As far as it goes, the whole "tunnel flying" is annoying but it's a great jumping off point and a fun diversion when you need a break from side missions.  I'll bet the next major update after launch will include a space update of some kind.

Those are just one set for one class.  While I didn't get anywhere near 50 during beta, I know there were tons of different styles to choose from.  And who knows?  Maybe someone will want to dress up like they're headed to Rio Carvinal.

OMG, looks like what kids see EVERY SINGLE DAY.  Only in real life they don't have to take a screenshot and zoom in to actually see it.  The only way someone would actually see this (and care) would be if they were actively searching for it.

I'm not too upset over this.  On one hand being able to choose your gear based on stats does bring another level to the game but honestly it can be a real hassle sometimes.  Instead of enjoying the game play and such, you pretty much have to put a lot of effort into finding the right gear and find how they work with your class/species traits.

I haven't played the game so I can't judge but I've seen several char creation videos and I find myself wishing that they had borrowed some ideas from Star Trek Online.  Say what you want about that game, but you can make pretty much any type of character you want.

I think they were caught completely off guard at the amount of new players that were coming in.  I managed to get in and create a few characters and I do like the game but I'm going to have to go to the wiki page to figure some of it out.  Why create a tutorial if you're not going to mention some of the more complicated parts?  We don't need to be told how to use the movement and attack keys that are almost the same for EVERY single MMO out there.  Tutorials need to focus on the more unique aspects of the games they're for.

Hmmmm, so the writer is upset that he wasn't given access to more than the tutorial and a pvp zone?

All I've read is a bunch of people who either played for a short time or didn't bother reading the instructions.  

My only problem with Allods is that 75% of the quests in each zone are repeats.  Sure the NPCs and environment are different but it's just a lot of grinding and searching for 10 of this and 15 of that.  I got two of my characters to level 21 and just couldn't play anymore.

This is a very lean game.  What they need to do is add loads more missions.  As it stands now, in order to get to your max level, you've pretty much have to do all the missions in the game.  The Foundery and Weekly episodes are great but if this game wants to survive it's needs to have some depth.  And at least two complete factions.

I'm pretty sure that the reason progress is so slow is due to the fact that any major change has to be green lighted by CBS.  And from what I've seen, those guys can be kind of stingy on that front.  Took forever for them to give permission for the Enterprise-F.

I agree but there are just too many people stuck in the old way of thinking.  That a gay relationship is somehow more "adult" than a straight one.   But if this game is going to be around for the long haul then while they may not be present at launch maybe in a year or two people will be ready to join the rest of us in the 21st century.

Really good update.  I was kind of disappointed that we didn't get a confirmed date for the Enterprise-F.  I'd really like to see it in game.

They said they'd be doing a lot of beta tests in September and I hope that means they'll be inviting a lot of players.  Not just because I want in but to stress test the servers.  Imagine opening day and 3 million people trying to download/log in.

500 by 2025...some players may have to make a new character by then.

I can just imagine every follower having a collective stroke if they announced that it was going to be released a month from now.  I know it won't happen but, wow, what a shock it would be.

CoH is going F2P?  Didn't know that.  Might be worth checking out again to see what changes have been made since I left.

I'll bet they're going to tell us that Darth Vader is really Luke's father.
