Either dinosaurgirl or the guy filling in for her. In either case thats pretty funny haha. Meanwhile playing eq2 and on msn balancing all the positive and negative stuff about age of conan with some people , might be trying that out soon.

This game has been taking money from people for months..... This website has AoA as a final project aka already out. Now either mmorpg is off their game which I doubt. Or Snail is bsing people to try and cover up for their mistakes. Any company that uses the open beta cash shop tactic isn't a real beta anymore. Otherwise people are paying money for something that could be wiped at anytime which makes zero sense. Why would a person spend several hundred or even thousands of dollars for a possibility that they could lose what they have spent money on from a wipe. Therefore under that logic this game has been out for along time. Other companies have done this before to, for perhaps investment reasons who knows. besides I doubt may 20th will change the course this game has taken.

edit- What I say is based on age of armor and its ability to fail. I can not give any positive or negative comments on age of conan until I play it.

This game is released.... A game can't be classified as a beta while openly taking money from people. Also, this website registers this game as a final project so that excuse for their failure doesn't hold water. They've had that cash shop up for months, ample time to "release" the game.

You know a game is bad when they have to try and give people back cash shop credit to try and get them to spend more. You also know a game is bad when you are told that if they don't make a specific amount of money that the game will either shut down or need new management next month. If this game was so grand how come more people aren't playing it? Whats the excuse this time. Not enough publicity?

What I find amusing is how people try to say AoA is a beta.... You pay real money for items in a game. Although, some companies have done that and used the beta as a shield to protect them from all the bugs and problems. While they take your money freely it by no means that the game is a beta. Even this website has classified AoA as a final/released stage game. Fact is this game is and will continue to fail. Maybe it's Snail to blame. Maybe it's the game itself to blame, or perhaps a combination of things. But, to try and lie to people and say that this game is one big fun time is cruel and unusual punishment for the masses. This game was fun at a time before they gutted it major and made a lot of changes to screw over new players. Maybe they fixed it now months later...I could not keep one of my mmorpg gaming buddies in AoA while I played it. Now most games have a huge surge of people in closed beta and then whittle down to about 25% of the that crowd in open. For AoA not sure how many played, but if 25% was 30 or so constant players then someone dropped the ball somewhere. AoA in the us/eu region will never be booming with players under its current management. As time goes by and more mmorpgs spring up the remaining players that game has will slowly jump ship.... The one main thing that will always keep AoA down is that unless you commit yourself to making 20+ accounts to farm recons everyday in the same dungeons you will never be able to fight with the veterans. Not to mention using the item mall...Heard they finally did a small cut to the shop prices.....lol... In closing Snail isn't that bad a company when it comes to their other games. But, the red headed stepchild they left in charge possibly killed AoA.

Interesting, I'll have to look into that more in the future why the Japanese version failed. Chances are there are far better mech oriented games released in that region and it couldn't survive. Where as here the only real competition a mech mmo has is a third rate game like aoa, a semi decent for a month game like zero, and exsteel which I've yet to try so can't really comment on that yet. The falling out of that server will most likely strengthen the player base on the one opening in the NA/EU region, but hey only time will tell. Fact remains aoa is one of the worst mmos out there. The people running this Gundam mmorpg would have to try real hard to be worse than aoa....

heh gst saw on the aoa forums you were taking another break from the game. Must not of improved that much if people are dipping out for exsteel and air rivals. As for playing a game with 300-400 people scale that down to 30-75 in aoa. Most games tend to make on or two mistakes off the bat and fix them over time. With this game you could literally spend a week worth of playing trying to find out where the devs went right. They can't keep events working, and I'm sure theres a lot of other problems. But, hey keep the faith til this gundam mmorpg comes out then abandon ship haha.

I'm still waiting for the UCGO (gundam mmorpg) to go into open beta and restore my faith in mecha mmo's after playing such a watered down game like aoa. To be honest the only people who will say this is a good game are the people from the company. While those few players who have spent lots of money in the cash shop have no choice , but to believe the game is good. The game excelled in China and thats wheres I recommend you play the game if you really must to see it in a better aspect .(content wise) Whats even worse is the vip account reward they are giving away is pretty much stuff you could of gotten from the start. Until they made all those changes to gimp players... ...

