SWG for me.... sure I played games since the 80's but nothing hooked me like SWG.

Please with the dated graphics they are running there should be no performance issues I mean Battlefield bad company has destruction and 24 players on a 360 so i'm sure they can do it in this game seeing as they'll be instanced.

Hopefully Mythic arn't as useless as SOE at programming.

I've lived in this country for 20 years...never once seen a commercial for guns.

I was there for 2 weeks and saw tons....

If I want to watch Lost or Family Guy or South Park or The Simpsons (even tho it sucks now) and many many more shows it's like the season/series stops dead quite often and waiting months for a new episode......... That's why the leaked beta shots are low quality and the dev shots aren't.

The game is sooo close to being released by the end of the year and I doubt their time will be going towards making entire new animations and sound and textures... all that stuff was done before and now comes the polish stages and final content + getting servers and services ready. Frigging i've never sen a game this close to laugh change sooo much in the final months and nore will WAR.

I hope they do magic something up and all the videos they're showing are low quality crap but I think to myself why would they show low quality graphics to the public? Wouldn't they show the best they have to offer to impress us and get the hype going?

Some people obviously havn't played quality titles, if you play single player and normal multiplayer games from 2007 and then look at the mmo genre, you wodner why the hell you ever bothered lol. Vanguard is a buggy lackluster mess with a horrible art style and a lack of cotnent or a sub base and yet people subscribe to it because theres obviously hardly anything better in the genre lol. Going to wait to see if developers like Bioware and bethesda can save what once was a genre with a bright future.

One great step towards this is getting rid of John Smedley because he's obviously shown us he can't manage the quality or lack of quality of SOE's titles with every single one of them being a peice of crap. I mean ruining the EQ name and making it a laughing stock because of how they ruined it and then even more hurt to the name was making EQ2.

If the game is good then GREAT! I want a good mmorpg to play but my impressions of everything i've seen so far arn't great. I look at the concept art and it looks sooooo good and then transfered into the game it's like wtf this looks nothing like it...

Watched the latest VOTM and everything about the game screams dated...

- Animations and combat animations are horrible, they remind me of EQ back in 1999.
- Textures are sooo low detailed and lots looked smudged and nasty.
- Polygons everywhere like we used to get back in games like 8 years ago.
- Combat looks sooo slow and dull all they are doing is standing there click on one animation all the time. If you want to imrpess me how about making the combat look fun in the videos?
- The in game soudns from what I heard are just poor and low quality and I just hope I can turn off the bad music and hear ambiant noises instead... you just know they are gonna be as poor.
- Environments are bland and boring... doesn't have that handcrafted feel that WOW does and lacks soooo much detail and just looks horrible and empty like EQ2 does.
- Art style is pretty poor in game, it's again bland....... I see the concept art and it looks AMAZING but frigging look at it in game and looks pretty piss poor.


Frigging the game looks better than from previous years yeah but it's set to ship fall of this year and I just can't see all this changing by the end of the year. I mean frigging if these are the problems I can see and hear then I dread to think how bad and buggy the gameplay is going to be like.


Flame me all you like if you can't take the truth but the game just looks bad and this is a forum and i'm giving my feedback. Most of my friends who arn't hardcore mmo players and have only played games like COD and WOW just say they arn't going to buy the game cause the graphics suck. Frigging most of you say it's not about the graphics but you are confusing technical with artistic and besides the graphics are what you're looking at when playing so you have to like them.

The whole game just screams dated flop from the success everyone thinks it'll have atm, I reckon it'll just have a hardcore crowd of fanbois like 99% of the mmorpgs out there and slowly die like DAOC and most mmorpgs have been doing over the years. Not even Warhammer fans will like it because it just doens't say "Warhammer" to them and the way the game is set out is just DAOC and not Warhammer Table Top like the fans will want. It may have great sales but it wont hold many subs for long and I reckon after te first year it'll have around the average 100-200k subs most seem to have these days.

Aslong as the developers are only allowed to play at home with no powers or special accounts then i'm fine with them playing the game.
