The thought of LBW makes me nostalgic of Ultima Online...what a fantastic virtual world that was!

and you automatically assume i hate wow...thats real fresh and exciting. i enjoyed every minute i played WoW, am i interested in it anymore? No. Why? Because I found the lasting effects of older games to be more enjoyable than the warcraft model, such as SWG and UO. The game is fun and very occassionally has good points. but the fact still remains that we see time and time again the same business model or similiar model and why? because it made money for these folks. Youde think with all the reproductions and lack of WoW popularity towards their new product, investors would take a look at it as "we need to corner the market with someone truly new and exciting"

Because the genre needs advacement. as it stands right now its stagnent and disgusting at best because investors think the current model is the end all be all of the genre. Even if the other game isnt a killer, if its a real contender in the ring for WoW. both games and games to come will benefit by bringing new life and ideas to a genre that feels weak pulsed or even near death for that matter...

This is a prime example of i want my cake and eat it too, and my time is worth more than your time. Guess what, you spent the hardwork and time to pvp why complain? You obviously did it because it was fun and now that theres these "rewards" your cry about it? What I find funny is your complaining but you do still have points, which probably means either some of that was pvp or you got some of it from pve so its not like it was completely wasted you know, if you want it that badly then invest time in a DIFFERENT aspect of the game, it has many quit being so one sided.

Flummox, thanks for helping me to remember some of the greatest times ive ever experienced in gaming ever, all those live events in UO can never hold a candle to games these days, and i suppose alot of people wont ever understand that. Thanks again.

This weekend I was minding my own business, doing quests, when BAM! Ganked by a group of Asmodians. Those dirty bastards! I don't mind getting ganked here and there. Sure it can be a lil' bit frustrating, but it adds a bit of excitment and danger to an otherwise pretty ez and safe gameing experience. Aion, like every other pve mmo I can think of, is pretty ez when it comes to killing AI mobs. I can see how the Abyss will be BOTH frustrating AND fun....

The game does your standard mmo fair SO well, that I can live with pvpve. Maybe i'll learn something. Do something a lil' bit out of my comfort zone.......

This is what happens when PvP is done well, im pretty sure one day a rift will spawn next to you, taking you to asmodae, and you will consider seriously going in.

You better believe I am going in solo or not I will find some one to kill :)

And its posts like these that really make me think that this game will do great, its good that it has a healthy mix of both, its a good way to keep a game exciting and fresh on a day to day basis

time mage would be awsome but omg chocobo knight would be rediculously awsome! Chocobo's=win lol

Kinda funny this thread... for all those people who played UO back when it came out, and i mean really think on this, the game was never advertised to be a FFA PVP game, what i find intresting is that MO hasnt said that they are marketing this as a FFA pvp game either. its marketed as a open seemless world made with skills and real life mechanics, im curious where all the sudden people think that just because its a FFA that it automatically makes it a PvP centric game, ever think that maybe its just a virtual world with the same abilities to kill someone in the real world?

This is an opnionated poll thread for people to discuss what they think the release date might be, I wasnt aware it was okay for people like the poster above me to come in here and tell everyone to pretty much shut up and not discuss something without his/her expressed permission :P

Umm not really opinion anymore whether or not this is still in beta, when i was in beta for war it was more complete than it is now ><!
