I agree. It's totally my fault that software publisher's spent the last 5 years copying off eachother and offering nothing new and original. It's my fault that I don't want to play the same video game for 5 years. It's my fault that between John Smedley, Lord British, Brad McQuaid (and all the others who published an mmorpg in the past 4 years) that there's about as much creative talent as a cockroach swimming in a septic tank between them all. I agree. My bad.

I place the blame of the gold and powerleveling problems squarely on the developers for making games that people would rather pay somebody else to play than play it themselves. Think about it.. If the game was truly fun, you would want to play it yourself. I don't outsource sex.. well because its good.. But I do outsource my tax returns, landscaping and oil changes.... and sometimes MMORPG leveling. |

Wow, weird. I was looking to see who linked in to me and saw this thread (sorry for the necro, but I never saw this one before). It really wasn't a rant since I think when you rant, you usually have some sort of stance your taking or point you're trying to defend. It was more just humorous nonsense about the never ending "WoW Killer" debate that just doesn't seem to go away. I moved my blog here recently, so you can see my latest rants :) Was a good read to see everyone's input. |

We were talking about eating habits people have while playing games.. Like consuming insane amounts of caffinated beverages, favorite game snacks? I'd like to see what other people's gaming eating habits are.. whether you have some quirky thing you do , or know a guild mate who does something out there, like always eating bbq ribs during a raid :)
