sorry but ya dont get to have your credibility back by saying it must be in bad shape.  you ignored all the clear signs and piggybacked on wild theories because it was popular and sounded cool to call it vaporware.

And it doesnt have to release in a glorious wave of mmo goodness...it just has to have a solid release (stability wise) that is typical of the genre and have most of the features that was stated it would have.  If they say before we put any money into it...hey ships are still in, but cannons need some tweaking and didnt make it, then that hardly makes it a failure because it left out some features.

 

 

I challenge you to find any post I made claiming DF was vaporware.  You won't find one, because I never said it was.  I in my opinion think the devs really wanted to make an excellent game.  But for lack of many things (experience and money among others) they got in over their heads and here is where we are now.

So please don't categorize me.  You just look like a fool.

you have no base for that kind of theory so why dont you give it a rest?

I've always found it odd that nobody I know, nor anyone that they're aware of is in beta.

That's quite unheard of.

I assume that either there is no beta, or there are a very small amount of testers that know how to keep quiet.

ANd yes ive seen bots that cause same stress as real players being used as far as i know it works. alto to do with packet spaming and other stuff not sure on the details (my guess) on what taso meant by ai helping them test along with the playtesters)

Where?  The dev's themselves and a few of their family members?  I'm sorry, that was a bit over the top on my part.  But where is this BETA and where is the latest movie/update that was due out last month and this month?

I honestly can't believe how desperate you vapour trolls are getting.  The beta is only going to be to see if we want to but the game, So stfu and gtfo.

 

Partially right , the Beta will actiually be an open beta. I think they will also allow player a insight before they buy ... A starter island with 10 hours of gameplay . They have always intended an open beta and have stated it will be short unless there are unforseen problems.. if i remember rightly.

That worked wonders for Funcom with AoC. A polished starter area allowing you to level up to level 20 thinking the game was awesome. Then you realize they didn't bother to finish the rest of the game. I can see the same happening with the still-vaporware-in-my-eyes Darkfall. 

nothing been said about a starter island. but if everythign is working on that island why would it matter for the rest of the game world lol

You'll finally see that ME and all the others here you call "trolls" are not actually trolls soon enough when you discover that everything we've been saying has been pretty accurate and that Darkfall is actually a total P.O.S. and another big promise failed by some unheard of small development team.

As I have said, I will be the first to come here and admit if I am wrong about Darkfall. The question now, is where will you run off and hide when/if you are wrong and Darkfall turns up being like the biggest pile of crap mmo ever launched??

I think AudioVisual has a CLAUSE in this agreement that states that they are allowed to test out the product publically before they go ahead and publish it.

Ah, you could well be right. I thought the pilot thing was odd, but put it down to bad translation. But, a testing of the product sounds feasible.

 

Several native greek speakers have confirmed that the text used is the formal wording for 'beta'.

Not sure if that's aimed at me, but I never said it was vapourware. What I have said is that it will be a mess if it does ever release. Oddly enough, the anmouncement of a publisher with no MMO experience hasn't changed my mind on that. 

you seem to forget tasos has stated that it will stay in playtesting as long as it needs too
