NO!, you said at the end of your article that people who enjoy Wow will enjoy Aion. That's alot of people. That's not a fail, that's a win. I personally don't like Wow and I think Aion is a blast!

Yay Aion, it's about time.  I'm getting tired of being told when I can and can't play Aion. I don't think I'll even play the open beta.

I'll be playing Eve Online until the 26th when my sub runs out. Heading to Vegas on the 27th to play different kinds of games :)

Sounds like another reason for me to go with spiritmaster when the game goes live.

With sieges taking place only on land. Sounds like my pets will come in handy. Not many people are playing spiritmaster because the pets don't fly, but I don't find that I fly all that often in the game anyway.

It's great to see a shot of one of the ships. Aion has done a great job of taking the best ideas from so many games and implementing them into one game. Looks like we have a little sci fi thrown in with our fantasy this time.

CBT6 is now over, now we have open beta coming up. I'm ready to play for real and looks like the game is as well. :)

Personnaly I will plan to be playing Aion. I am enjoying it more than any other game I've played so far and that's just solo. But who knows in 3 years.

I know I'm necroing this post, but I just had to say the mmo word I had most is GAY. 

Do people know that Gay means fun. What's wrong wtih a game being fun anyways?

I moved on and away from Wow a couple of years ago, but even I enjoyed that read.

The graphics are really not all that. The game is beautiful but technically nothing spectacular. The most important thing is that Aion is fun to play.  There are simple kill quests, but they dont go on forever like other games. the long quests are quite interesting.

This is doable,  make soo the default for character are designed to look westernized (different pre-sets for the western version, is a simple change, not a hugue one).    Maybe even make so the korean devs add some textures / decorators that will be used by the western guys. 

One with my problems with the game is that *all*, and with all, i mean ALL  male npc's are  efemenine.  I am not a person that say "GAY" at any oportunity, but here is real, all the males in AION looks GAY.  I don't think that can be modified, and I think is bad, if only because of the lack or variety

My character has horns a black beard and wrinkles. Try customizing your characters. Just hitting randowm, will land on Gay everytime.

Last year I threw my 4k custom made piece of junk in the closet and went to the store and bought an HP for 1/4 the price. It has a tarabyte hardrive,  4 gigs of ram, quadcore processor and an nvidia 9600gt.  It games great and didn't cost a fortune. In two years everything will be obsoleat,  you end up buying everything all over again.

Don't spend to much on something that doesn't last that long.

It will run great!  the graphics are beautifull but not overstressfull on your system like aoc.

I was in the friends and family beta, it was messy.  I lost interest, figured that I was just not ready to beta test something that raw.   Maybe it just sucked

I'm 46 and have played Wow and Eve both on and off for years. It's two different experiences, I enjoy them both at times, and hate them both at times.

The perfect game for everyone just doesn't exist, and probably never  will.

Us older players would like something that knocks our socks off, just like the younger players.

It may never happen, Aion  looks great, but then it doesn't.

Honestly, "The Witcher" could be the best mmo ever, that's my opinoin. It just needs a name change :)

I too gave up my toons a couple of years ago and have just returned to Eve as a noob.

Life as a noob is much easier the second time around. I thought I would be frustrated by not being able to fly my battleships anymore, but I'm not. They have made it to where you can fly a battle cruiser within a week now and I'm having a blast in my hurricane.  Salvaging also adds a purpose for hanging around and clenup up your mess after a mission. The missions seem to pay much better than before and then there is the salvaging  loot to boot. I currently just playing alone about one night a week. I simply no longer have the time to be an active corp member, but I can still chat with old friends on other channels.

Eve has come a long way, it's no wonder they are finally coming out with a retail box.  Although I'm not sure why anyone would buy the box when it is free to ddownload.

Who cares.
