Conan , it still makes no difference because he was comparing his game to other games and saying how much better it is with NOTHING to back it up....not just that day.. but for god knows how many years now..

He was personally called out on a major game site and basically called a liar among other things.... If you don't think that causes major damage to their credibility and does not warrant a proper rebuttal from him (assuming he even has the ammo)  than you're living in a dream world along with the Darkfall developers along with their delusional followers.

Because you didn't explain your reasoning?

The reason is very simple and obvious.

They got bitch slapped upside the head a few days ago on the very same site that hosts their dev journals. You would think that ANYONE who has even the slightest commen sense would make damn sure that their next journal would be as quality as it can be and filled with things like videos of gameplay and good info... otherwise they just look like suckers with  nothing to show... and it makes the bitch slapping look valid and ruins them publically.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even do anymore journals after that..

Will the Darkfall Online community be vindicated by a monumental revealing of quality information and media or will they have egg thrown in their faces by the ones they hold in such high regard?
