You can say for sure that Starcraft is a big hit in Korea. Did you knew they even broadcast Starcraft matches in the malls. So if you're buying a pair of socks you can look at the live report of some korean starcrafter. Guild wars is a very popular game aswell in korea and japan. If you look at the top guilds you will notice alot of Japanese/Korean guilds in the rankings. Korean people also love asian grinders. I would say these three are the most popular: Scions of Fate, Maplestory, Fly for Fun. Korean people just love doing brainless stuff.

I would say LOTRO. It's a solo-friendly game, and I don't think Raid have to be made. So you can just go on your own and kill some mobs here and craft some items there. Great game and it really looks like something for you. You can also give EQ2 a try. And there are some good F2P mmorpg's that don't require heavy raiding!

it looks like a decent game to me although I am afraid this just be one of those many asian grinders. Only if you take a look at those graphics the game looks like a grinder. The game has a decent races->jobs->skills system if I just look at it but I don't think that will be enough to to take label: Grindfest off of this game.

The games doesn't really features something really new to the mmorpg genre.

GTA IV destroys the brains of my kids. It make them agressive, my kids don't eat their meals anymore they attack other kids !

Now that might be the reason why there is a 18+ certificate on the game ! +Dummy

This idea has been in my head aswell for a long time! A world where in people don't just have to push the buttons 1-9 to activate their skills but a world where in you got to place your skills in time by making crazy combo's. You would still have a level but it would be of a small import a level 1 would be able to kill al level 70. Your power would be decided by the armour you wear and by the way you use your skills. In that world I would really like to role-play.

It lookes to me you should start playing WoW. It's very casual, there are many friendly guilds out there. When you are going for a raid in WoW you must be able to trust your teammates so teamwork is crucial. The economics in WoW are very intresting aswell and due the auction house it's very easy to earn some money just by merchanting.

So it looks to me WoW is the perfect game for you ! Give it a try !

Are you saying Jade Empire was a bad game. Because I really have to say I really enjoyed the storyline wich was very intriging and made me play the game over and over again. The combat system I thought was pretty good aswell. No more clicking and waiting but you now were really active in the battle wich made it very intresting for me. So if you are trying to say JE was a bad game, you're wrong !

You could give Rappelz a try. In my opinion this is one of the best communitied f2p mmorpg. RAppelz is created by gpotato who already made flyff and other mmorpgs. Mabinogi is a great F2P game aswell. Many people expect it to be the best new f2p mmorpg of the year sou you might want to give mabinog a try aswell !

FOr the one billlionst time blizzard announced quite a while ago they wouldn't be making any more MMORPGs based on their current games. You should really  look at some sources before saying something on this forums.

It seems to me you have tried every game possible out there. You should wait on the new generation of MMO's coming out soon. Games like AoC and WAR, DarkFall, etc. There are some promosing games coming out soon so you just got to have a bit of patience!

I think GW has a better Group vs Group PvP. But if you like that kind of mmorpg(PvP) guildwars really is your game. It's is ofcourse Pvp based. Instead of L2 that is more RPG based.

It is still the best looking MMO on the market imho as well.

I'm pretty glad GW2 will be more like the regular MMORPGs like WoW. But if GW2 wants to keep it's current community it should keep the game free2play and they should also put the ingame's focus on PvP, what is one of the best feature of GW1. But I'm pretty sure NC studios will make a great game oif the there new GW episode !

World of Warcraft is just another "type" of mmorpg. Normally you have to grind for quite a long time before you get to the level cap. In WoW you didn't had to grind that much. Wich is a good thing. In Guild Wars it is just the same but even more faster. You can get your account to the lvl 20 cap and get the best gear out their in 1 weekend if you want!

This features just make it very nice to play a MMORPG. This kind's of MMORPG just focus alot more on eng-game content the the formal generation of MMORPGs!

So you are saying we shouldn't care wich game is best. So why don't I go start playing an asian grinder then if we shouldn't care wich game is best!

The first thing I wanted to say that it's pretty stupid that you want to buy a MMORPG when you are just going to solo in it! Why don't you just buy a regular RPG then, there are many great RPGs that you can play at the moment. To name a couple: Jade Empire, Fable: The lost Chapter, ...

But you wanted a solo'able MMORPG. World of Warcraft is probably one of the best solo'able game online. Everquest II is pretty good aswell if you like solo'ing! There are alot of F2P games aswell that are aimed at soloing players like you. It shouldn't be hard to find one !

I hope you enjoy your 22 inch LCD monitor. I got a 19 inch monitor and I really love it. It's not to big(although a bit bigger would be perfect) and it isn't to small either. Having a big monitor offers you many advantages when playing games, especially FPS like Counter Strike, Call of Duty,... Then everything looks bigger so it's way easier to notice an enemy walking by. A big moniter has it's downside aswell, when playing bad games on graphical field, you will see every single pixel and that really starts annoying.

I agree when you say those games look like each other but that doesn't mean those games are the same ! The game has a other combat system, PvP system and many other things that difference from WoW.

Reason why those games look so much like each other is that Warcraft III and Warhammer had the samegraphical style when they were just RTS's.
