The 8800 GT will outperform most of the 9000 serius minus the 9800 gtx2 which is of course a 600$ card. For my 8800 GT OC2's I payed a total of about 360$ and my 2 cards outperform one Gtx2 by about 10%. I have tested both.

It's up to you from there what you do, but I recommend the 8800 GT OC2 from BFG. Hella nice card. Also upgrade ya ram to 4gig if you are running vista x64, as I didnt check to see what OS ya running but if you are, then you need atleast 4 gig ram.

I am CCNA and CCNE certified and am required to know quiet a bit about hardware, take the advice or leave it, up to you, but I do know what I am talking about, not to brag of course, just required to know it in my line of work because not only do I network but I also build/distribute computers at whatever company's request and specifications.

im going to throw in another 2 GB of ram but i need help with the vid card.

Im looking for the most bang for buck in terms of FPS improvement to dollars spent. im also only inclined to buy nvidia.

I used to keep up with the new techs years ago, but cannot any longer.

so, geforce 9000 series it seems to be for me. which would yield a nice boost? im not sure the differences between the GT GTS GTX.

i lived and worked in staten island for some years. pretty italian.  wannabee mobsters. a goumada is expected :)

the republican party is swimming in dangerous terroritory. a 60 seat majority is probable this cycle. republicans must use this minority time to reflect how they became the majority in the first place.

conservative principles on its own, is truly sexy. when operated in the hands of self interest it pisses people off. but im sure once americans see their tax bill and mandates opposed on them by self interested democrats, the cycle will come around again.

we definitely need a republican in the white house to counter these democrat goons with a veto pen.

saw this bee special a while ago.

these huge japanese wasps, 30 of em- took down a whole colony of bees from europe. thousands of them- tore them to shreads, ripped off their heads methodically.

well, their was the same european bees that lived in japan who evolved a cool defense mechanism. the large jap scout was poking around, the bees let him. he entered the hive, the bees let him. their was a timed response all of a sudden. they swarmed him but did not attack. instead they shook wildly heating up the wasp to 105 degrees which killed the scout wasp. the euro bees can tolerate 106 degrees. they cooked the jap bee by shaking parkisonian like.