I can remember back in the days when I beta tested for ragnarok online. We got little feedback and if something major happened and a rollback was coming we'd literally be told the day before it happened or even with less time. Heck no one was sure what was going to happen when they shut the game down for three months after open beta. But, I think people shouldn't expect the royal treatment in every mmorpg they test. Some companies have different ways of handling things. Although, I'd rather be left in the dark and have problems fixed in secret than be told everything and watch month by month as obvious bugs remain in game. Newsletters and videos each month are great and all , but if a company can't get things done they shouldn't waste time on trying to throw a smoke screen up by dazzling people with information and flashy videos. As for the general mmorpg gamers I think they got spoiled off games with a large assortment of quests, and easy access to information on how to complete said tasks long before companies ever started this new trend of keeping people informed.

The worst part is that one of those arrogant players was recently made a gm. also, apparently a few of them are throwing a tantrum on their forums about spending a lot of money and not getting special transformation modules.... Have no clue what games are coming to, but with the recent set of failures I've seen in f2p games I went back to a good old p2p game where problems are few and far.

To be honest a lot of people will say a lot of different things on the net to impress people in a game atmosphere. I tend to take things with a grain of salt unless I really know the person. As for myself I'm in no way an old school gamer haha. I had stuff like the sega master system, atari, and nintentdo XD. As for mmorpgs I think muds like dragon realms and gemstone III were kinda a gateway into mmorpgs for me.(granted that the sub fees for DR has gone up since its days on the msn gaming zone) As for being hardcore I would have to consider that someone who can go into a f2p game not spend a dollar and compete with the people who do drop money. Or the guy who can level for nights on end and not end up like the little Korean boy who died leveling in EQ. Now I have no problem with people saying they are old school for the sake of it...But, when they want to throw their opinion in to something where an actual dev is going to take their information into account because of that claim....Then thats when I get annoyed. If you want to pretend thats fine. But, for the love of god avoid trying to give input on stuff you never did!

Have yet to lag when playing ArchLord. Have been randomly disconnected and pked silly when I was lvl 1-7 which is kinda funny. Seen a few small bugs here and there ,nut maybe they become more recurring as the game progresses. Game is worth trying out. Not sure if it's a keeper at the moment,. Time will tell, but atleast with this game you don't have to maintain every skill known to man as you go along hahaha...

haha if they're just 54 now then I've been 55 for a long time way beyond a month's scope of inactivity. I am not big on giving a game a second chance unless theres some major overhaul. Granted I could of went and made tons of accounts and did exotic planet until I was blue in the face to obtain even more power.....But, at the end of the day I'd rather face off against several hundred different opponents instead of the same handful of people week in week out. AoA  isn't a grind game it's more like a job. I could log in do my quests in under x amount of hours log out and go catch a movie or play another game. granted I had more quests at my disposal and I had my routine down pretty precise after awhile, but there was no drive to go for the last few levels. Granted now there is going to be some updates next month, but a lot of problems are still there and those will take even more time to sort out. Meanwhile lot of up and coming games on the horizon for me to tinker with see a few new things seen a lot of features that well normal(which isn't good unless its controls mind you) As things stand there are a lot of games that are nothing more than shells. However, most of these shells retained players....AoA managed to lose most of its players one way or another and it gambling on this latest update to get things done. Maybe it will work out for them maybe it won't , but AoA had its chance to impress me with something new and that time has passed. It was fun while it lasted. Sides the funniest part of that game was the insane cash shop prices for such a small community. They might as well try and sell you a hot dog for 15 dollars in the middle of a food court. Anyways, gst I really hope AoA gets better for you. I did warn you to bail before you became too invested in the game. I hope for your sake snail doesn't take one to two months to sort out any and all bugs this new update may generate(then take even longer to try and fix them...... haha.)

Surprised how people can badmouth a game before even at least playing it for a small amount of time. Videos tend to be mis-leading. I've seen games with outstanding videos then you get into the actual game and it's nothing like what they showed. So, yeah 200 keys maybe a tad small but hey until I play this game can't really say anything good or bad about it.

