Starting to get the hang of things. Noticed lack of npcs after the lvl 146 area. Got my mechs at 151/119/117 Made two nice war core 0 ,but didnt know about being able to combine cores for stats so discard the third war core 0 I made ,but hey live and learn. I've seen a few places that require 500k to enter aside from the c and d green dungeon areas. Any advantage to these areas? Or should I avoid them for along time until I have enough money to fit the bill on those regions? I'm getting to a point where I can one hit some lvl 167 enemies, are there enemy units beyond that without paying 500k to fight them? i swear if I didn't play Tetris as a kid this game would be horrible for me. People said that playing Tetris would get me nowhere. Shame on them haha. Any other stuff I should know? I probably missed a few features while speeding through things. |

Haha wish I saw this sooner. Already got that third unit to 65 or so. Mentor experience and space mission for the win there. I'll try buying them in the future. As for sapphires for now been converting them to rose whenever I can and keeping only the min for cap. Going to bed for now, but tomorrow I'll tryout that area you were talking about. Also, working on making a zero core. Is that combining all the cores I have and giving it their stats? Or is it randomized? Also, having to keep any unique or elite stuff I get for my other two arms so defiantly have to be alert and think in more than one aspect when playing this game which keeps me interested. |

Haven't tried out that green planet. Apparently, drops there are rather nice, but stayed the normal course and powered myself up to 145 for the third arm. People keep bugging me to trade them an elite hp module really want to strangle them when they can't take no for an answer. The exchange rate for crystals really helps out a bunch when concerning the cap system. Which defiantly diverted from the norm on the eudemons comment. As for games I never quit a game cause I can't grasp it. I usually quit it because I get too far too quickly and run out of things to do, or something better comes along. For now Zero has my attention, still wish my tank mode could hover or something~ Well atm my ingame name is kinda obvious Zeik on moon server. Potency well lets not go there its a little under 500 >.>; I seriously think they added the whole potency scene to take some edge away from power buyers when it comes to the whole skill vs money thing. Anyways, I'll probably see you in game just wish my weapon mastery would level quicker starting to hate buying those mastery tablets. |

Your tactic of run is way over rated.... Someone pked me.I came back...They pked me again. Repeated this process since I wasn't dropping anything of value. Guy goes purple and runs away. Second person same thing happens only they get red. I start attacking them, they don't fight back and start running. Long story short I end up killing them grabbing a few items and running lol... Potency doesn't seem to matter as much as persistence. I can see why people would quit the game for being player killed. They die once get riled up. It happens maybe a few more times by the same or different people and they quit out of anger or not putting their rares in the main arm they were using at the time. I'm still a little confused my mentor logged yesterday, but I stayed online still had his potency up until server was rebooted. Started recruiting students as well... Can see that people become deadbeat mentors for the free experience. They really should implement some sort of system where if your mentor Isn't on for x amount of hours that you can leave for no penalty or a reduced penalty and a waiting period. Almost into the 130's so going to toy with the cap system soon. Have a feeling its like Eudemon's pet system to some degree. |

Anyone who spends tens of millions of dollars to make a video game...

The complexity of a game doesn't bode well when the company itself can't entice people to keep playing. It's not just the genre at play here. The ability to properly manage a game can also make or break it. Now we all know WoW's customer service at times wasn't very "helpful" ,but things like constant patches and the expansions they have started to throw out have covered that weakness. Where as with a game that sets up an item mall and an all too common template has an even worse position on customer service by either neglecting or just using people who have a very little grasp of English as their GM's. it makes me wonder sometimes if the people backing these games really know what they are doing at all. Or if its more of those things where you see a company launch a couple of mmorpgs back to back in a six or so month span hoping to find one that will be the next big thing. I really don't expect much from these other companies in the next years to come. But, I do expect to see a rise in the lesser graphics games where they can do something new even if it isn't as spectacular compared to the big name games. Awhile back I found a nice game that diverted from the normal. But, it was faced with poor management, lack of updates, and an item mall that charged 60+ dollars for certain items and 100 for thirty day gold paint >.>; Next time someone makes a game even if they want to make the game different from others atleast give them some common sense when it comes to how they expect to get a profit off the game. Also, for kicks once that Dragonball Z mmorpg comes out I'm so playing it for an odd change of pace haha. |

Given the fact that I'm new think I'll avoid fighting altogether for now and work on getting an edge. I reviewed your previous topic, but a few things I need to ask you. When you die will you lose experience? When you die to a player without any sort of fighting back do they get pk points, or are there maps where no penalty applies? If your fleet is an enemy of another fleet and they kill you do they still get penalized? As for the arm system sounds rather interesting. Game just went flatline for me when I was about to get 90 haha. Was wondering why no one bothered trying to pk me when I went nuts in xp mode. Well now I know they cant bean me til I get to 100. As for pking and being pking thats not something that will ever drive me out of a game unless the game is boring to begin with then thats a different story. I'd rather throw myself at a person make them red or black name and let their gear get divided up among other people. |

