time will kill WoW, nothing else - it has far to many subs to die to another game...

look at the sheer amount of servers it has, maybe in time as the game goes out of date, they will half the servers by merging 2 with each other....but it still wont die

o my wow sub will stop when aion comes out (i hope)

been trying for abit and am stuck at the ''authenticating'' screen, forum and website dont laod either...

strange that i cant see a post on any site...just me?  

gold selling can never be stopped...botting however can be stopped easily with a dedicated team

will play aion upon release, and try GW2 when it comes out - and decide which one i like best then

not enough time to play 2 games

OP is spot on, i played UO and have spent the years looking for a new MMo to really settle on

Ultima Online, Legend of Mir, Dragon raja....all crappy graphical games etc...however they have the excitement for a totaly open world, with no crummy instances

nice to see the site finaly up! always nice to see, as it normaly means the game is progressing well in the development side

have to say the EU site looks pretty damn good, and imo its always a good advert for a game when the site looks cool

casuals ruin mmos -_- sad but true !

casual influance leads to instanced servers ---> rubbish!

Oddly, that tends to be true, but what happens if you choose to run the game at medium settings it won't use system memory to store any textures. In fact you can confirm this by going medium and looking at advanced settings in video. You'll see the option for system memory caching at 0%. It's interesting to notice this because other games like LOTRO will cache in system memory by default. I wonder why AoC doesn't... o_O

i dont really understand that much about pcs, i no i have corsair ddr3 ram at 1666mhz 2gig, and i run crysis on very high with 0 lag....only reason i can see to have more then 2gig is if you do massive number crunching operations

early mmo's are better for one reason

no instances taking you to your own area...

like u need over 2gig for any game lol...after 2gig its all about timings and frequency

o and i have 2x 3870 in quad crossfire, runs nicely

playing wow and crysis, prolly try aoc

there should be a beta of somesort, for a stress test at least

Interesting that you have so much power yet stopped with 2 gigs of RAM.  More importantly, I'm curious what you think of your physics card.  I've been toying with buying one but have a hard time seeing the benefits.

why would i need more then 2gig of ram though? only 64bit  systems take advantage of 4gig - of which the drivers are really bad for games - as for Physx card...from what ive noticed - fog/smoke, explosions and these kind of effects look better ( on crysis )...i think you noitce if more at a high res. Apperently takes the strain off your gcards aswell.
