No, you're correct. The industry as a whole has stagnated, and just repeatedly copies each other over and over until we get a mixed version of "Boring" & "Overdone Linear Questing" to the point of nausium.
 
Games are getting more boring, because they refuse to innovate rather than stagnate.

Personally from someone who works in the industry, i feel the same as this, many AAA titles are the same type of content, over and over, with small to slight variations from here and there.. Someone else also mentioned that too many games are typing to capture a larger audience, than focus on something.. I also agree with this.

I too Am having this Problem, and cant seem to find where all the Alerts have gone, Its quiet a pain because i dont want to visit the site every day having to look for new article n news, hence why i get them emailed.

Any Help on this Matter from an MMORPG person would be great.

Real ID / Facebook Connect / All others Is a Joke, There is No Privacy,  They share information wherever you log in, exploit your info for advertising purposes. and even work with governments for "our" protection. What a joke!

Pravacy on the internet is moving to a thing of the past, just wait for Real ID / All others to evolve.

guild wars is Easy to get into, like wow, hence its 6 million sold copies..

Guild wars 2 has alot of potentual, the Art work is just plain beautiful..

Tabula Rasa with everything everyone has said... Has Masssive Potentual, Great fun, etc...

Oh Yes, How this Genre is Screaming out for Innovation.. While Many MMOs have a Few good Ideas, the Next one that Manages to Create a Fun, Meaningful Combat system with all the Social polish will be onto a winner.. So Far 40k Just looks like a WAR, WoW Clone.. Lets hope its more Tabula Rasa Gameplay..
