This just looks wickedly fun to do!

Yeah, just a small engine, likely a one-stroke. Plastic body put on a small metal chassis.
If you build one, make me one too. |

The sauce, if you need it, is added at the end. Northern folks add the sauce to the entire deal, not just a little bit on top. I don't eat the BBQ where I live now, it is swimming in all sorts of sauce and what not. People just cook meat and throw it in sauce and call it BBQ here. If you ever go to Kentucky, I can show you real Southern BBQ. |

Says the guy with a Legolas signature....
I saw something on the history channel once, something like weapons of star wars. They were showing that it is possible to have a lightsabre weapon, encasing plasma in a magnetic field; but the machine that is capable of generating the field along with the plasma is the size of a warehouse. It would need to be a magnetic field in order to work like a sword against other sabres and blaster shots. So....you need to make a smaller generator and you'll be set.

Would you fight or support the Superhero Registration Act?
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 4/23/09 9:21:01 AM
Wouldn't affect me. I'd be a super villain, thus above the law and not all whiny and emotionally conflicted like the lame superheroes. |

Yeah, I know. It is a small attack, but I'm sick of all the Mac commercials and users constantly telling me how great their computers are. A Mac will never get a virus, blah blah blah. GG, you paid $2500 for a $700 pc equivalent. http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/04/22/first.mac.botnet/index.html |

Fat people are causing Global Warming.

Originally posted by Dekron If you're joking, I laughed at your humor, if you're serious, I laughed at the sheer stupidity of that comment. Is it somehow warmer in a fat person's home? Fat people fridges? Fat people have more body mass, and heat the house up more - more air-conditioning. Their fridge is full of food, causing the fridge to work harder to keep itself cool - more electricity.

is it worth changing to Vista from XP

Those same techs also said the same thing when XP came out and they were running 95 or 98, if they were even working at that point. The only difference here is Microsoft is pouring the amount of money into Vista to make it workable like they did with XP. They just jumped ship and started on 7. |

Fat people are causing Global Warming.
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 4/21/09 5:57:53 PM
The fat people cost more fuel to transport, more emissions and more fuels spent overall. They also take more water to wash themselves, more food to feed themselves, more electricity to power their giant fridges and more fabric for their clothes. They might not cause "global warming", but they do waste a lot. |

Actually there are laws in place that curb and prevent the practice of racism. The majority of which only apply to public institutions. I wouldn't expect you to know this. You explained, really? All I saw was you laying down all of those absolutes which you are so fond of. Go ahead and explain a little better as to why the movement against opression in all aspects of life, (jobs, loans, schools, restaurants, water fountains, etc.) is the same thing as not allowing two homosexuals "make it legal"? |

How nice that you should be the one to judge what is right for people to believe in and what is wrong. Makes it pretty easy to judge others, and provide a little bit of that intolerance that you so love to slam. I especially like the correlation to racism, quite a stretch to pull on those "shame shame RACIST!!!" strings huh? Frankly I don't care who gets married and who doesn't. Take a look at civil rights protests and then a look at gay rights, they are not the same. Both are an effort to garner rights that have been taken away, one has to suffer and pay a much higher cost in terms of human abuse and loss of life. Last time I checked, there wasn't an organization dedicated to the murder and terrorization of the gay rights movement. Comparing the two is just a weak attempt to shame people into agreeing with you. You are the judge afterall, we should look to you on what to believe in every social situation, right? |
