Clueless.

Impressive ad...All I'll add to this thread...

Haha, that was disturbingly funny.
Shows how low PVP can be in WoW though. |

What do you think of Eve Onlines real time skill system?
Jita (General) « EVE Online 9/07/06 5:48:28 AM
I like it, it's different. Also gives you an incentive to return once you've taken a break from Eve.

Balter, you took the situation into your own hands by stooping as low as that guy. You obviously never read WoW's Code of Conduct and thus, you are being punished. Enjoy the 3 day punishment, and next time, just appeal them.

Lion's Arch (General) « Guild Wars 8/09/06 9:17:34 PM
I have them all except Prince Rurik and Shiro, and ofcourse, the ever so expensive super rare Bone Dragon. I love my Siege Turtle, but it's also amusing having a Charr follow you around. ;)

Pets are desirable items in GW, and collector's will pay good platinum for it.
View this page, it lists all the pets minus the Miniature Kuunavang, which owners of the GW Factions: Collector's Edition recieve. Pets listing; http://www.guildwars.com/events/ingame/birthdaypresents.php |

World PVP exists in the form of a worldwide tournament via, a guild ranking system. Also, any player can spectate your guild matches, so it's quite a good feature in GW, although I've not experimented much with it.

And then there's also the "optional" retail expanions that get released for WoW every few years.

Factions being the latest GW expansion, takes place on a new continent called Cantha which is south of Tyria, and this new continent has an Asian culture. Tyria itself is the same old place. Guild Wars always had that Asian theme anyways, but it looks more stronger in Factions. It also happens to look wonderful. The new main menu screen is there to entice you to buy Factions, and I'm sure the Factions screens will be replaced by Nightfall menus when the new expansion is released in a few weeks.
But I guess ArenaNet needed to branch out to appeal to their Asian audience, as most MMORPG's do...As did Everquest II with their Asian SOGA models, and Eve Online with it's Red Moon Rising expansion recently which introduced Asian races. Welcome back. ;) |

If you care very little for story development, and you don't even need to play through Prophecies to enjoy the Factions story, then I would get Factions, I have both Prophecies and Factions, and I find the Roleplaying experience is greater in Factions. It's faster to level your toons through Factions also, so it's good if you want to try out several characters. As a bonus, the new character models at the character creation screens also look better graphically (more detail, sharper) in Factions then they do in Prophecies.

PlanetSide: Interview with Thom Terrazas
News Discussion « General Discussion 7/03/06 6:54:26 PM
Ooh, he neither denied this or confirmed it. I'd love to see a Planetside 2, I love Planetside' gameplay and concepts, would love to have this gameplay on a better graphics engine though. For example, DX10 ready for Vista and no more basement blackouts and better performance. ;) |

The Book of Atrus; The Book of Ti'ana; The Book of D'ni
General Discussion « Myst Online: URU Live 6/28/06 9:16:37 AM
Thankyou so much NeoGhola for that info. I'm eager to get stuck into those books, but still waiting for it to arrive. Yeah, I saw the sample of The Book of Marrim in my Collector's Edition of Myst V, but I dare not read it incase it may spoil anything from the previous books.
I'm liking the story so far in Myst IV, but I adored the story of Riven, and I thought Ghen to be a great character, cold and calculating, yet menacing and charming, I simply couldn't decide whether he was good or bad, or simply misunderstood, but that was at the beginning stages of Riven, you soon discover things about him. I'm hoping there's more of Ghen in either of those books. ;) |
