Counter-strike, other than that I've been flip-flopping between VG and LOTRO, it would be an easy choice for me if VG had the population. LOTRO just seems too linear for me, and the quests aren't nearly as in-depth as people make them out to be, although I must say the intro quest for the elves got me pumped at the start, because it really was, and it was great to see a bunch of NPC elves fighting beside me.

Blizzard to file suit against gold sellers Peons4hire
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/26/07 4:19:55 PM
Just a thought, but wouldn't all any MMO company have to do is claim that the gold in their game is their intellectual property? If they did that then wouldn't gold selling be considered theft? I don't know, maybe I'm way off the marker here.

I'm sure once all the major bugs get sorted out SOE will put in a trial, but when it happens you'll know... They WILL advertise it everywhere they can, and I hope it happens soon... The only things keeping me from logging into VG right now is a very small population in a very big world and a few annoying glitches that cause the occasional death/headache.

I wish Logitech would make a good mouse that isn't made only for right handers. I play weird and use my mouse with my left hand, and I use the arrow keys to move and the num-pad for hotkeys, but I've yet to see a good multi-button gaming mouse that wasn't for righties only

I had my fun in WoW and quit, it was fun until I got burnt out on it. I haven't spent much time with LOTRO yet, but what I can say so far, is if you want a sandbox experience stay away from this game (its very linear), but because its so linear the quests seem very in depth and make you feel like you're part of the story.

ZBoard ??? keyboard forum for MMOs
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/24/07 8:12:36 PM
Logitech G-15 hands down. 3 sets of 18 programmable macro keys that are interchangable between games, full media control including a volume control wheel, LCD monitor of your CPU/RAM usage with other programs and add-ons for the screen. Many games/mmos have their own screen for the LCD as well, I know at least LOTRO and WoW show health/mana and stats etc. on the screen. Keyboard also has 2 usb slots on it in case you see fit to use em, and a lock switch for the start menu key

Remember The Grand Daddy Of Graphical MMORPG'S?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/22/07 4:13:36 PM
Technically The Realm was first, it had its open beta going for about 5 months before anyone outside of a closed group could play Meridian 59. I loved the game, never did try Meridian 59 though.

Which of These Books on MMO's Do You Recommend?

Sounds like very dull reading material if you ask me, but to each his own...

I feel sorry for non vanguard players...
General Discussion « Vanguard: Saga of Heroes 5/22/07 2:53:45 PM
If you guys hate the game so much why do you troll this section of the board so much? I'm still enjoying the game, and once (if) the bigger bugs get fixed and the population increases some this will be a great game. Even though it largely feels like a single player game to me right now, it feels like a good single player game, and the quests seem to be a lot more thought out than any of the other recent MMOs I've tried playing (save maybe DDO, but that game was garbage regardless).

If you know PCs at all you'll build your own from scratch and save a lot of money. If you don't, you should know someone that does, have him/her help you build one. I'm about ready to build myself a new gaming rig for about $1500 worth of parts/software, something that would easily cost $2500 on a prepackaged tower.
