Well, so far so good. I have looked at this game for a long time and contemplated playing it. Now, as i sit here bored and wanting to try a new game i think this is the way for me to go. I am a casual player so taking a few months to level is perfect for me. It gives me the opportunity to get to know the game at my own pace. Thanks for the info! |

I too have ended my WOW subscription about six months ago right after my son was born. Besides not really having time to play a whole lot, WOW just kind of lost it's fun. Same thing happened to my wife. We played together constantly for hours and then one day it just seemed boring. I have now managed to cram a few hours of free-time into my daily schedule at the end of every night and i am back into playing some of the f2p mmo's a used to play. I would have to recommend Rohan as a good game to play. Its f2p so it's not as polished as some would like but for what it's worth this is a damn good game. Don't forget that everybody has their own opinions so i'm sure there are going to be people who respond and say it sucks or whatever... it's gonna happen with every game. Another game to check out is Rappelz. Its a fun fantasy based game with a neat pet system. Nice environments and scenery add to the juicy goodness of the game. You should also check out Zero Online, Godswar, Metin 2, Shaiya, Requiem, and Archlord. They are all pretty good and they have their share of pro's and con's. The main person you should be listening to is you. Allow people to suggest games for you to try and then YOU be the final judge about which ones you like or don't like and why. Hope this has helped and good luck finding that one game! |

I truly disagree with the op. Rohan is actually quite a neat game. Sure the servers are a little empty at times but the game makes up for that in content, graphics and playability. Cash shop prices are a little up there and the grind towards the higher levels is kind of steep but this game makes it easy to level when you find the right spot with the right mobs to kill. This game is worth the download to anyone curious about it. |

I was interested in playing this game a few months back when i first heard about it. the story seems cool and the a few of the environments look neat but thats not enough to actual download the game. i dont mind "cartoony" graphics and i dont mind grinding too much but this game kind of seems like there is no depth t it... which actual kind of sucks. are there things like kick-ass, rare weapons (that not alot of other players have) you can get for killing some super hard boss? rare enemies that you can hunt down for massive amounts of xp? anything other then pvp? |

free server? awesome! . i thought about playing RO on one of those "illegal" servers before but i have never got around to it. maybe now with this free deal ill check it out. Only downside is the difference with item costs and drop rates from a paid account to a free account.... some of the costs friggin skyrocketed! very neat looking game though. i should give it a try and see what its all aboout. |

My bad lol i forgot to include the name of the game... duh. I did a little more research and found that the game is Gate to Heavens (www.gtheu.com). It looks as if its a 3d fantasy game, more on the newer side of the F2P mm market. Im pretty sure its european too. The site stated that due to hackers and bugs the servers are down but everything is being worked on to provide a better gaming experience i.e. new servers, website, anti-hacker software, etc. I couldnt find when the game will be active again but im hoping it actually will be open for play sometime. The website isnt fully completed yet so information is sparse. Im just wondering if anyone has played it or heard of it prior to the rework and if so, is it worth the download? Im always interested in new games so any pros and cons would help. thanks in advance. Oh yeah, sorry for the lack of the name previously and the nil information. |

I found this game about a month and a half ago and i never really followed up because i have been busy with my other games. The screens looked good and the concept sounded pretty neat, from what i remember. Have any of you played it before? If so, is it good? If you can, fill me in a little bit. Thanks |

You could try Angels Online. Its a good game and its not too hard to pick up and get into. The only major downside is the translation... its not that bad all the time but some of the conversations that come up with NPCs are kind of confusing. if you can get passed that hurdle then youre good to go. |

Well, to each his own. |

The first game that got me hooked was Genso Suikoden for the ps1. One of the best rpgs ever. Before that was some sega game... i think *think* it might have been one of the Shining Force games. Buck Rogers for pen and paper games! |

Ok... im looking for a F2P mmo (graphical quality means nothing) that for once has A LOT of DIFFERENT armor and weapons. I need a game that doesnt have tons of clones wandering about the virtual reality world, constantly wondering if thats themselves they see to the left... or the right... or over there in the corner... i just want some more diversity. You know, a game where you can loot sometimes a rare piece of equipment that you dont see everywhere you turn. If anyone can help me out with a game where you dont buy an armor set at level 10, wear it until lvl 15, buy the next highest set in a few more lvls and so on, that would be great. Equipment is actually one of the main things i look for when i decide to try out a new game. Killer weapons, awesome armor sets, dungeon raiding yeilding some of the games best equipment... this stuff, to me, is what helps make a game. So if anything is coming to mind let me know.

Rohan is most definately a grind fest. Besides that, the game has some of the best graphics of any F2P mmorpg ever. Overall, the community is kind of sparse with other players, not necessarily a bad thing for some people but its sure to hurt other players will to play. I have a few charcters on the Torian server and everyday i see new people coming (and going) onboard, slowly but surely the game is growing with more and more people joining every day. This game almost certainly deserves any mmo players time... at least for a few levels.

You could check out Skyblade. I have never played it but it looks like it resembles Diablos point and click gameplay along with some old school graphics. You never know what you'll get these days when it come to mmo's... you may be surprised. If you do play, let me know what you think of it please. |

All in all Rohan is a great game, for what its is. It is definately a grind fest and some of the quests have a bad habit of giving crap experience making the leveling process a little bit tedious. I havent participted in the township battles yet, i have actually only begun to scratch the surface of this game, maybe putting around 50-60 hours in it total. One of the major pluses is the music, the soundtrack to this game is outstanding. Vibrant beats provide the right thing to get you pumped up in battle while also creating a nice atmosphere for exploring the beautifully rendered landscapes. Lush forests, creepy, murky swamps, shimmering coasts... some of the views are absolutely breathtaking. Combine that with sweeping scores of orchestrated wonder and you have something great. But music and pretty worlds cant be everything that makes a game what it is. Like i said previously, Rohan is truly by all means a grind fest. The 4x XP multiplyer makes gaining those high levels easier to a degree but you still spend countless hours fighting the same mobs, which by the way look very good too (except for the annoying Rigals). Now as the game progresses you travel from area to area completing quests for useful and sometimes useless items and xp. Standard mmo faire. As for endgame content, that is something i have yet to experience first hand. I have seen videos of gameplay and future boss fights so i am excited to delve deeper into the game. Rohan Online is worth a shot to anyone, i believe. But like any game there are going to be some who like it and some who dont. Take the plunge, download the game and give it a few hours of your time. Hopefully you wont be disappointed. |

Yeah a little information on when we can actually get our hands on this game would be nice. It looks good, nice bloom effect on the screens and the water glare is inticing but... maybe some shots of character choices or something too. Definately keeping my eyes on this one. |
