Originally posted by Zorndorf LOL. How about being a frustrated WOW hater these days ....:)))) read about it here: http://www.wow.com/2009/11/07/patch-3-3-luck-of-the-draw-buffs-you-for-pugging/ The cross server dungeons (together with the dual specs) and the ALREADY clustered PVP simply allows a 24/7 GROUP play in an MMORPG on YOUR level and YOUR gear status. BTW yesterday EU English had ... 42 servers on FULL of which 8 were locked. Try entering realms like Al Akir at prime time in EU. .... and patch 3.3 isn't even out yet. As always the competition struggles MILES behind. Probably being based on "concepts" than rather have GAMING elements to promote play 24/7. Like I said : Blizzard now shapes this industry and the rest comes (far) behind in adapting its techniques.
Go ahead and dream on, if the servers were booming with activity that lfg tool is useless, but yet you hink its a welcome addition, makes one wonder not? Btw stolen from GW as there you can switch to american korean chineese and european servers for 4 years already, finding groups 24/7 as you can change to servers with different timezones so nothing revolutionary about it.
Blizzard shapes nothing, they just copy paste. |

Only that can be written about it is that its not revolutionary but a way to hide empty servers. |

Guild Wars, sure you can argue that you have to buy the box, but after that its the only true f2p game out there imo No hidden costs like the other so called f2ps to be competitive |

That's because it's not true. Here is something official from NCSoft.
Do you see how close it is of their sale between Lineage II and AION? I am sure as hell Lineage II does not have 3.5 million subscribers. As a matter of fact, if the number on MMO Data is correct Lineage II has less than 1 million subscribers. But that's also bring up another issue because MMO Data estimate AION to have about 3 millions subscribers. Did the site owner not read NCSoft financial report?
Those figures of Aion are from Korea alone at that time, does not include China, Taiwan, Japan and the west |

Why so much hate at a successful, highly polished and fun game?

I never criticise anything I haven't tried before, and often I have been wrongly accused of not having tried what I'm criticising and honestly I think it's just because it's a good argument to "disarm" the other person but nothing else.
thats why i say mostly, i didnt say you didnt play it, but i know posters here that bashed it from the start and never touched it |

Nah the hate on here mostly comes from people that never touched the game |

Since I showed you the the average 18 % (!) difference in ratings above (coming from as much a 65 professional reviews and sites), I do think my personal opinion on WOW is meaningless here. I am being backed up by the majority of rating sites. Mmorpg.com is biased as was clearly shown by the average numbers above. They should include a paragraph in their header: "looking for an alternative to play WOW as an mmorpg.com." But no longer worthy of the name mmorpg.com as such. So I ask you : who owns mmorgp.com ? The argue of ... "your personal opinion" is worthless in this case. Because I ask a very fundamental question which is clearly shown by this sites official behaviour toward certain games ... in view of what the rest of the web publishes.
Why do you still post here then? start posting on a site that rates WoW higher then Aion.
Good bye
And in my opinion Aion is better then WoW at launch yes. |

Is AION the most professional launch we have ever seen?

The most popular servers been known on most fansites since NCSoft announced the servers. If your guild took the most populated server blame them but not NC.
You cant expect them to just add servers for the sake of it. when everything goes to the 15% userbase online per server in a couple days/weeks everyone would be complaining about ghost towns.

it should be free. the free 30 days as far as i know start after the headstart |

Are a couple good solid games from Korea including Aion
might not be your thing but dusnt mean they are not there |

Is Funcom patent infringing, which could jeapordize the company?
General Discussion « Age of Conan 9/19/09 12:44:57 PM
They are basicly trying this on all mmo companies not just funcom.
I believe NCSOft is a year in court with them already or a simular case |

Considering all the games they axed arent NCSoft made games but published by NCSoft i dont see Aion going anywhere All NCSoft made games are still going strong even Lineage after 10 years As the publisher ncsoft i dont see anything wrong with it either, atleast they give companies the change and the fund to try something out of the box. dusnt always work but atleast they tried. |