Hmmm a few games come to mind that may or may not be for you. Ragnarok online can be either heavy pve oriented or pvp oriented depending on if you want to go that route. It's a monthly fee based game with an item mall etched in now. But, on the Ragnarok side you might be best waiting for the sequel sure it will be very similar in terms of the dynamics of its predecessor Although, with the countless games I've played very few are light on pvp and can last in the long haul. People strive to fight one another and that tends to keep things interesting and players continuing with the game. As with Lineage 2 it's far easier to avoid getting dragged into the whole pvp thing as long as you're respectful of others. Seen way more people explode on eve for a variety of colorful reasons( maybe its the atmosphere who knows) Back when I played City of Heros+Villains the pvp was kinda light there. People weren't much opted to fight unless someone sucker punched them. As for the majority of whats out there well you know the drill. Can come crumbling down or drag on with the same old same old for months until its updated, or bugs fixed. Seems like the p2p games are the better way to go nowadays. |

Went the other day and started up a character. The lag in the main area isnt that bad can be a little sluggish. The lag in the actual game seems very minimal or non-existent unless maybe I'm lucky. Getting into a fleet seems rather easy and the amount of help a fleet can give in terms of information on the one I joined opened up a few other doors to things like space missions and getting other more detailed info that the website lacked... The main downside I encountered was the mentor system. All seemed well first day I was leveling guy was one. Day two doesn't appear, day three doesn't appear. Have to wait 3 days and pay 500k to get rid of him, but by then I'll probably be a moderate level to not care about having a mentor. Aside, from the mentor business the one thing that did bother me was when you encounter a rather large enemy you seem to instantly lock onto him and attack him even if you don't want to attack him. Also, retreating from a large scale enemy can be difficult unless you click on specific areas. Not sure if anyone else has this problem, or how to avoid it but isn't that much of a problem at this time. As for now lvl 84 will pop up to 100 tonight or tomorrow depending on time frame so I'll throw some more information on the game as I play through it. Just wish my mentor wasn't such a deadbeat...hahaha |

I'm thinking of trying this game but I have some questions
General Discussion « GoonZu Online 2/19/08 2:16:18 AM
Hmmm wonder if that person you're referring to is Milo heh. Goonzu is a decent economic base game. Although, what made me quit was when they switched versions and removed all our old summons. My poor lvl 120+ death messenger went bye bye. Seems the game has gotten a bit of improvements since the last time I looked it over. Farming actually works now! Anyways, this game is very strong with its auction house. If you can play it right and control the market you can easily have enough money to start a decent crafter. Wonder if they still have that fun little puzzle game whenever you craft something? |

If you are a major fan of the old school console rp games then myth wars is for you up until a point. The random encounters are nice, and the fighting system isn't that bad..... However, there are encounters where you will need multiple people. During when I played I had trouble getting people to help me with quests that advanced the plot. Where as high level people would try to run me through a quest I already did for their own personal benefit. In the long run this game is best to play in short bursts. It's a nice game to play for a change of pace , but I can't see myself playing it for a steady 6+ hours on any given day without wanting to hit someone or something. So, if you are okay with playing this game on a casual basis then I recommend downloading it. If you on the other hand want a game that you can immerse yourself in this isn't the game for you. Also, word of the wise a number of people ingame + on this forum suggested to avoid the item mall altogether as it has a way of evaporating your money on specific items. |

I'm not sure how much of conquer has changed since I played back in the day.... But, two things make this game. The power buyers and luck of the draw on pking red/black names with good gear or slotting equipment with mets(if all that is still possible) Back when I played there wasnt any of these cheaters that you guys talk of now.... Kinda sad to see this game has gone down the drain but it took them forever to even update the game so I'd imagine they will be around for along time before anything definite is done to them. Or to a point where the cheating is halted. Sucks though conquer used to be a really nice game a few years back. Guess TQ finally got way too lazy for their own good and let the game rot. |

The reason people will play... Won't be for supreme graphics or for a new mmo trend. Fact is I can safely say regardless of where I play this game and how much time has changed there will always be something new to it. I can't say the same for a majority of mmorpgs I've played that are still around. I might see one or two new maps in another game but two things are usually constant. The player base dwindled dramatically from when I first played, and theres no real reason for me to continue playing. While with ragnarok they are still expanding. Take for instance the Infinity(endless) tower. Or the next set of classes they are planning to release over this next year. Most games are run by companies who only run the right to operate the game and update when they are given the green light. With Ragnarok depending where you play this isn't a problem. Hell how many games that are mmorpgs can you safely say had their own anime, have their own mini side scroller offline game and a number of other spin offs based on a great game. Sure you may get bored after a few months of playing and put it on the shelf, but hey down the road you will know theres changes to the game given the flow of updates and gladly pick it up again for awhile to see whats new. So, yeah this game is worth downloading especially if its your first time playing RO. Just hope RO2 turns out to be as good as the first. |

I'm going to tryout Zero in the near future when I'm bored... But, if you are a die hard mech fan from what I've been told about Zero is that the community is pretty solid. Where as AoA is losing people constantly due to lack of content and high prices in the item mall. Is Zero really that bad though? What kind of flaws does it have? Just graphics problems, or are there difficulties with controls and other concepts to the game? |
|
|
I've played this game for along time before quitting with a lot of other people. One of my friends jokingly made this checklist about AoA. If you can say yes to all these then this game is for you. Are you ready to make an army of alts and do Exotic planet 7+ times a day (estimated 3-7 hours) to catch up to the big boys???? |
