The catch is that blizzard found the new catchy word for mmorpg play and you are not following: 24/7 on your gaming exprience.

It is quite the opposite of old mmo designs: where the OTHERS decided you would HAVE to play.

can do it already for 4 years in GW its not new, but then i can play every mmo 24/7 no mmo i played closed the servers after sesame street

I play them all except the Korean gold grabbers.

Waste of time to succomb to Asian money grabbers.

Too intelligent to go into that trap of copycat.

Yet you dont mind wasting alot of time posting useless crap about them.

and lol on the copycat...

Perhaps play the game and study the new mechanics instead of spitting vomage on one sentence you read....

Like you do on all other  mmo's besides WoW?

LOL. How about being a frustrated WOW hater these days ....:))))
  Dont hat

read about it here:

http://www.wow.com/2009/11/07/patch-3-3-luck-of-the-draw-buffs-you-for-pugging/

The cross server dungeons (together with the dual specs) and the ALREADY clustered PVP simply allows a 24/7 GROUP play in an MMORPG on YOUR level and YOUR gear status.

BTW yesterday EU English had ... 42 servers on FULL of which 8 were locked. Try entering realms like Al Akir at prime time in EU.

.... and patch 3.3 isn't even out yet.

As always the competition struggles MILES behind. Probably being based on "concepts" than rather have GAMING elements to promote play 24/7.

Like I said : Blizzard now shapes this industry and the rest comes (far) behind in adapting its techniques.

Go ahead and dream on, if the servers were booming with activity that lfg tool is useless, but yet you hink its a welcome addition, makes one wonder not?

Btw stolen from GW as there you can switch to american korean chineese and european servers for 4 years already,  finding groups  24/7 as you can change to servers with different timezones so nothing revolutionary about it.

Blizzard shapes nothing, they just copy paste.

Guild Wars, sure you can argue that you have to buy the box, but after that its the only true f2p game out there imo

No hidden costs like the other so called f2ps to be competitive

Are you that naive to think their main goal is charity?

Wake up dude, if that was the case they would donate 100% not 50%.... its a stupid minipet why do they need 5 dollars for it?

Its shamefull yes, it shows no character yes, will they expand it with more stuff, definately

This,

and not only 100% of 1 pet but both

That's not even close to correct. When you are ignorant, being a fanboi does not fix that.

The IGN article mentioned the 3.5 millions subscribers was posted in May 2009. AION China was launched April 2009, so the Q2 number included AION China.

The IGN article even had the launch date wrong for AION China. Here is the quote: "since its launch in Asia in March, has built up 3.5 million subscribers."

If AION number was anywhere close to 3.5 millions subscribers in Asia like the article mentioned it would have showed up in NCSoft financial report for Q1 and Q2.

China Aion isnt run by NCSoft so no China isnt in those figures

Does anyone have an official release from Nsoft themselves rather than an IGN report about a Korean website reporter? It just seems very skewed and we all know how Chinese whispers en up. They were the ones also claiming the 3.5M subs number despite Nsoft not actually mentioning anything about it, so I don't exactly trust them.

That's because it's not true. Here is something official from NCSoft.

Do you see how close it is of their sale between Lineage II and AION?

I am sure as hell Lineage II does not have 3.5 million subscribers.

As a matter of fact, if the number on MMO Data is correct Lineage II has less than 1 million subscribers. But that's also bring up another issue because MMO Data estimate AION to have about 3 millions subscribers. Did the site owner not read NCSoft financial report?

Those figures of Aion are from Korea alone at that time, does not include China, Taiwan, Japan and the west

Nah the hate on here mostly comes from people that never touched the game

I know this is a thing that most people say and it's cherised by the fans of the game but how do you actually know that?

I never criticise anything I haven't tried before, and often I have been wrongly accused of not having tried what I'm criticising and honestly I think it's just because it's a good argument to "disarm" the other person but nothing else.

thats why i say mostly, i didnt say you didnt play it, but i know posters here that bashed it from the start and never touched it

Originally posted by LordDevil  at least we are having a blast :)

All that counts.

Or maybe you should stop thinking that wow is the best game and get in your mind that there are people who don't like it and enjoy playing something else.

Since I showed you the the average 18 % (!) difference in ratings above (coming from as much a 65 professional reviews and sites), I do think my personal opinion on WOW is meaningless here.

I am being backed up by the majority of rating sites.

Mmorpg.com is biased as was clearly shown by the average numbers above.

They should include a paragraph in their header: "looking for an alternative to play WOW as an mmorpg.com."

But no longer worthy of the name mmorpg.com as such.

So I ask you : who owns mmorgp.com ?

The argue of ... "your personal opinion" is worthless in this case. Because I ask a very fundamental question which is clearly shown by this sites official behaviour toward certain games ... in view of what the rest of the web publishes.

Why do you still post here then?

start posting on a site that rates WoW higher then Aion.

Good bye

And in my opinion Aion is better then WoW at launch yes.

Some people just want to play with their long time guilds, and no where else, so they are gonna complain, just don't read it if it bugs you that much lol

And they let you but with a cost, long waiting times.

The most popular servers been known on most fansites since NCSoft announced the servers.

If your guild took the most populated server blame them but not NC.

You cant expect them to just add servers for the sake of it.

when everything goes to the 15% userbase online per server in a couple days/weeks everyone would be  complaining about ghost towns.

it should be free.

the free 30 days as far as i know start after the headstart

Are a couple good solid games from Korea including Aion

might not be your thing but dusnt mean they are not there

They are basicly trying this on all mmo companies not just funcom.

I believe NCSOft is a year in court with them already or a simular case

Considering all the games they axed arent NCSoft made games but published by NCSoft i dont see Aion going anywhere

All NCSoft made games are still going strong even Lineage after 10 years

As the publisher ncsoft i dont see anything wrong with it either, atleast they give companies the change and the fund to try something out of the box. dusnt always work but atleast they tried.

Gorgos here
