Never seen that trailer for WOW before and I have to say it's looking Fantastic :D I look at WAR and see a ugly horrible world and then look at that trailer and they've taken soooo much effort into creating a interesting world I want to explore.

To be fare both videos are 2 different videos with very different purpose's in mind.

The old War one was a video designed to preview the game showing the various iconic warhammer monsters that were in it with a famous Warhammer Celebrity giving an onimouse voice-over.

Meanwhile the WoW video is a preview video of the new expansion designed to showcase the new areas it introduces as well as some of the new features it has such as sieges. It also has a voiceover who is supposed to give you a basic introduction of the expansions story.

So yea War video is ugly but it is supposed to be as that version was more darker. And the Wow video is pretty because its showcasing a new expansion.

Really? you must be looking at a different video then. And you ignor the fact that version of warhammer doesant exist anymore as well as the fact that trailer was probably made years before anyone heard of Wrath of the Lich king. Also your post is a bit off topic.

I don't, but I'm having a great time laughing at its downfall!  I had to live through the BS that Funcom pulled on us with AO not knowing what I do now cause nobody knew who Funcom was then and MMOs were pretty new!  I did however expect all this with AoC so I never got into it!  In my attempt to warn some people about AoC and Funcom's past, nobody wanted to listen and I got called a troll just cause I have a WAR sig promoting my guild!

I have every right to laugh at the crap that Funcom is doing to its game and customers once again!  I seriously can't beleive that they'd attempt doing it again after the AO fiasco!  Everyone that bought the game and continues to test their beta, or more like an alpha had plenty of warning and deserves no sympathy. 

 

wheres this downfall? the servers are still full, the game sold at least 700k which is a huge succes for a western mmo in the WoW-age

now i must be a aoc fanboi who gets paid by fc, guess again. i never played aoc (how i know the servers are full? i know enough ppl who do play aoc), i just laugh at you and how much you care about a game u dont even play. boring waitin for WAR isnt it? at least u can spend your time in this forum

True but Blizzard seem to be better at this than SOE.

Personally i think the debate of who is responsable for Americas Economic problems is irrelibvent compared to the Question of how do you fix things.

In the end its more important to fix the problem than to lay blame on those responsable for starting the problem in the first palce.

I think it started when they took over Star Wars Galaxies. Aparently before SOE took over that game was pretty good but when SOE took over they turned it from what was aparently an unique and interesting game with some good ideas into it into a Sci-Fi near-clone of Everquest. Also i hear that before SOE becoming a Jedi was VERY hard but after SOE it was changed and pretty soon everyone and there dog was a Jedi as it was so easy to become one.

I never palyed Star Wars Galaxies so this is all second hand info.

Yea i remember that version of warhammer but in the end there was very little real info on that version and very few screenshots so its not like we knew what it was really going to be like.

EvE online probably had the smoothest launch compared to most if not all other games. This was partly due to the server structure which was setup to hold 50,000 people at the time [i think] and the popualtion at start was like not far from 8,000 online at once. And because of this yuo could put everyone in the same server node and probably not have any game breaking lag.

What also helped CCP was how the population grew [as in slowly], so this gave them time to plan needed capacity and software upgrades in time for when they were needed. One thing i did notice that probably had something to do with how the software was pretty good for a new game was how the various systems such as how the guns work or say for example missiles were very basic. As it turned out the systems were stand in's. In other words such systems were not finished so they put in a basic version in the game to keep us happy till the new system was ready to be inserted.

Of course this created much crying o the forums as most peopel were comfortable with for example how missiles worked where there were only like at most 5 skills you needed to learn then suddenly CCP put an extra 10 onto that. Of course now we are used to the full systems but back then it was a learning curve.

Well out of the few MMO's ive palyed id have to go for EvE. I like the way you move and the speed you go affects how hard you are to hit and how hard it is to hit your oponentt. Then there is the customisation of your ship which is pretty comprehensive with over 500 modules, 20 implants and over 50 Rigs [basically implants for ships].

Then there is the team based system where you each ahve roles which you can use to attack and hopfully win in a fight against a superior oponent [or just one that has more friends nearby].

I pretty much agree with this view.

Also if you want to end a conversation fast one way i do it is i just say that i need to go now if there isnat anything else have a nice day.

Another way is to ask them if they ahve anything important to pass along just text it so i can read it later.

I'm afraid to say this is just another example of the Politically correct running political thinking here in Britain.

If you ever wanted to see what would happen to a country if it was taken over by the bleeding heart Liberals who are all for 'Minority' faiths, Prisoner rights and things like Criminal rights [over victim rights]. Them study whats happening in Britain.

I will say tho that Fox news have distorted the story a little tho as they were not made to Pray to Allah, just to pray like a Muslim. And no official statement has come out of that school yet.

It will need a majour change in gameplay as im pretty tired of Dungeon grind games which is what Diabalo was before everyone else started making them too, which is why Diabalo is the best Dungeon grind as it was the first.
