Polyphasic Sleep (Uberman Sleep Schedule)
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 5/11/09 10:36:33 AM
Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer tries something similar. Ends up at the bottom of the river. I'm with Sab on this, I don't see how you could do it while working. |

Quite a few interesting movies coming out, but I'll likely only see 3. Terminator, Harry Potter and Transformers |

All the controversy and pro-same-sex-marriage lynch mobs lining up to have at her have catapulted this woman in to a much better position than she would have been if she just won the competition. Instead of the 15 mins of fame from winning, she is getting 30 and some more money. |

What do you think about the ED commercials?
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 5/07/09 10:27:20 AM
I think we have bigger things to worry about besides what kids or immature adults think about ED commercials. C'mon, about as inappropriate as yeast infection or "heavy flow day" commercials. http://amfix.blogs.cnn.com/2009/05/07/erectile-dysfunction-ads-too-hot-for-tv/ |

Originally posted by Dekron I like Star Trek, but I am not a trekkie - no conventions here. Look at it this way - remember Star Wars Galaxies? It's only Star Wars by name. If this movie is nothing of the Star Trek canon, or remotely similar, it is simply an IP attached to special effects to make money - nothing more. That's all i'm saying.
Anymore, eye-candy is just as important as the story. I haven't followed the movie real close, I don't like seeing the whole movie in previews before paying for it; but I don't think they ever said it would be a rendition of the originals. Let's face it, they needed a fresh take since the last Trek movies have not done so well. I liked them all, even though they were just like a long episode.
Edit - I thought this was hilarious and totally applicable to the current discussion, check it out. http://www.theonion.com/content/video/trekkies_bash_new_star_trek_film?utm_source=a-section |

Probably not, but you never know. A lot of people liked the transformers movie and didn't like the original cartoons. Just ante up $12 or whatever ticket prices are in your area. If nothing else, you can flame it on imdb with all the hard-core trekkies that think it is bastardizing their religion. |

Glad to hear it is a good movie.
They need to stop worrying about what the hyper-nerds are going to think of the film, as it follows original story lines. Those people will never be satisfied. |
