:O Nice...

Installing now, I suggest everyone to try it out ^^ Even if you just had a trial account, 2 free months... why not!

EDIT: hehe no problem ^^ We all make mistakes now dont we?

Yeah doesnt mean anything, I've had my beta codes since the day Pre-Orders were available.

Awesome! I have 2 months for EQ2! Thanks man! Gonna start the install right now :)

Actually the free trial does count.  Any account or free trial that was inactive on April 30th and was in good standing.  To check just log into the station account you did the trial with and look at the subscription details for EQ2, you should see all the expansions activated, several gifts and an active subscription till August 31st.

From the knowledge base (trial typo included):

Which accounts are given free time?
All inactive subscribers in good standing and trail accounts as of April 30th, 2008, can play EverQuest and EverQuest II with the latest content at no charge during this promotion.

Oh nice, thanks I'll go check that out right now.

True, but what im saying is their efforts to bring down botting etc brought down runescape, thats MY view atleast...

Mass banning worked perfect, but they did not really have enough time for that, the two times they DID do it we saw a MAJOR decline in the bot population.

Fact is, I miss Runescape... Behind the crappy browser based graphics, it used to be a deep game with an awesome economy, amazing PvP and what not.

Ah ok, thanks a lot.

Theres a trial on the front page, a 3 day one but thats more than enough to know if its the game for you or not.

Eh, not just PKing, staking and trading... mostly trading. RS has no proper economy now, by that I mean like what it used to be.. merchanting etc, all dead.

A 3d game in PhP?

Sorry for being rude, but do you have ANY idea what it takes to make a game? Coding is just half of it.

And also, botting is still pretty much alive... so is RWT, they tried hard; but failed.

Old news :)

I believe taking out Staking, Trading, and PKing ruined the game big time...

Makes me miss the old days, Runescape Classic... ooh... good ol' days... even the community back then was... sooo much more mature.

EDIT: and the counter is still there.

Is this only for people who have previously subscribed to the game or what? I played the trial once a while back and im interested in playing the 2 months thingy free...

However I did not get any E-Mail or anything, so is there a way to get it?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

TBH im a big warhammer fan, but I like WAR 40k about three times as much as I like WAR.

WAR 40k is just... kinda unique.

Im most probably going to play WAR (99% sure of it) and no matter how GOOD it is, even if I dont get bored of it ill still quit to play WAR 40k online when it comes out, ofc it all depends on if the gameplay is good.

My point is, for me 40k > WAR

Now thats just straight up weird .... DDO IS NOT A PERMADEATH GAME, dont play it as one.

They're about to reset all shadowbane servers, so its just gonna be like playing a game at launch... personally i cudnt stand the game cuz of the controls..

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, how many times does this need to be covered, in HOW many different games?

There's NO release date until the makers of the game officially announce one.  All other dates are mere guesses.

QED.

Did you even read what I wrote?

I see many people pine for the days of the "sandbox" games, typically UO and SW:G. Some point to AC1.

These were all skill based systems, but does skill based system mean "sandbox"?

The thing I see in common between those three is not an intentional "sandbox" design, but rather, no storyline. Both AC1 and SW:G shipped without any reason to do anything. That's a flaw in my book, not a bonus.

So, all the proponents of a sandbox design, what is your ideal system? Do you bother with a story? Do you bother with skills? Classes? Archetypes? What's the end game consist of? PvP everywhere all the time no limits?

A skill-based game with no levels, no restrictions.

Best example is oldskool UO in my opinion.

Well, those of you who have already pre-ordered the game I sure hope its worth it.

But dont spend 90 dollars on it, you can get it for 80! (Talking about the collectors edition)

GameStop sells the collectors edition Pre-Order for $89.99 But with it you get some more extras, like the War Mammoth mount.

Amazon.com sells the collectors edition Pre-Order for $78.99 But they have no where mentioned whether or not you get a War Mammoth.

Only the GameStop one says you get a Mammoth, so whats up with that?

Just thought i'd share this and get my question answered.