AoA lacks content and a real gm staff.... After all this time they finally got one gm being stationed in game from what I've seen when browsing their forums. Never played a game where hard work leveling=useless. They still don't have chapter 2 yet..... Aoa has no real community for a reason. Unrealistic item mall prices and lack of updates so don't put me grinding as the soul reason for me quitting that game. As for zero I played it as well was an okay game but now that I got my new pc tinkering with stuff like Requiem and Rohan. As for aoa it was going nowhere when I quit months ago, and its nudged slightly as time has elapsed. Snail pays more attention to some of its other games (as it should because those games generate far more players)

next thing you know people will be complaining about not being able to play Korean mmorpgs without a KSSN..... As things stand with Cabal that main incident happened along time ago. Unless you are referring to a newer one then people fail for not learning their lesson the first time. This has been going on for along time, however I know of at least one company that was able to fight off an ip ban despite it being in their agreement. Risk Your Life aka ryl Malaysian version had US players on it. At the time I joined I had no idea about the US version in the works. Long story short the US version tried to enforce the ip ban on the MY server. Players protested and with a loophole was able to ensure that they stayed there. It isn't about racism, or where you were born. it's about  the almighty dollar. Just take this experience as a learning experience. Next time do a little research when you play a game thats overseas. BTW, I played JP Rohan they ip banned me after a day cause I lived in America haha. Least they have the right idea to take care of it quickly before I got too invested in it. Anyways, good luck in the future and seriously European mmorpg companies aren't monsters out to deprive you of a gaming experience. It's more likely the parent companies that are making regional contracts to begin with!

Yeah, figured out the gear swap unique 15 points elite 70 points. Patch has made gameplay pretty annoying in town , but not so much so out in the field. In a squad , but never really do anything with them haha. The lvl 180 area I can survive but have nothing aside from xp skill to one shot enemies. Closing in on 160 now but seems leveling is kinda slow now and no real npcs for 156+ turn ins. Learned a little bit about the reborn system seems like its easier to make 170 the second time around , but not 100% sure on that. All in all not a bad game.

What makes a game bad differs from person to person. A lot like graphics to go with their mmorpg experience. Some don't mind and would rather have more complex feature and have downgraded effects to the game. I can't say if elf is a good or bad game given the fact that I haven't taken the time to play it.... Therefore if people are saying it's a bad game and they are playing it then they are entitled to it.... But, if they are merely looking at pictures and being discontent by the fact that it's not another Lineage type graphics game thats pretty silly. As for the reviews of this game.... reviews are meant as a sort of neutral approach to understanding the game. They cant tell you everything, nor tell you how you the player will react to the game. I mean hey if graphics mattered as much as people say then why are games like runescape, maplestory, dofus, and a few others still up and running? Although, I do find the description the game gives itself to be a little overdrawn.. Lets fight the evil darkness blah blah blah. Note to whoever wrote that change it and make it something more appealing!

Starting to get the hang of things. Noticed lack of npcs after the lvl 146 area. Got my mechs at 151/119/117 Made two nice war core 0 ,but didnt know about being able to combine cores for stats so discard the third war core 0 I made ,but hey live and learn. I've seen a few places that require 500k to enter aside from the c and d green dungeon areas. Any advantage to these areas? Or should I avoid them for along time until I have enough money to fit the bill on those regions? I'm getting to a point where I can one hit some lvl 167 enemies, are there enemy units beyond that without paying 500k to fight them? i swear if I didn't play Tetris as a kid this game would be horrible for me. People said that playing Tetris would get me nowhere. Shame on them haha. Any other stuff I should know? I probably missed a few features while speeding through things.

Haha wish I saw this sooner. Already got that third unit to 65 or so. Mentor experience and space mission for the win there. I'll try buying them in the future. As for sapphires for now been converting them to rose whenever I can and keeping only the min for cap. Going to bed for now, but tomorrow I'll tryout that area you were talking about. Also, working on making a zero core. Is that combining all the cores I have and giving it their stats? Or is it randomized? Also, having to keep any unique or elite stuff I get for my other two arms so defiantly have to be alert and think in more than one aspect when playing this game which keeps me interested.
