Flummox, thanks for helping me to remember some of the greatest times ive ever experienced in gaming ever, all those live events in UO can never hold a candle to games these days, and i suppose alot of people wont ever understand that. Thanks again.

omfg the elyos T4 wings look so amazing!

I've been playing all the betas. I have a lvl 20 chanter. I'll say this now, I am a pve carebear. My favorite mmo's have been EQ, LOTR, and SWG(where I was a weapon smith and did NO pvp).

This weekend I was minding my own business, doing quests, when BAM! Ganked by a group of Asmodians. Those dirty bastards! So, i ran back to the same area to finish the quests I was doing.... and you guessed it, BAM! ganked again, no real surprise there. The third time I went back a group of Elyos managed to show up and put them(those Asmodian bastards) down. At this point I was able to finally finish my quests.

So about now you're thinking here comes the carebear complaining/crying. Nope.

I don't mind getting ganked here and there. Sure it can be a lil' bit frustrating, but it adds a bit of excitment and danger to an otherwise pretty ez and safe gameing experience. Aion, like every other pve mmo I can think of, is pretty ez when it comes to killing AI mobs. I can see how the Abyss will be BOTH frustrating AND fun....

The game does your standard mmo fair SO well, that I can live with pvpve. Maybe i'll learn something. Do something a lil' bit out of my comfort zone.......

This pve carebear is going for it!

This is what happens when PvP is done well, im pretty sure one day a rift will spawn next to you, taking you to asmodae, and you will consider seriously going in.

You better believe I am going in solo or not I will find some one to kill :)

And its posts like these that really make me think that this game will do great, its good that it has a healthy mix of both, its a good way to keep a game exciting and fresh on a day to day basis

time mage would be awsome but omg chocobo knight would be rediculously awsome! Chocobo's=win lol

Kinda funny this thread... for all those people who played UO back when it came out, and i mean really think on this, the game was never advertised to be a FFA PVP game, what i find intresting is that MO hasnt said that they are marketing this as a FFA pvp game either. its marketed as a open seemless world made with skills and real life mechanics, im curious where all the sudden people think that just because its a FFA that it automatically makes it a PvP centric game, ever think that maybe its just a virtual world with the same abilities to kill someone in the real world?

This is an opnionated poll thread for people to discuss what they think the release date might be, I wasnt aware it was okay for people like the poster above me to come in here and tell everyone to pretty much shut up and not discuss something without his/her expressed permission :P

best post, short sweet and to the point.

Umm not really opinion anymore whether or not this is still in beta, when i was in beta for war it was more complete than it is now ><!

Ultima Online during its early launch days, talk about unforgiving at times lol

now everyone can be Chung li! or Chun-lee or Chunng-lii or Chungg-lei or Chunk-knee   the possibilities will be endless AND retarded...

It was the release day of UO waaay many moons ago, what a great time that was for sure. Played that one for many many years then started hopping around to the new MMO's out. The thing thats keeps me going is definantly community and the people i befriend while playing, currently playing nothing at the moment, but will probably start AoC pretty soon.

Also another good view of the class, thanks for that post as well, any and all information or viewpoints are welcome!

awsome! Thanks for the post!  The info on the armor was definantly a good heads up too, ill try to find some screenshots on the web to check it out, looking dumb while kicking ass is definantly kinda a downer, who really wants to be a hobo in a suit? lol

After all the changes ive been curious to play a HoX and was wondering if any HoX players or people who know of any sites for good info on them, would be most appreciated! Thanks! Also too share any current experiences with them and different play styles that would be fantastic

typically its classes/skills and how they are portrayed or described. Those 2 things right there can sell me on a game if the premiss and design is attractive.

I can understand how the late fee's could work, the first comes in BAM your charge is applied to whatever card you use for a reaccuring subsciption. dang near no bank has instant online transactions, they go through a "pending" period, where at the end of the pending period the money is then extracted from your account. If by the time you hit your pending end period and there is no money or negative money in your account you would incure the said fee from SE because you didnt fullfil your end of the agreement to the payment for the month. so next time your charged or have to resub cause it cancled, youll have to pay for the fee's charged to the account because "someone" wasnt responsible enough with there money to make sure it was all there.

^agreed^

Thats because people that design and create mmo's have the thought of bringing people together to play a game as a community, i understand that not everyone wants to play together but the only argument ive seen so far in this thread is that some people want all the single player mechanics minus the community but add in updates. Thats not what this market is designed for, granted i wouldnt be suprised if we start seeing more and more single player games like that, but we arent their yet. The fact still remains that this is a multiplayer community and the fact that people who have next to no time want everything to the people who have abit more time (and im not talking about people who play 40+ hours aweek) handed to them via no effort. Want a game that plays itself? fine, just dont think that youll be apart of the community, those people tend to be blacklisted from communities such as this one cause your not capable or understand the basic mechanics of the online gaming formula, which guess what...is muliplayer cooperation.

Can you give some clarification adept? cause i know alot more people that would disagree with you that it doesnt feel final fantasy enough

The sooner the better i say! That means more info should be right around the corner, im so excited :D
