SoM :$30
Moria i dont know

SoA i think it was $50 at the first release

now you find SoA and Moria boxes for like $5-10

The old Moria/Lorien instances for level 60 is still a part of the end game since they give radiance gear which you need for the DG raid: 2x 3-man instances, 7x 6-man, 2x lair raids and 1x big raid.

Also add skirmishes and scaleable classic instances and you have around 20 more things to run.

And Enedwaith is also an "end game" zone since it's for level 65s.

New raid cluster coming early next year.

there's also a scaleable 12-24 man classic big-raid

Summary: Tibia is more of a social game and is much less action-oriented than modern MMOs. I believe this is why so many get turned off of the game early (along with a fairly steep learning curve.) Scarcity of resources (hunting spots as well as equipment, potions, and runes) forces interaction between players and groups of players. Scarcity leads to interaction, which in turn leads to both bonds of friendship and sparks of animosity which can sometimes culminate in war. Those seeking constantly engaging PVE or PVP will be disappointed. Leveling and gaining skills in Tibia is a grind in the old school sense, only expanded indefinitely because of a lack of skill/level caps. It seems, though, that leveling and skilling (you have to train with other players, again forced interaction, to raise one's skills) are simply a means to an end, not an end itself. Higher skills lead to higher levels which lead to more money with leads to more power, which is really the ultimate goal of guilds and players. The ability to exert one's will in the game, deciding who does and does not prosper on the server, is what ultimately gives players their sense of satisfaction and accomplishment: it is in effect the feeling an Olympian god would feel upon looking down and seeing his/her followers prosper over other gods' followers. In this way, I believe Tibia is a more merciless and realistic "world" than most modern-day MMOs. Every players has a sense that there is a chronological progression from one "age" to the next, an age being the period of time a guild has "possession" of the server, as opposed  to so many MMOs today where one day is indiscernible from the next. One age may be characterized as golden, in which high levels deal with other players fairly and reasonably, the next characterized by the iron grip of the controlling guild, who monopolize hunting spots and force price fixes, which will inevitably lead the lowly players of the world to unite and force the despotic guild off the server.

that's my friend is called powergame which ruins the game

no wall of text can change the fact that Tibia is a slow-paced grindfest full of bots with MUD graphics and gameplay, paradise of powergamers.

Ok here's how it goes.

To add moria key, you need to have SoA key first. You can't add expansion key, without owning the original.

If you're just a free player, then you can purchase Moria throught the in-game menu.

Simple as that.

you can add MoM without SoA in the US version you should be able to do the same on EU

DDO is very group friendly

Lotro too but doesn't force you to group

this guy said something that is very QFT.

"My issues start though with the fact that both Bronze and Silver come with huge restrictions on them that would make it impossible for anyone to play competitively and the necessary upgrades cannot be purchases individually."

SoE offers almost the entire game content for free but with a lot of gameplay restrictions, for exeample you can raid at endgame if you are Free or Silver but can't wear the raid loot, in fact  if you are not Gold no raid for you.

DDO offer only 1/3 of content for free but atleast you can join a Shroud and craft your Greensteel if you bought the Vale Adventure Pack, you don't need do be VIP.

the classes and races are very limited for F2P,DDO have 6 races where 5 are free and 11 classes where 9 are free(counting Favored Soul as Pay because is impossible reach 2500 favor with the free quests)

in fact Bronze and Silver options are extend trial there no way to enjoy the better part of the game without going gold and gold still limited btw(7 char Slots 4 races)

SoE need to rework that F2P system

1-allow silver to buy acess to higher spells tier,Raid gear, and gold limit

2-Remove Platinum membership

3-change Gold membership to give acess to 10 char slots all races + 500 SC month

4-Merge EQ2X with EQ2(35 bucks per char that you want transfer from EQ2 to EQ2X thats a joke right?)

What makes a good community is the game not her price
see DDO.

Why people cant figure that a great F2P game is just a good game and you wont see anything new

the game offer what wow offer with less cotent and a slower combat: quest grind till max level then gear grind

The game have more than 200+ adventures(72 ftp) and 20+ "explorable" areas,  so yea enough to keep you happy for a good time

some dungeons gets boring after few runs but there a lot o adventures that will take time till you get bored

The raids are 12-man and take 1-2+ hours usually, there is about 9-10 raids only 1 is ftp ,and yes requires strategy to kill the bosses and most of then require some kind of trick to defeat then, for example the boss of Tempest Spine require you to solve a puzzle while fighting with him.

