I have a family, and very limited playtime. But I have found a very nice clan that accept that I just log on when I happen to have time, and not demand that I do this or that.
You can play DF very casually if you want to. |

And your point being? That dfo don't take skill? or that it does not take talent? because I have never argued talent. .only skill, skill kan be learnt, just as you say. I don't want to be rude to you, but your post does not make any sence. |

I understand what you would like, however that would be close to impossible to implement, I would also like to say, wait for your char to build up, as it does a lot more options will become available to you and make combat ALOT more frantic. It will not add very many different melee styles (whirlwind, powerattack, knockback sieze and disabling blow..) but when you mix in archery, mounted combat and magic into the same fight, you will break a sweat and you will strart to see the fun in it. |

It really is an oldschool troll!! tenspotting is that you?! When 10 ppl tell you that you dont KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PvP IN DF 2 WEEKS IN why would you not listen? your opionion in this matter is obviously void. |

Pointing out that it's all about spawn camping and not twitch skills. I get the distinct impression you're going through a similar experience in Darkfall that these guys do in any game that requires twitch skill, especially since everyone is used to being an uber warrior of pwnage in most theme park MMORPGs. What I'd be interested in is if you also listed your PvP deaths and kills so that we could get a clear picture of exactly how much PvP you've done. Also gear and stats do matter but quite frankly if you have bad twitch skills it wouldn't make any difference except maybe you died a tad slower and took one or two extra hits to kill. You learn to fight in DFO by losing not by reading which two keys to spam on a website and jumping some guy in WoW with 5K hp while you have 100k hp!
I can understand why you feel the need to bring my personal skill level into this. Mentioning that this game doesn't really require skill probably conflicts with what you have been told about this game. If you played darkfall it would be a quick realization that there isn't that much skill required. Of course some people like to think that they have skill and that they are playing a "skilled" game, and feel threatened whenever someone reveals that there isn't much skill required at all.
The thing that YOU and many other miss is this: In the beginning when you are a new player, PvP in DFO is very basic and does not leave you many options, the twich the strategy and the good times start when you have gotten a ways on you char development. You want to be handed and uber-mage from the get go, so this game is obviously not for you. But YOU obviously don't know is what this game requires abit down the road, so quite yer whining because it is painfully obvious that you have not played enough to draw these conclutions. |

you guys just want everything handed to you, if you cant be the best-über-pvp'er in 2 weeks the game sux.
And on a side note, to those of you saying that the game is not twitchbased, it is not it istwitch-related, and that is 1000 times better than Alt-Tab-fire, try to play against one of equal skill and you will see. |

It feels very simple, until you get it. |

The thing is that you seem to expect a wow-world where you enter an area and see 3 different spawns too choose from. DF isn't that kind of game, and you do it a great injustise buy compairing them |

Even if that were the case, finding $1 in a couch cushion is easy. Heck, you could probably get $1 out of a soda machine coin slot if you searched hard enough. But that isn't the issue here. But you're just an ignorant person, so I guess I can't blame you.
Surely you are joking right? Calling someone else ignorant, after your own post before this one? My god. |

Haha to even charge for a trial? Then its not a trial. And I dont care about the money I can buy 10 copies just for the sake of it. But now when I see how greedy they are about it I will NEVER .. EVER.. play Darkfall or give them 1 cent. Thanks for the info !
Good, we don't want ingnorant players in the community |

AV office:
-"Charge 1 $ for trial? wouldn't that scare off a big protion of those that could be interested in the game?" -"If they cant afford 1$ how will they afford 15$/month?" If we charge 1$ we will protect the existing community (now name one other company that thinks like that?!) and stop the rampart goldfarming chineese.. /End thread |

Peoples responses to the review are just humorus. Darkfall - PvP full loot, risk v reward all you who try to trash the game, you just like levels, gloss, no risk.

So what I read there are only one server in US, right? Are there any Euros here that can tell me if the server is dead during euro-primetime, and if the lag is a big issue? Cheers! |

CitiesXL: Beta Code For MMORPG.com Users
News Discussion « General Discussion 7/03/09 2:09:05 PM
Perhaps you should add a note that the beta seams to be full since the beta-app page no longer are available?

So it is in English? I have found this little pressrelease:
"Monte Cristo is very happy to announce that Cities XL, the next generation city builder, will be released on September 3rd 2009 on PC DVD in the following countries: France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Austria, in French and German languages. A release is planned for other countries, we will announce a precise date as soon as possible."
That bothers me. |
