I just recently brought this up on the guild wars 2 facebook page.  Nice to see that I'm not the only one wondering about this app.  I want it to feature picture galleries, so your friends can send you screenshots of what they're doing, maybe their new armor, etc.

30/50 isnt hard.  Just requires a lot of farming or cash.  I pretty much stopped playing GW after I got my 30+.  Just waiting for the game without a release date to finally come out :p  

Since I can't attend and play the demo myself, I expect all of you to take vids :p  I'm excited to see more gameplay footage!  I wanna see the guardian in action, especially.

I can't wait to kill you all with my Wall of Deflection skill!  Ranged fighters beware ;p

The guardian is a type of warrior henchmen in guild wars 1 that focuses on tactics builds.  I would expect to see this being a tank character that focuses on shield techniques for absorbing damage, while the warrior may be more focused on dealing damage.  If they make its skills unique enough, I'd be willing to try out this new class.

All we can do is sit back and speculate due to a lack of info.  There is nothing wrong with William Murphy doing it as well.

Judging by the information from the "When it's ready" blog that was previously released by Eric Flannum, I wouldn't expect guild wars 2 to come out in 2011.  I quote, "...the coming year is going to bring with it a lot of cool information and maybe a few surprises as well."  "cool information to me doesn't sound like a game release.  In my opinion, we'll be lucky to see a beta.

I'm a little upset there is still no release of GW2 in sight as I was hoping for at least alpha beta by end of this year.  From a look at their gameplay demo and from reading their development logs I am impressed enough and will continue patiently waiting for it to be released.

WoW will grow old one day .... I have hopes for GW2 :) [if it ever comes out], but definatly WoW2 ;) if anything doesn't until Blizzard gets to that stage (and that my friends will be the end of the universe)

I hear this request a lot.  Even though there a a large number of amazing mmo's out there some people are always either bored or unsatisfied.  Shopping around for a new mmo can be tough, especially starting into a new game that has been around for a while.  Adapting to new playing styles and lingo can be difficult.  My suggestion to you is to be patient and look into some of the newer mmo's that are to be released this year.  There are some highly anticipated titles such as aion, darkfall, star wars, star trek, etc.. anything to suit your tastes.  Feel free to keep looking at the ones that are already out there, but don't pass up taking a look into a fresh new beginning.

I agree with final fantasy online as being a good choice, but according to your preferences maybe you should be watching for some new titles that are being released in 2009.  There's lots of mmorpg potential to look forward to.  It may be worth holding on a bit longer before committing yourself.  Look into games like Aion, Darkfall, or anything else that catches your interests.  Do as you must, good luck and good gaming to you.
