It's all shiny and new at the moment, and I'm well aware that I'd have to have the foresight of a concussed gerbil to expect that feeling to last .. but in the short term, it's fun and, (given that I do have the attention span of a concussed gerbil) .. that's good enough for me. For now.

The ground combat plays like Champions Online; the space combat is surprisingly quite complex and EVE like. I haven't delved too far into the character advancement and stuff, but its skill trees remind me a bit of SWG. Lots of choice there. Also, tribbles.

 

STO kind of caught my eye, but the slew of negative posts just throws up red flag after red flag. I know you cant believe everything you read. But there is some truth behind most posts. I really dont want to give my money away to another money grub attempt while waiting for ffxiv.

While I am not a fan of STO and would be hard pressed to reccomend it, it's an open beta give it a shot maybe you will like it.

All depends on the games, I prefer Shooters,RPG's and MMO's on my PC,  Everything else I tend to play on console. But like others have said I am a gamer if theres a game out there I want to play I play it.

On paid Beta "release" I was arrest and sent to an Iranian prison, on my first day I was ganked by a group of half naked guys with bad breath then over the course of a month repeatedly raped by a tall Greek guy naked. There was nothing to do but fight all day, the only woman I spoke to was my mother over skype telling me to get out of there find a woman and get a job.

I was locked up with about 10k fellow inmates, quarters were spartan and I spent most of my time in my cell sitting on a cold hard bench staring at a bucket of excrement.

For the last 4 years WoW has increased subsrcibers every quater, now with the release of Dark Fall WoW has stagnated!!! Coincidence????????????

It's about time someone stepped up and made a decent game. Stop dwelling on what Darkfall deosn't have yes, and think more about what it DOES have, and the fact that more is added every week.

I mean, does anyone remember early SWG?? No mounts, no vehicles....had to walk literally EVERYWHERE...hardly anything was implemented yet. But we played it anyway, and in time more and more was added, making the game better (at least until CU).

 

Agreed what I really hated about SWG was how they had a limited release and you had to keep hitting F5 over and over to try and get an account......... oh wait sorry my bad anyone who wanted to play that game could.............
