The first thing I do with every character I make in any game is leave OOC. :)  The best place for asking/answering questions in this game is the advice channel anyway, so OOC isn't really necessary.

Once you get to level 30-32ish head to Evendim.  As many of us can testify, there are no boars in Evendim

There's more killing of wights, brigands, and other humaniod types.  Also, around these levels you can start working on gaining faction for different groups if you want. 

I'm looking forward to Rohan.   They could add new faction mounts.  Maybe even ones that are swifter than the regular mounts.

We were level 33 and 34 champions, took us about an hour and a half, of course that's stopping for every mining node on the way ^^  The quests were still  white/dark blue to us.  I probably will equip the armor as cosmetic too, haven't decided yet.  I really like the stats/look of the set of forest armor I got from the Trollshaws.  The stats are definitely better on those.

Do you mean 7 base quests?  The quests we did branched off 1 into 3 and so forth, there were about four sets of those plus some branching stuff.

Just got my hunter to level 20 and undying so I know all about the fear of defeat!  Those last two levels are the worst.  Good luck on your guardian :)

I've noticed a lot of quests added in.  I like also that you don't have to repeatedly take the quest for the factions items in order to turn them in.  Instead, they work like regular barter items.

Me and my husband spent all last night working on the new quest line in Aughaire (sp?) to get the new armor set.  Everytime you complete a round of the quests to gain the trust of the townspeople, they start warming up to you and new quests become available:)

On another note, has anyone else noticed the change to mob pathing?  Havent experimented with it too much, but we had some trouble pulling ranged mobs.  Usually you can run behind a rock and they run to where they can get a line of sight to you.  Now it seems like they get really confused and run around for a while before coming to you.  Might be intentional though ::shrug::

On the cosmetic tab where you equipped your hat you should see a checkbox that says something along the lines of "show this outfit" (would give the the exact text, but I'm at work and can't log in><)  There is one on every tab including a show your armor one.  Click that and it should show the hat.

p.s. you might not have your helm showing, might need to check/uncheck that box on your main character sheet

I'm glad you decided to delete this post.  As someone who hasn't even played the game since beta, it is hard to give an accurate assessment of the game.

So many changes/updates have been made to this game since beta.  I don't know about pirates in the new patch.  There were a couple of small quests where you could turn in items you found on the beach for a pirate hat/eyepatch. 

Personally, I love the game.  Getting to meet and interact with characters like Radagast and Tom Bombadil is cool to me.  I  think Turbine has done a stand-up job in creating a living world (just look at the shire quests, dang hobbits and their pies!!).

But obviously it's not for everyone.  It's hard to find the perfect game.  I'm one of the SWG vets that got shafted with the CU/NGE and I'll probably never find a game I enjoy as much as the pre-CU star wars, but for me, personally, LoTRO rocks.