When i logged into that game i was amazed at how cheap and dated it looked. There is games i rate very low because they miss many features or just do things far too simplistic

DDO dont have outstanding graphics like AOC but in fact have better graphics than 90% of the MMOs out there.

DDO has Overbright  Bloom,DX10 Shadowing,HD textures,Dynamic Shadows, the models have a high number of polygons.

cant say they are outdated.

Guild Wars is not an MMO, otherwise nice review..

As I mentioned, games like WoW such instancing now in their end game to such a massive level, that it's almost hypocracy to seperate the two. It's simply a question about how much they use it.

Guild Wars has persistent towns and outposts, all character data is logged away on foreign servers and economy is driven by supply and demand, in essence making it player run(even though thats a very shallow way of putting it.. basically the vendor sellers just increase/decrease prices depending on drop consumption and use from players).

Furthermore I wanna pin point that guild wars is running on big unfied shard, where a game like WoW is seperated into many hundreds of individual shards running on their own server. since then there have come cross battlegroups, but its still only a small chunk of people that you are basically competing against, and these are all from your own region.. not that international!? if my name is taken on one server, i just go to a different one. is that massively compared to a game like EVE that is under same one-shard principle? you can walk back and forth with analogies like that...

you have games like Conan and DDO which boosts similiar inter-connecting instancing with MMO that... I honestly thought we were past that.
No, Guild Wars is not a traditional MMORPG(and it doesnt try to be) as it tries to kill many of the very fundaments that are in the genre. but it certainly has some of the traits as seen in MMOs.
MMO games are the only genre of games that are famous for things like persistent worlds and server stored character data. I think these elements take it into a MMO realm.

a few MMORPGs truly allow for thousands of people to interact and play at the same time. I know WoW dont and have seen GMs break up raids and protests in games because of fear of server crash. so what is massively multiplayer anyway? I have tried a Lineage 2 battle with like 1500 people I think... WoW is nothing in comparison. So does that mean WoW is not a MMORPG?
You see my point mate? It's basically just arguing small nit picky semantics about small individual rules which and which not make a game a MMORPG for whatever reason. I sure as hell think its weird when 95% of the acitivitists you do in many MMOs involve heavy use of instancingn(wow being a good example).

but then I will change my statement, to my favorite Online RPG as well. This game has had longer running legs for me now than Diablo 1 and 2 and even Neverwinter Nights(which I also loooooveeeeed)! It's too bad Dragon Age has no online capabillities, but the single player looks amazing!

Wow has an open world Guildwars has an instanced world. Even the creators of GW"s say this game isn't an mmo. It was never designed to be one. Get over it

They sayed it only to create a idea that the game is different from others MMOs(in fact is it but they wanted to give a overhype a marketing, play).

The problem of newb rogues i the fact that they think they are pure dps

and about F2P not being rogues, you mean new player do not create rogues because on DDO they are really specialist.

What essential varies from people to people

some will be happy with some adventure packs other need all the content

Game in fact is Buy 2 Play now but allow you to enjoy some content without pay

Dont feed the wow fanboy troll

stoped after discover that the PVP is pot spamming

Have to say that i loved the PVP/PK system

PK other player will result in reputation lost, after a x amount of negative reputation player will became "Evil" ,giving him a damage and TP boost and allowing him to use some special items and titles at the price of a high risk of drop equips and loot, there 4 ranks of evil:Gelb ,yellow, red and Demon.

Also killing evil players will result in reputation gain and after a x amount of reputation player will became "Good" ,allowing him to wield special items and use titles, gain a HP boost , at price of a low risk drop rate at death, also have 4 ranks:Light blue, blue, purple and Hero.

that create a kind of Faction sytem but with "risk vs reward"

full details here:

www.runesofmagic.com/en/servertype.html

very interesting,innovative thought.

But this is right

the IM should be a shortcut for PVE,or do you prefer items that unbalance the PVP(like PW) or a premium system?

Frogster need make money ,if you can't live with the fact wich somebody who have money can get 50/50 in 2 months and you in 3 so stop playing.

be happy if the fact wich a noob with a credit card can't pwnt your head off in PVP

gamersfirst.com/

quick question im trying to acess the site to create an acc,but im getting "cannot dysplay page"on IE and "cant find server gamersfirst.com" on FF
