OP - WAR, RIFT even WoW and SWTOR were some of the worst at giving you variety in mobs....it's just the way it is....also it's easy to see that the story, lore, location and atmosphere kind dictate where the mobs are, which makes sense. I saw alot of different types of mobs in Solomon Island and I look foward to seeing even more in Egypt. I seriously think some people just WANT to find something wrong with this game...it's almost a "how dare you try to defeat my pop culture MMO's with your not so pop culture game!"....it's kinda amusing. |

- Mob AI in TSW is about 200% better than the Mob AI in SWTOR - Quests in TSW are by far superior to SWTOR's grindfest with dialogue - You can count on the fact that TSW will have raids way before the 6 month period. Funcom is kinda known for and founded the instanced dungeon and don't have a single MMO out that doesnt have Raids....and the raids in AoC are some of the hardest/best Ive done, so that point is pointless. You can't compare the two games....TSW is in a league of it's own....it's a different MMO...there is no use comparing it to anything... |

I'd say it would be pushing it, but I think it would run it. |

Originally posted by Sebber TSW was never touted as the next god in PVP....as a matter of fact, PVP was never really touted at all by Funcom. They mentioned it, but normally after mentioning everything else...this was something I mentioned before the game released (that Funcom focuses on PVE, and throws in PVP) and it held true. there were no surprises there.
As for combat, bad combat? The combat is very similar to GW1 and Rift...kind of a combination....just you can use 2 weapons without swapping, have to think about every skill and passive you use and it can make or break your ease in killing....not sure what is so bad about that? If anything it's standard, but combat preparation requirements are better than most games. |

Originally posted by Wickedjelly I concede then...fair review. Im still in Blue Mountain...im a casual gamer so haven't been to egypt yet. |

Originally posted by FredomSekerZ Exactly....SWTOR was a piece of junk right out of the gates. I played the closed and open beta and never purchased because of that. To give it an 8.0 and TSW a 7.5 (which I also did closed beta for and ended up pre-purchasing) is crazy....but whatever....I just think that gamespot is losing it's review credibility....used to be my #1 place to go for reviews until the one dude stopped reviewing. |

Originally posted by jpnz I wouldn't say all that....they lost their way a few years ago....they had another writer (who did the Vanilla WoW review and was their MMO reviewer) who was the best reviewer i've ever read....he no longer review's and since then their review's have lost a bit of objectiveness. The scores have also been brought down for all games across the board, which is ok, but why do that if the rest of the reveiwing sites and magazines are not. That's kind funky |

Originally posted by jpnz It doesn't need a pass, but it was a little deceptive for the reviewer to not mention that many of the bugs had been fixed in the latest patch...just sayin |

Originally posted by Sebber Did you bother seeing who gave the lower scores...basement dwelling bloggers...lol...nobody of any real credibility. The higher scores were given by much more established companies, inlcuding Ten Ton Hammer. |

Nice one Gamespot....worst review score ever....let's give the game a 7.5 because of bugs that were fixed in the last patch.... The review is actually pretty good, but why put this review out after the first patch only to complain about bugs that were fixed?

Our Dragon Cabal is active and playing and that's really all that matters. Im not too worried about numbers....Im pretty sure this game will scare off a number of "pop" mmo fans since it's a bit more difficult and requires a bit of patience and firguring out. |

Originally posted by JosephJR I'd honestly say that solo, you are gonna find the game a little tough...Imma solo'er I know. But with a group, you get added incentive and the game is a bit more easy. The mobs are tough, but I like the challenge. Im tank specced and now in Blue Mountain not having too much difficulty. But with a grouping adds more incentive...you can go either way...that's the beauty of the game. The Instanced dungeons are some of the best Ive been in...they are like raids for other MMO's |

Originally posted by tokini Yes, and this game does souly depend on a players ability to build the "right build" with the skills offered. There is much more "thought" involved than quick reaction skill (although you need that too especially in dungeons). You need to have all the right ingredients to make the perfect dish, but only you can put the work in to finding out what the right ingredients are. |

Originally posted by Magnum2103 I love that everyone forgets the days of WoW when everything was bugged....when you knew on patch day not to log in because you'd crash a million times anyway. Wasted 2-3 hours? Isn't that what you do when you play a video game anyway? If it's such a bother for you, stop playing. I myself will enjoy it, bugs and all |

Failed attempt, but at least you tried. I am curious though. Why give a review 2-3 days into an MMO releasing? Most have barely broken the surface of this game by that time?
Also, this is definitely a smooth launch compared to other games, ESPECIALLY, considering how many things are different from most MMO's. Whenever you introduce something new to anything, the percentage for failure raises exponentially. |
